Best crawfish I've ever had. Woodsons has nothing on the draft crawfish. Soooooo Delicious!!!!!

Went to The Draft last nite for the first and last time. Arrived just before 730pm and were seated right away. The waitress was friendly enough, took the drink order and appetizer order. About ten minutes later she she took our meal order. The appetizer came and by about 810pm no dinner. We asked about the meal as only about four other groups there. The waitress came back and said it would be about five more minutes. At 830 still no food. A member of our party spoke to the manager at the bar. A few minutes later he came to our table and said just a few more minutes. We asked why the delay and he said it had only been thirty minutes. I corrected him and he became defensive and said no only thirty minutes. We chose to leave at this time as he was more concerned about being right than listening to the customer. It's too bad because an apology and rushing our order would have gotten us to stay. We paid for the drinks and appetizer and went elsewhere. Food is decent, but nothing special. Service is average at best. We have been there 4 times and 3 out of 4 times we were not impressed because of things laid out in this review, but this last visit was the nail in the coffin and we will not return. We always try new local places and try to give them a chance, but I just don't see this place surviving. There is always something off atmosphere wise. On Thursdays they have a DJ, which in theory is a good idea but it's not practical for this place and location. It's mostly an upper middle class, middle aged crowd and the DJ is just out of place, awkward, and annoyingly loud in a sports bar/restaurant that has just a few couples sitting around eating and trying to watch sports. On Friday they have karaoke. Again, good in theory, but just awkward. The waitstaff seems incredibly inexperienced for the most part. Their service is always very mediocre. They take forever to greet you, forget to bring out appetizers and then deliver them after the meal is over, bring the wrong items, have no idea what drinks were ordered, let food sit in the window entirely too long, etc. Now all of that I can say are maybe just growing pains and that maybe they will work those things out with experience and time........ but this final visit was the reason we won't return. There were 3 couples, 1 extra adult and 2 little girls(5,6) in our party, so 9 people. We had 2 kids meals and a handful of appetizers. We went up to watch the game and have a few drinks. We all shared 2 pitchers of beer, 2 rounds of shots, and we each had a couple of drinks over the course of about 4 hours. The couple with the kids left earlier and the wife did't drink except a glass of wine and the rest of us utilized Ubers. The server came over to us and asked what we all had at check out because she wasn't paying attention to that part, she'd admitted. We were all very honest and told her how to split the appetizers and listed what drinks we'd had. We got our bills, which seemed a little high but we shrugged it off as some things just not have been on special like she'd said they were, tipped generously since we sat at the table for a few hours, and left. When we got home we all looked more closely at our bills after one couple text and said they were charged for 21 drinks and that a service charge of $20 was snuck onto their tab. Sure enough we all looked at our receipts and they were all inclusive of an extra service charge( which was not clearly indicated anywhere on the menus, on the receipts, or communicated verbally). All in all our server, Ashley R, charged us for 60+ drinks and added a $20+ service charge to each tab! I welcome a service charge because if you want to box yourself into 15% when I normally give 20-25%, so be it, but I expect that it be highlighted and communicated upfront, not snuck on to an overinflated tab in hopes that the customer doesn't notice in a blatant attempt to double dip on a tip! This Ashley R has definitely cost this establishment the patronage of 7 good paying, good tipping, frequent diners! The 1488 corridor is rapidly expanding and there are many new choices and with Tailgators, Tapped and Citizens Grill right down the road, offering superior food and service, we won't ever return to The Draft. 1-2-3 strikes and you're out! I went to the draft last Monday and I had the worst service at the bar area! I had to keep flagging down my bartender any time I wanted a beer or order something to eat, I had to ask a waitress for a menu. I will not return to this place! read more

Nice size outdoor smoking patio a huge plus along with a nice selection of draft beer. As a wing nut their Buffalo wings are actually pretty good and without any weird spices, but their boiled shrimp is NOT repeatable. They are served in a spicy thin liquid that ruins the flavor. Getting some cocktail sauce was an ordeal and no horseradish available. Very roomy inside with large TV screens that were kept on a nice low volume! read more

Great burger. Really nice place for a sports bar. Bright and cheery. They seem to run out of meatloaf for the meatloaf sandwich which is exceptional - maybe that's why they run out sometime. Went for a Texans game and it was really loud. Great place. I go often. read more

Update: best bar in the area. They always keep it clean. Spacious setting, good draft selection and good food. Food quality had a rough patch a couple moths ago, but they've successfully rebounded. Korean bbq ribs are once again a go to. Still wish they'd get the Bayou Teche Miel Sauvage back in, but there's always many beers worth drinking. Most of the staff is friendly and knows their stuff. Bobby and Dustin are stand outs. Don't fall for the overall lower rating. Definitely worth frequenting. read more

Tried the crawfish today and they were excellent. The spice was just right. I know it's early in the season so they were a little on the small end but had some decent ones mixed in. Comes with 1 corn and 2 potatoes. Definitely worth a try and will be back for more! read more

Well I would like to given a review on the food but we just wait an hour without an appetizer. And we ordered popcorn. How long does it take to make popcorn? Friendly staff but if you want food you will have to wait we ended up getting up and leaving after an hour and 10 minutes. read more

