Went here last night. Let me be clear that this low rating has nothing to do with the…read moreentertainment. They were great. Now on to the service and food, let me present a timeline. 7:30 we arrive 7:55 we finally get our drink order and we place our order for appetizers and entrees at the time because I can see the writing on the wall: the service is slow (the drinks were quite good) 8:30 waiter comes back to tell us that the printer had a malfunction and they have food ready but need to match tickets to tables. He asks us to repeat our order. 8:35 we get our appetizer, artichoke spinach dip. This was the best part of the meal. 8:45 the waiter comes to say they are out of short rib (my entree) and I can choose something else. Mind boggling because we've been there over an hour now. I order the pork chop. The waiter assures us he will comp the appetizer. 9:08 our meal comes (prime rib for my husband and the pork for me). My husband asks for a glass of red wine. Waiter once again tells us the appetizer will be comped. My husband's prime rib was supposed to be medium rare. I've never seen a prime rib as well-done as the one that arrived. It was like taking a bite of the Sahara Desert. It was so horrible he barely ate half of it, and he isn't someone that has an issue finishing a dish. It was also completely flavorless. My pork was cooked to the perfect temperature but there was not a speck of salt to be found (nor any other seasoning). I was eating a juicy, tasteless piece of meat. The mushroom sauce on top was extremely bland. 9:20 we realize the wine for my husband is never coming and we just want to get the heck out of there and ask for the check. We get the check and imagine our surprise...the artichoke dip is still on the check AND the wine we never received. We just payed the dumb check and left because now it had been 2 hours and we were SO done. $170 for the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. TLDR; don't go here. The service is slow and the food is subpar.

All the classics -- Donkey Kong, Ms Pac Man, Centipede, Defender. And did I say free?! This is a beautifully restored building that must have served the railroad in some capacity. And they've turned it into a warehouse of games and drinks. Small pin bowling, rings, cornhole, pinball. What a great concept. Would love to see something like this in LA.

It would be nice if they served food, but you can order food from Goodfellas pizza across the street and they'll deliver it to Pins. There are tons of free arcade games, and then paid games like pinball and lawn games. The drinks are good, we got this large drink tower for $20 (it didn't have much alcohol but was still fun!) They semi-validated parking in the Whole Foods lot, it's a bit of a walk downhill to get to Pins from there

My husband and I purchased movie tickets through Fandango to see the new Toy Story here. I saw on their website that they validate parking for up to four hours in the Nashville East garage, and thank goodness that they do! I couldn't imagine spending any more money on parking after purchasing two movie tickets for nearly $60 (including fees). However, you get what you pay for, as their movie theaters are beautiful and brand new, with fun loveseat-like couch seats and full service dining. Concession prices were pretty standard, and I love that the popcorn is bottomless, so you can get a refill halfway through the movie if you want! I do wish that you could just place the order through the QR code rather than just requesting a server ... it seems like it would flow more smoothly for everyone if that were the case. We also got an Oreo shake with our popcorn, which was utterly delicious! Note that there is no regular concession stand - you must order popcorn and snacks (or a full meal) through a theater server. Regular rules do kind of go out the window with these full service dining theaters. The woman a few seats down from us was shining her flashlight at her menu for the first 15 minutes of the movie, and it was so annoying! She did it periodically throughout the movie as well. I'm not sure what Hooky could do to curtail this, as I'm sure they want people to order food throughout the movie, so I'll just say moviewatcher beware! The couch seats were comfortable, albeit a little awkward. I really wish they reclined! The audio and visuals were great - we opted for the SDX theater, and it did not disappoint. We didn't get a chance to check out any of the other games on-site, or the full bar available, but we did note their awesome happy hour deals. I am sure we'll be back soon!

Was really looking forward to finally having a clean comfortable upscale movie theater in Nashville…read moreand was pretty disappointed. The only real positive was that it's new and they're keeping it clean. So at least a step up from the sticky floors of every other movie house we've visited in the Nashville area. They were having problems with the HVAC and the entire center was uncomfortably hot. The seating is mostly love seats, large enough for two. But the seats don't recline and they've chosen to use cloth instead of leather. The seats are already not particularly comfortable, and it feels like they'll get old and worn out pretty quickly. Wonder why they went with the cheaper approach. They do offer food and drink service to the movie seats. You scan a QR code that goes through a "check out" process that's actually just requesting a wait person visit and take your order. Pretty unusual and underwhelming for an established chain. The "table" attached to each seat is very small, just enough to hold a drink and a small plate. The menu, which is the same menu provided in the bar, is typical bar food and not designed for eating in a dark theater. There are very few items other than the drinks that you'd be tempted to try in the dark. The front door of Hooky is out to a two lane major downtown street with no access for ride shares to pull over and drop you off or pick you up. Huge oversight, they must imagine all their customers are walk ups or parking in nearby garages. We're a bit spoiled by previously living in areas with iPic theaters, and were hoping Hooky might provide an iPic like experience. It's a small step in that direction, but clearly with a lower budget and a less experienced design team. I expect we may give them one more try, after the place has a chance to burn in and get their rhythm, particularly if there's a combination of a good movie and a reservation at an adjacent restaurant like Ocean Prime. But our expectations are going to be fairly low.
