Tired after a long day's night of shrieking at Nightmare New England, we knew the piddly "continental breakfast" at the hotel would not do. Sandy-eyed, famished and thirsty we stumbled into the DW Diner. Got a giant booth that comfortably seated us all. Immediately had hot strong coffee and pot of tea for myself. Every meal ordered was spot on, even my weird little made up omelet. The home fries....let me tell you something. I know home fries. I have sampled home fries the world over. No one comes close to these fries, There should be sonnets written about these taters. They should have tween girls and pre-menopausal women screaming their name and waving hand-lettered signs. They should be guests on the Tonight Show. Full, rejuvenated, we started the six hour drive back. Every now and then someone would sigh longingly and we'd look over in sympathy. The home fries, we knew, would have to wait another year for Nightmare New England. And we count the days. read more

Thursday afternoon I was having breakfast which was cold and didn't taste fresh. While having breakfast we saw a girl come in and she had ask for the owner said she was here for an interview. Few of waitresses had said you Need to fill out an Application. Girl replied I am here for interview and I don't want to until I talk with the owner. Few waitresses and the woman who said she the mgr was Very Rude to this girl. We were so happy to see this girl walk out good for her we will Never be back to your restaurant after what we over heard your staff and the manager had said to this girl and + Your Food Sucks!!! Wonderful diner breakfasts and lunches, great portions and reasonable prices. The menu has the usual staples as well as some unique omelets and pancakes, and also a "lighter" menu. Friendly service and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. I come here around once a month and am never disappointed. Yesterday my husband, sister-in-law and myself came in with my daughter. It was crowded and there was a short wait for a table, but the staff was still consistently friendly and polite. As usual, service was speedy and friendly, and yet we never felt rushed in spite of the line out the door! It happened to be my daughter's 11th birthday, and when we told the owner it was her birthday, he went out of his way to make sure she had a wonderful breakfast. Our sweet waitress did the same. I enjoy coming to the DW Diner occasionally. The 6am-2pm hours limits how often I can visit. I usually have to visit early Weekday mornings. The food is very good, I've tried a large variety of meals and can't think of one thing that I haven't enjoyed. There are always a lot of regulars and the long-time staff knows what they are doing. Portions are generous and you can get some big meals, and there's a lot of variety. If I ever get to visit during their lunch hours, I hope to be able to try some of their lunch dishes. If I could give them no stars I would, I came here with two other people and we were seated within 5 minutes I was impressed because it was busy. But when we sat it took a while to get our drinks and when we ordered it took 40 minutes before food arrived. Then when I got my food it was luke warm. I ordered The California eggs Benedict and the sauce was curtled and tasted awful. I had to send it back and they offered me other food but after that I was all set. One of the others had a fruit cup and it was mushy old fruit. The food was terrible and so was the second, I will never go back. This is my favorite breakfast place. They also do lunch which is yummy also. I enjoy my Eggs Benedict pancakes, and Man Mimosas, the food is awesome! The staff even better . They work there butts off and are always happy. read more

First thing don't go here on the weekend looking for lunch. They don't serve it. Had to deal with a rude hostess. Pretty sure the waitress forgot to put in our order right away. We got there before noon and didn't get served until 1250, for breakfast really an hour to fix breakfast. Would not recommend to anyone. Ps We had to level our table with sugar packets. read more

I was at the DW Diner in Merrimack April 12th for breakfast Felicia was my waitress and she gave us excellent service. She's always courteous and makes sure we have everything we need. I'm a little picky with my bacon (I like it to snap) and she always make sure it's perfect she's my favorite waitress. read more

