Come hungry Lots of great desserts, silvannas, cakes, etc. Matcha, Uber, Zed, Zion, and BZ cakes. Great information about each on their website Individual size, slightly shareable, and fully shareable (11 × 8). All made by the owners, fresh everyday. Note the hours so you don't miss out. Enjoy!!!

We recently found this small bakery called Bakes and Pastes and decided to try it out. I believe their specialty is the Zion cake, so we went with that first. It's a mix of dark and white chocolate, and honestly it was so good. Super moist and creamy, and not too sweet. Just a really nice balance of flavors. Everyone in our family loved it. We also got the cashew silvanas, and those were a hit too. Buttery and crunchy, definitely something we would order again. We are already planning our next visit and are excited to try more of their items, such as the Zed cake and the yema cake. Service was very friendly as well. Overall, such a great find and definitely a place we will keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

This place has the best silvanas. We're trying the assorted today. So excited!!! You gotta go here Tuesday-Friday 11-6pm and Saturday 11-3pm.

Tried the Zion cake today, after not having been back in 2 years. Very moist & creamy. It is now my new favorite item at Bakes & Pastes. I'm making it a priority to come back & purchase their silvanas, when I'm in the mood for an crispy indulgent treat. Highly recommend!

Just go! Get the Sans Rival Cake, Zed Cake, and Silvanas! Just try everything. I've tried them all and they are DELICIOUS. I've been buying desserts from them ever since I found them on IG operating from their home. Great desserts--hindi masyado matamis!"

Love love love this bakery!! Must try their zion and bz cake. We get it for every occasion and everyone we introduce this cake falls in love with the cakes. Service is always top notch and so kind. They sell other filipino pastries like crinkles, silvanas, and cookies.

All looks yummy! Gotta try the other cakes and cookies next time! Will definitely come back!

Our favorite bakery in the area! Definitely a must to pre order ahead of time because their line can get long and they run out of stock on holidays and weekends. Zion and BZ cake is our go to for all birthdays and events but Ube is also our fave seasonal flavor. Not too sweet and reasonably priced.

I saw one sitting pretty like she was just waiting for me! Yes! Yes! Yes! It's a bit messy to dig in with my fingers so I'm typing this to temporarily distract myself until we get to our destination! Thank you chef/baker/magic maker. May the Lord bless your lovely hands and heart.

Bz cake. Best cake everrrrr!!! Very moist with just enough sweetness.

Best cake everrr!!! Very Moist with just enough sweetness. You won't regret eating this.

If you're a chocolate lover, this dessert spot is an absolute must-try! Their famous BZ cake is hands down one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. It's a perfectly moist, rich, two-layer dark chocolate cake drenched in their signature chocolate sauce and served in a convenient foil tray. Every bite is decadent and unbelievably satisfying- exactly what a chocolate cake should taste like. Their Zion Cake is another standout. This dessert features three layers of dark chocolate cake topped with a mix of their signature white and dark chocolate sauces. It's available in two sizes: the "Not to Share" 8x8" (which honestly disappears fast!) and the larger "To Share" half-tray size. Whether you're treating yourself or feeding a crowd, both options deliver the same indulgent, high-quality experience. Because these cakes are so popular, they tend to sell out quickly - so it's best to place your order online ahead of time. Trust me, once you try their cakes, you'll understand why they don't stay on the shelves for long. A definite 10/10 for dessert lovers!

Love this place so much! Their Zion chocolate cake is my favorite as well as their cashew and pistachio silvanas! I highly recommend this Filipino bakery for their delicious and moist cakes!

    Shannon Z.

I am not exaggerating when I say that the Zion cake here is the best chocolate cake I have ever had in my entire life. The cake itself is super rich and moist and the chocolate cream on top is so decadent and high quality - but at the same time it's not too sweet. I definitely will be getting future birthday cakes here. The silvanas are really delicious too! We ordered an assorted box which comes with cookies and cream, pistachio, and cashew. The cookies are nice and buttery with wafery like texture. Everything here is so delicious and highly recommend!!!

Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.

We came in around 730pm on a Monday night and there were a few tables taken. I thought that was a good sign since it was kind of cold tonight...if people are choosing to come here on a cold night, there must be a reason why! When we walked in, there was a gal at the counter, but was on her phone. Barely looked up to greet us, which wasn't a big deal since there are kiosks for you to order, but what I thought was kind of strange was she didn't bother trying to help us when we kept saying out loud "there are no photos of this or that" literally just on her phone and not trying to explain any of their menu items. The kiosk set up is on top of the counter, so we were asking these questions right in front of her. Lol. Made me wonder what the point of her sitting there was. Might as well have been in the back to watch whatever she was watching on her phone to make things less awkward. Luckily both our desserts were fine, but I did not appreciate having someone sitting at the counter only to let you know they don't care if 1) it's your first time there, 2) are confused by some of their dessert names, and 3) photos are missing for many of their items listed in the kiosk. The tables were dirty, my bag got wet from whatever was left from the previous party. Not cool. If the service (or lack there of) was better and tables clean I may have rated this place higher. Though the desserts were decent, not I'll be back. ** Warning Auto Tip: I noticed when I got home that they added a 12% tip to my total. There was no option to get a printed receipt nor was there a step to review ANY tip. I've never experienced such a thing, especially when this is a self service/pick up cafe **

I mentioned that I'd rather order a different drink if they didn't have ripe avocados. She checked with the kitchen and came back right away to let me know they didn't have any ripe avocados. I ended up ordering the Jelly Coco instead. It was my first time trying it, and I actually enjoyed it. The coconut water was refreshing, but it didn't have many toppings. Aside from the coconut meat and basil seeds, there were only a few pieces of lychee. I do wish they would temporarily remove the Sweet Avocado from the menu if they know they don't have ripe avocados. It would save customers from ordering something that can't be made properly.
