I can't say enough about how good this place is. Kassie is very personable, fun to talk to and more importantly gives a great cut. This is my second time coming this month, since my hair grows really fast. My hair is a little crazy. I've got kind of an afro but I also have some hair that's kinda straight if it doesn't get cut early. ( I'm Black and Asian) I came in for a mid height Bald Fade, lined up in the front. Tina gives the best haircut I've ever received. She really knows what she's doing and my girlfriend endlessly compliments my haircut every time I go. She also recommended a new style that worked really well for my hair. Moral of the story: this is the best place to go in the South Bay for a haircut. I have been meaning to give a review for Kassie for a long time. Because of my ADHD, I never got to it. But after moving away from Redondo Beach I've realized that there's no barber who's half as decent as her. So here I am. I can't think of a more apt name for her shop, cause she is driven as hell. A perfectionist. Great memory, fantastic host, splendid company. Her shop is more of an experience. You get snacks, cold drinks, and entertainment, however, all of that wouldn't matter if she wasn't such a gifted barber. Whenever I visit it's like meeting an old pal, we always pick up where we lift off and chat, I don't know how time flies but I come out looking like a fly Indian man, with an extra strut to my step and a shining beard. Kassie really made me feel comfortable about this part with excellent communication on length, weight and texture on the style. I had an appointment with Vianka and she did an amazing job. I didn't know what to expect because my hair was a mess and I hadn't had it done professionally in YEARS! But she knocked it out the park, she was able to lift a miracle with my hair and saved my length, wasn't pushy at all for anything I didn't want and understood everything I did want. I hadn't found a hair stylist that I could commit to and I'm happy to say I've found her. I live about 2 hours away but I am definitely making the commute to go back. There was once a point in my life where I was lost. Bouncing around from one place to another, without any regard to quality or personal pride in my appearance. "I'll go wherever, I just need a haircut", I thought. I used to think a good haircut was not getting the Van Gogh special or an accidental stabbing of my carotid artery by a barber with muscle spasms. Things were like that for some time. I would feel this void within me grow. This hollowness that should be filled with a good haircut, wasn't. It lingers and overwhelms. I felt like the little sad blob from the anti-depressant commercials on TV. I was not at all in a good place. However, that all changed on one fateful day where I came across Tina and her Barber talents. I requested my usual cut I get anywhere and she got right to it. Whoa. Immediately, I felt a difference. She was very intricate and meticulous, like a brain surgeon only dealing with a different part of the head. By the time she finished, I felt like a completely different person. I stared into the mirror and could not recognize the person in the reflection. This wasn't a hollow person staring back at me. It was a rejuvenated one. I felt like a million bucks (now, if only I had a million bucks...). This was almost two years ago and I have been going to her ever since.
