We're perfectly fine with the bar area, but scoring an actual dinner table felt like winning the restaurant lottery. Stopped in while running errands. Never been here before but the reviews looked good and I wanted a good steak. The prime rib did not disappoint! Perfectly cooked and tender and delicious. Had mashed and broccoli but couldn't finish them after the prime. All were good. The one to visit for us the Prime! Next time will be filet. The service at the bar was awesome. The ladies were friendly and quick to bring me drinks. Johnny was very attentive in making sure I had everything I needed. Such a beautiful building. was there on mothers day 6 of us and food was not up to par. I had the 12oz tenderloin medium and the steak was tough to cut and chewy. the steak was cooked perfectly. my wife had one of the specials and the meat was very dry. this was very unusual as all previous times we have eaten there everything was perfect. we will go back hoping this was an anomaly and not something else. read more

Went here for my college graduation dinner a while back, and it was amazing! We started with oysters to share which were super fresh and refreshing. I got the BEST french onion soup I believe i've ever had, as well as the twin pepper crusted petite filets served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The filets had such a great flavor with the crispy crust on the outside and were cooked exactly how I asked them to be. Each of my family members were extremely happy with their food as well. The inside is so clean and almost gives cozy vibes while looking very sophisticated at the same time. First time eating here, met up with some friends. Their parking lot can be a bit challenging during peak times, so plan ahead (arrive a bit early). The building was an amalgamation, as different parts were clearly added to the main building. While it made the flow a bit choppy, I don't particularly care about that sorta thing. I arrived a few minutes before our reservation and was seated promptly, which was nice. They had a nice drink menu. I believe we all ordered the ribeye steak, with different sides/sauces. Everyone enjoyed their steak, they were quality cuts. I was surprised there wasn't more marbling, but that's personal preference. One friend had the clam chowder starter and recommended it. Maître d' went out of his way on 11/29/25 to make my parents feel bad (on their 39th anniversary) for telling the waitress that they were served cold steaks (purple in the middle, genuinely dangerous to eat) after ordering "medium" and "well-done" and reiterating numerous times during their order. After ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY MINUTES we were served ice cold steaks (priced around ~$300 total), and the maître d' felt the correct answer to the scenario was to not only charge us for each dish but yell at my parents in front of other patrons for "complaining about the food." Maybe your attendees wouldn't have to complain about the food and service if it didn't suck! The new/junior maître d' running service on November 29th was the most unprofessional, unbecoming person I've ever had the displeasure of paying money. Absolutely lost a number of long time dedicated M.T./Buckley's goers with this one. New management and service have gone downhill SO much! It's appalling how far this place has fallen. Disappointing because their food and service used to be great! Now they're both subpar. Save yourself the trouble and hit up some of the other local steakhouses that won't do this to you! read more

We decided to try this restaurant yesterday, as we heard it was great. They did not disappoint! First of all, our server Nina was absolutely delightful!! She was friendly, helpful, and fun! The atmosphere is very relaxing and we loved the music playing. I had the lemon dill shrimp scampi, my husband had the surf and turf and we had calamari...All of these were amazingly delicious! We had the white/raspberry tall cake and that too was delicious! Oh and when I told Nina, it was my husband's birthday in a couple of days, she made it a point to put a candle on our tall cake and a happy birthday candy. That's what I call exceptional service!! My wife, daughter, and I went to Buckley's in Merrimack for dinner last night. It was our first visit. All of us agreed it was the best dinner out we've ever had. The food isn't cheap. But the truth is my wife and me didn't care. I personally feel that I got my money's worth and then some. Yes - the food was that good! Superb actually! We had fried calamari for starters, and their free bread with oil was incredible! I ordered a marbled Prime Rib, my daughter had a lightly marbled Rib Eye, and my wife had the Salmon... OML! Had a great night at Buckleys in Merrimack. My wife and I went there for dinner. It was busy and welcoming. The staff was great. I wish I could remember our servers name but she was awesome. My wife and I started with oysters and bang bang steak tips appetizer. Both were delicious and perfect starters for us. We also shared a bottle of red wine. For dinner I got the 8oz Filet and my wife got the Pan Seared Salmon. Our dinners were both excellent. After dinner I had a Buffalo Trace old fashioned and