Love the diner and have been coming here for years, but was extremely disappointed to find that my biscuits and gravy didn't even remotely taste good. The gravy had some kind of lemon flavor to it and the biscuits were just a sheet of baked biscuit mix instead of individual. I like it here. I take my family out to breakfast here and we usually end up satisfied. I have tried the vegetarian omelette and enjoyed it, and also enjoy the Californian. The kids usually try a mix of things from the scrambled eggs with bacon and toast, to French toast, or pancakes, and even the egg and cheese sandwich. The only downfall is the tvs everywhere. There is also music playing. I'm looking to connect with my kids over breakfast, not have them looking at the tvs and it's very tempting for them as each tv is playing something different and one always has cartoons. So, we will be trying to find a different breakfast place that we can enjoy together without the screen time. The food is good, not the best in the world but still worth it. The staff are friendly though usually somewhat detached as they're always so busy! So we understand that. They do seem to take good care of their regulars. We decided to try the DW dinner after many of my wife's co-workers recommended it. Worst decision we've made in a long time. How anyone can screw up scrambled eggs and hash browns is beyond me. Cheese made with oil, over cooked eggs that I suspect where egg beaters and not actual fresh eggs, Hash browns that where seasoned with some strange tasting concoction of spices. If you don't know how to season things correctly, just use light salt and pepper or don't season at all. The service was sub par, waitress didn't bother to check on us or ask how the food was, never bothered to ask about refilling drinks, and we had to track her down in order to get our bill on a Tuesday morning when there where two other waitresses working and only ten other people in the entire place. The prices where high compared to other places serving breakfast in the area that we've frequented. I highly doubt we will go back and we definitely won't be recommending the DW dinner to friends and family. read more

The food was good but our waitress wore her mask on her chin, never covering her mouth or nose. There was another waiter bring food in and out of the building without a mask at all, and not one of the cooks had masks but I could hear them all yelling to each other which is one of the ways they say Covid spreads. Been going to the diner for a few years now! One of our local favorites! Services is always fast and pleasant. The food is delicious! When you think a of hardy home cooked breakfast, they nail it! Anytime there's been anything wrong with my order (which has been rare!) they fix it immediately without any fuss. On top of that they always give back to the community! read more

Despite there being only two or three other couples in the place, we had to wait quite a while for our meals and even then they were incorrect at first due to waitstaff error. What a great local breakfast place! My husband and I went here for Sunday breakfast, and although we got there into the peak breakfast time, the wait wasn't horrific and we hit it at the right hour. The first thing my husband noticed was how clean the grill top was. This definitely wasn't going to be a greasy spoon experience, and we were really glad about that. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure to warm up our coffee and check in with us during our meal. He had a Western Omelette, and I had French Toast, and both were really good. His omelette was cooked well, and the veggies were grilled on the grill top before being used for the omelette which was a nice touch. My French Toast had a great flavor and was quite filling. I think that the review by Steven A was a bit unrealistic. He first states that he hasn't been there since last year, then expects a personal relationship from the waitresses and thinks that they should know what he wants?? I frequent this diner EVERY Saturday and Sunday morning and everyone there does know me, my name and what I order. A solid basic diner. Food is decent but pretty unorganized. Enjoy the food but do not be in a hurry.

I walked in to have breakfast and my other party wasn't arriving for another 15 minutes. I wanted to sit and enjoy a coffee and one server said to the girl seating me that I had to wait for the rest of my party. The place was virtually empty. Rude costumer service in my opinion. This place came through for a New Year's Day post hangover breakfast. Bonus points for the waitress offering Mimosas and the fact that they actually had a choice between a hash browns and home fries. Very clean and spacious. I do enjoy this place for a quick bite for breakfast, especially because it's so convenient to my house. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare on a busy Saturday and Sunday. They have a good selection of breakfast foods and sandwiches, although I have never had their lunch food. Hollandaise and corn beef are both homemade. Hollandaise is a bit on the thin side, though. This is a great little spot to stop by and they have breakfast all day. I do wish they were open a little bit later but it being a breakfast place, I'm not complaining too much. read more

Not a bad spot. I was tired of the shiny dinner and it is a little ways out from us. So my husband and I tried this place. Inside it was a lot bigger than I thought. We came around the back side I guess and the waitress told us to go to the front to the hostess. It wasn't too busy inside, but there was a good crowd there. I loved the fact that they offer hash browns, I dislike homefries and love this option they were also very tasty, a crispy on the outside and yum on the inside. The bacon was a tad chewy and tasted a little like it was made earlier, but other than that the breakfast was good.