Very nice on the inside - unfortunately the food was underwhelming. Our food came cold( hamburger & fries & chicken nachos). Service was pretty good but would not return due to quality of food and the fact that it was served cold. It wasnt that busy so not sure why that occurred. Also I asked our waitress if she could change one of TV's to a college game we wanted to watch. She wanted to know if it would be acceptable to turn the TV that was against the wall next to our table and up so high we would have had to break our necks to watch it. We visited a few weeks after this place opened in May.... Not 100% ready to return too quickly. Then tonight we decided to try again, after allowing a few months to get the kinks worked out. Well, not impressed again... waited 10 minutes for water, then almost 50 more minutes for our food. Not acceptable when out of the 12 six top tables only 6 where occupied and few four and two tops were occupied - not what a Saturday night would look like at a bar & grill with a College football game playing... We had to watch the servers stand around at the pass through window looking at the three cooks try to get the orders out. Never refilled our drinks (water and sweet tea - that had a few ice cubes... warm) , except the Blue Moon. Then we watched our chicken strips walk around the tables until the runner was told what table they belonged at... then waited for the rest of the food... only to have one order not prepared as in the menu - only to find out they changed it but did not reflect the change on the menu... we had to wait for silverware and condiments... Now the meatloaf sandwich was delicious, but the gyro was cold and did not go over well... the Bahn Rai (?) was mediocre... so hot and miss ... Overall, we do not recommend and will not be returning any time soon... if at all... sorry Draft, high expectations and great opportunity but falling short... I would rather wait in an hour line at Tailgators. read more

Good food. Clean restaurant and family friendly. The Gyro and onion rings were very good. Happy hour all day on Sunday. We will be back.

Awesome selection of beer- over 50! Really nice! Upscale and fun. Plenty of TV's and games! Not smoke infested like others!

The food was absolutely horrid. I got a chicken flatbread pizza that has no flavor and the chicken was so dried out I couldn't chew it. I ate one little square and then my husband tried it and just shook his head. The waitress asked if it was ok and I told her it was not. No attempt was made to rectify it, no offer of something else, then the manager came and looked at my uneaten food and asked if I wanted a box, I said no and again no care or question on if there was an issue. At the least I would expect it removed from my bill. My drink and water sat empty while literally SIX employees stood directly in front of us on the other side of the bar chatting. As they just opened I can understand issues with kitchen but the service and customer service with issue is unacceptable. They have 3 strong competitors within 2 miles and need to address these issues if they are going to make it. read more

I came to this location for the first time yesterday around 8pm. Jessica was our server. Before arriving, we were extremely excited about trying this new bar and restaurant! We were seated immediately as soon as we walked in. Jessica asked to take our drink order as soon as we sat down. We asked for several minutes to review the menu and to come back in a minute to take our drink order. She did come back shortly after to take our drink order. We received our drinks about 5 minutes later, great! After receiving our drink order, we did not see our waiter for at least another 15 minutes. We had to flag her down waiving our hands around since calling her name did not get her attention. We were very unimpressed because she failed to bring us napkins, utensils and any condiments. She had an attitude every time we asked for something as if we were bothering her, which was very disappointing. We heard the kitchen calling Jessica's name as one of her tables food was ready to be taken to the customer. We patiently waited and received our food shortly after. Food was so delicious!!! The club sandwich is amazing! Onion rings are so flavorful and delish! We truly enjoyed the food but the service was unacceptable and needs to be refined. I believe that if I have to go to the bartender to recieve napkins, any condiments and utensils is kind of ridiculous. I do hope this restaurant/bar succeeds as the food is delicious! I know that we will be returning to Tapped because their customer service is amazing. Any waiter or server that we've ever had there has been impeccable. We truly hope they explain to the servers that customer service is key to succeeding in that industry. read more

My friend was getting married and wanted a decent smoke free bar for an after party. We had lunch 2 weeks prior to check the place out and we were very pleased with the service and our conversation with a "seasoned" server that changed her schedule to work the night of our event. Upon arrival our reserved area was not in fact reserved and we had to wait while other customers were moved. A fact I'm sure they were displeased with. The service was really pretty good considering we were a party of 40+. That being said, when the servers felt hey weren't tipped fairly, they literally cut a member of our group's hat to pieces based on his tip. They also complained loudly about our group. NO ONE was offensive, rude or demanding. They had several tabs totaling $300+ and were tipped accordingly, not to mention being thanked profusely for their hard work. We chose The Draft after being completely screwed over by Tailgators. Sadly, The Draft is now on the same "no go" list as Tailgators. Had reasonable expectations and were very disappointed. read more

I had the greatest experience the multiple times I have been to this establishment. We had a very nice waitress named Maddie who was very good at bringing us our drinks and food in a good time frame. She knew exactly what came on the menu items we asked for and even asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, which is a first for me in this area. I highly recommend the Double Porky Burger with onion rings! Super greasy and super delicious. The 50 beers on tap is amazing compared to other places in this area! Thank you Draft on 1488 for an amazing experience and thank you Maddie for being an awesome waitress. I also really like the idea of the names on coasters, easy to hold onto so I remember who to ask for when I come back! read more