my wife had an espresso martini to go with dessert which we went with the Crème Brûlée. Crème Burlee was great, old fashioned was ok a little too sweet but not bad, and the espresso martini wasn't great. All my wife could taste was the kahlua and baileys in it. Also, it was pricey, I think it was over $250 for the two of us. Final rating, food was excellent, staff was excellent, drinks were ok, price was expensive but steak was perfectly cooked. Steak burger! Yes! Stopped here for dinner with my bf on the way back from a long weekend in New Hampshire. We arrived as soon as it opened so we weren't really hungry to order steaks. We decided on trying their burgers and they did not disappoint! I got their steak burger medium rare and my bf got their gorgonzola burger. The burger was delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly and it was nice and juicy and packed with flavor. I really like french fries and their french fries were spot on! We quickly devoured our burgers and didn't really feel stuffed which was good. The buns were nice and soft and held the giant burger well. I was surprised that my burger didn't fall apart. Food - Prime Rib was adequate in size but uneventful. My steak tips were over done and smothered in a salty brown sauce. The so-called salad on the side didn't pair with the dish. Plenty of fries. Drinks - Both of our drinks were thoroughly enjoyed. Service - Rachel greeted us with a big smile and continued to give a great service. Thank you Rachel! Ambiance - We knew it was a rustic setting. Inside was mixture of modern and thrown together decor. The curtains next to my table had food stains on the bottom and did not appear clean. Everyone has different standards with most settling for what they get. With that said, complaining then would have been embarrasing. Went with another couple around the holidays thinking they would have it decorated for the holidays a little more. This time was not one of the better experiences at Buckleys. The waitress was very good and attentive in the beginning, until she got busier. Never came over to ask how our meals were. The food for three out of four of ours were cold and not cooked correctly. My filet was raw and was ordered medium, the vegetables were very mushy. Another her fish over cooked and dried out. The attentions to detail were lacking. Our friend didn't eat half her meal and did not want to take it home. I took mine home to cook my steak better. Waitstaff should observe food not eaten and not wanting to take it home. Tonight we went to Buckley's Great Steaks for my husbands birthday. Our first impression of Buckley's was a bit disappointing as we found the hostess to be a little rude when we told her we did not have a reservation. She acted as if we weren't worth her time. Once we were sat things took a positive turn and we found our waitress Samantha to be quite welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. We chose to start with the Crispy Calamari, Mezza Platter, and French Onion Soup. While everything was delicious my husband was pretty disappointed with the calamari. We found the calamari had more peppers than calamari and no tentacles. Next was our main meal; my mother had the 12oz prime rib with a loaded baked potato and asparagus with hollandaise sauce, my husband had the cowboy steak with mashed potatoes and carrots, and I had the ribeye with Parmesan brussel sprouts and Parmesan Truffle fries. Everything was absolutely amazing. To finish our meal my husband had chocolate cookie dough ice cream, my mother had the blueberry crisp, and I had the strawberry champagne tall cake. Once again everything was delectable! The only downside to our evening was the hostess and calamari disappointment. We also found where we were seated was not in an ideal location as the bar area was above where we were seated. Due to this there were constantly people waiting for tables hanging out directly above our table. Over all the meal was excellent and the service was pretty good. The atmosphere at Buckleys is nice. The bar area could use a little more elbow room. People are squished in.. not exactly comfortable. The wait staff did a great job. When We go to a restaurant that literally has great steaks in the name, I expect nothing less. Guess what, It was disappointing! When I go to a fine dining restaurant I want them to cook better than I do at home. This was not the case! I had the 12pz filet... 49.00. Very pricey disappointment, the steak had no flavor. It was cooked correctly but very lack luster taste. My husband had the ribeye, it too lacked any flavor. We had the mashed potatoes and green beans which were the house sides for the night. The potatoes were okay.... Nothing special bordering on pastey. The green beans were almost as good as what I make at home, but still just okay. Sadly, we have had better steaks at the longhorn ! The food was great, we had oysters, split a large Cesar salad , my husband had the cowboy and i had the surf and turf ( lobster ), ended up too full for dessert ( maybe next time ) and overall a very nice meal. We couldn't book online , but we called at about 2 pm for a reservation at 4 (we like to eat early ), and they had an opening for the same day.
