Taking him to Petsmart for grooming always caused massive anxiety, and it would take him a day or two to recover. Our experience with Dez has been fabulous. She runs her business out of her home, and is extremely accommodating to my ever-changing schedule and last minute snafus that tend to arise with a toddler! Dez always hugs Winston and pays attention to him the minute we come in the door. When I pick him up, he's never upset, tail is always wagging, and his haircut always looks wonderful. Dez can decorate your dog's fur with harmless stencils that last until you bathe the dog, and Winston always ends up with an adorable bandana after his visit. I highly, highly recommend Dez. Your dog would sit in a cage at Petsmart for hours before receiving attention. With Dez, your dog is usually finished within 1.5-3 hours and always is given special, one-on-one attention.

When booking online, the system prompts you to enter your card information immediately after selecting an appointment. Typically, this step indicates that a deposit will be processed, but that wasn't clearly communicated at the time of booking. When a team member later called to confirm my appointment, I mentioned that I had already entered my card information during the booking process. There was no follow-up from the team to clarify whether the deposit had been received, and since no additional communication was sent, I reasonably assumed everything was confirmed. However, I received a text message at 5:40 p.m. on 10/10/25 -- about 20 minutes before closing -- stating that my appointment scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on 10/11/25 had been canceled. I immediately called and texted but didn't receive a response until the next morning when the business reopened, at which point the appointment was already canceled. Given that appointments here are often booked weeks, if not months, in advance, it's extremely difficult to pivot or make alternate arrangements on such short notice. The lack of follow-up and the last-minute cancellation were disappointing, especially considering the time and planning it takes to secure a spot. I'm sharing this feedback constructively, as I understand things happen, but clearer communication and more proactive customer service would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.
