Fried food is their thing and beyond that selections are minimal. It's a nice setting on the beach but little effort is put forth on much else not to mention it's overpriced. I see a lot of bad reviews. I think you've got to set the right expectations for the dock: 1: you're on a white sand beach in Pensacola FL - where you can LEGALLY drink right on the beach. Folks, you can't do this in Key West! 2. The drinks are mostly premixed. About $8 per cup. Not bad. If you want to go nuclear, get the fishbowl size drink with an extra shot. Don't get sunburned tho. 3. You are within walking distance of several other bars and entertainment estaba. Just lighten up, and the bartender will be with you when they can. I promise you - they are keeping track of who shows up to the bar. Highly recommended! read more

We are locals and went there last night at about 12 for my daughter's birthday. The man bun bartender and another male staff member were so incredibly rude. There were only a few people in there when we arrived, and no one was checking IDs at the door. We had flounders drinks when we arrived and the male staff member came over to us very abruptly and said "hey! We don't allow outside drinks in here!" And he stormed off. We very quickly said "ok, no problem. We can throw them away." Which we did. There was no need for the rude attitude, we weren't arguing about it. Then when we went to order drinks any time we asked a question about a drink, he was very rude and acted very annoyed with us for no reason. It was obvious they were hoping to shut down early and go home and they did not want us there. After ordering drinks and hanging out for an about 20-30 mins, the staff the. decided to tell us that you have to be 21 to be in there. My daughter and her friends were 19, and do not look 22 so the fact that they waited to even say anything was very strange. As we were walking out we saw the DJ immediately packing up his equipment. We all got the feeling that they were just wanting to leave. I have never in my life had to deal with such rude and unfriendly staff. I now understand why there were only a few people in there. If you want more business, I would definitely have a chat with your employees about how they treat customers, especially LOCALS. read more

Pretty fun outdoor atmosphere... I only got drinks here. Great view of ocean. Drinks were awesome! Live band. And they have theme nights.

While flying our kite on a cold windy day at the beach we decided to go grab a quick drink and boy was this drink DELICIOUS, especially with the extra floater! We didn't get a chance to order food but on the agenda next time.. It's really a perfect spot right on the Gulf to sit back, relax and enjoy the ocean view. read more

It's really hard to rate this place. It's right on the beach, with a nice view of the water. There's a bar with pool tables, so I'm sure it's a happening place during the season. It wasn't busy when we tried it. The menu wasn't large and we didn't actually order food. We'd planned to, but it was clear that there was only one server for the entire restaurant. She was doing the best she could and it was not her fault at all. If there had been another server to help with the lunch customers, we would have had lunch. What a joke. This is not the place to go--even if you're on the beach and looking for a convenient spot to fuel. We attempted to place a to go order, but was rudely informed over the phone that they no longer accept to go orders via phone. My husband walked inside and was triple charged from the menu prices. Upon inquiring with the bartender, the manager came out and threatened him with all kinds of colorful language. #1 $3 vodka special doesn't include any mixer even though waitress said it did #2 no prices on anything #3 tipped our waitress decent and we are pretty sure she stole our sons phone/wallet. When we questioned them one said that rarely happens and one said it happens all the time. My husband asked the staff if a phone had been turned in because our sons was missing and they asked if it was "the blonde boy's". When my husband asked if he could leave his number if it showed up the bartender asked for my sons password for his phone so if it showed up so they can call from it. What a bummer. We were so excited to try Docks. We heard that they have the best Bushwhacker with Screwball peanut butter floater, in Pensacola. We went out of our way to make the trip and unfortunately our experience with outside bartender Erica was not a good one. We had been waiting at the outside bar for a few minutes with Erica repeatedly walking by us (it was not busy). She then rudely told us, "you can go inside where the bartender isn't busy." Erica's bar did not seem any busier than the inside bar. We went inside and the bartender inside was very sorry for our experience and offered to comp our drinks, which we did not accept. He only let us pay for 1 of the 2 drinks and again expressed that he was sorry for Erica's behavior. Maybe she was having a bad day. This place is on the beach. They have a sign up that restrooms are only for paying customers. Fine. Completely understandable as they are on the beach. After ordering and paying, we were told we couldn't use the restroom to go to the business next door or the public restroom down the beach. The fish and the shrimp poboys are absolutely devine but the side dish of french frys are absolutely the worst! The french frys came out super greasy like they were fried 3 days ago. I added chili cheese and jalapeno peppers to mines which did mask the bad fries a little but not enough that I could eat them all. The atmosphere was very enjoyable they had alive band that played a great mix of music during set to keep everyone entertained. The openness of the bar allows beach goers to walk right up from the beach to order drinks dance and food which adds to the greatness of this spot. It does however rain in spots on the covered back porch so if your not wanting to get wet pick your seat belt careful. There aren't many waitress but we were greeted and served with in 15 mins of arriving. So if your looking for A-1 service this is not your spot. Enjoy fun in the sun at The Dock read more

We were from out of town and came here for a night or two when we were in Pensacola. The bartender Mr. Bobby was awesome and took great care of us. But the owner and bouncers kicked some of my buddies and some girls out for not wearing shoes. They left and all they did was ask if they could pay 50 bucks to stay a little longer. The three bouncers and owner then slammed my buddy and pushed a girl down. We talked to some locals and they let us know that everyone has bad experiences there. read more
