We visited off the recommendation from a local. The band on the main level was good but it was a beautiful day so we decided to check out the rooftop. A lot of stairs to get up there but it was worth the climb. The band was fantastic and we really enjoyed their music. We wanted to sit outside but they only had one of the garage doors open and it was hard to hear the band with music coming from so many other rooftops. Eventually we moved inside to listen to the band. A wonderful afternoon - although the bartender was not friendly which was really surprising considering all the other ones have been great. No crowds so she definitely wasn't overworked. She was probably just having a bad day but no need to scold my friend because she didn't ask for a drink "the proper way!" My friend wanted a vodka grapefruit but wanted to make sure that she didn't use grapefruit vodka and the bartender was very rude.

Another cool honky tonk on the Broadway! We popped in and listened to a few songs, the band was good and full of energy! We had a beer and enjoyed the tunes in this dark and atmospheric bar. We went to the bar for drinks so we pretty much served ourselves. Don't miss coming by and checking out the music. I love checking out all the spots on the strip!

The Stage on Broadway is dog friendly (yes inside), which is what brought my husband, our little girl dog and I here this past Tuesday evening. Looking for some live local talent, we were told by the bouncer that The Stage allows dogs inside. We walked in (got our ID's checked and hand stamped) and walked towards the back and sat down at a small table. There was no cover charge and the place was packed. But we found out that there was some kind of Teacher/ School conference in town and believe that the strong majority of people there were part of that conference. My husband ended up getting Montucky, Lager, $7. I didn't have any but my husband thought it was okay. He had said that it reminded him of a Budweiser to be honest. The bartender who helped us, complimented our little girl and said how calm and relaxed she was while my husband held her, as he ordered his beer. She told us that she couldn't bring her dog here, because her dog would go crazy, lol (if you are thinking about bringing your dog, I would only recommend a really relaxed dog since the music can be rather really loud). Water is self serve with a water dispenser and plastic cups made available by the bar. I enjoyed the band that was playing while we visited for about 2 hours (although they did play cover bands and believe a lot of the bands/ singers here do that and don't play their own music. Although you can find talent folks that play their own music at The Blue Bird Cafe and Commodore Grille. Please note that The Blue Bird Cafe requires tickets you can purchase online in advance). I did not use the restroom during our visit so I cannot comment regarding the cleanliness. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back the next time we visit Nashville (even if this is a tourist area). Please note that there are other levels, including a roof top stage. But we stayed on the first level during our visit.

It's the Nashville experience in here!

We came for the final band of the night on a Friday- it was busy and energetic and we really like the tables in the balcony. The band was great, with an excellent fiddle player & a big repertoire. People tip $20- $100 to make requests so it is a wide range of country music, which is fun.

This is a great spot to have a beer, listen to some live country music, and enjoy the company of locals and friends! The service was excellent!!

One of the seemingly endless options for live music and libations on Broadway. My wife and I just wandered in, no real plans to come here, after tapping out from another joint. There was a really good band on the main stage downstairs, and we enjoyed the bluegrass twinged rock covers they were playing. After several songs, we checkout the smaller upstairs venue, where a different, non-bluegrass, band was belting out rock covers. Both bands were really enjoyable and quite good for a Monday night out on the town. Upstairs (lots of stairs) is nice because there is an outdoor patio as well, so you can get a nice view of the skyline while listening to the music. I was on an old fashion kick throughout the trip, and there were plenty of whiskeys to choose from and the cocktail was just fine.

SO MUCH FUN!!!! If you are traveling to Nashville, The Stage is a must!!! We had the best time here!! The music, the crowd, the locals, the energy, we could have stayed there all night! If you want to experience Nashville, you need to start with The Stage! This was exactly what we had in mind when looking for that Nashville night life experience. We grabbed drinks, watched the live music, some locals challenged us to shot gun beer LOL. It was seriously an amazing time! Bartenders are rockstars!

Stopped in for the very last few minutes in town before the airport in a Monday afternoon. The musicians were great! I caught the very end of one act and the start of the next. The bartenders were lovely. The drinks were reasonably strong for the price. Overall a great afternoon!

We came here for a quick drink before meeting up with some friends for dinner. Prices were better here than some other spots.

Great ambiance with live bands on each floor. Just be aware that they charge $12ish for quite mediocre, very basic mixed drinks.

Ask the Community - The Stage on Broadway

Do you allow dogs? A review in 2020 said yes, but yelp says no?

I've seen a dog on the top floor. So definitely upstairs they are allowed.

    What is the Age requirement?

    21 years old

    Good for line dancing?

    Hell yeah!

    Is there a cover charge?

No. We just walked in. Very cool in here nice place to relax have a drink

    Does this bar serve food?

Yes, but a super-minimal bar menu. Think chips and salsa and wings.

Can 18 and up get in? Planning on taking my sister to Nashville and she's only 19, looking for bars that allow her in to see bands and do some dancing! Thanks!

After 6:00PM its 21 and up at The Stage. Wildhorse and Tootsies allow minors until 8:00 I think. The Station Inn allows under 21 with a parent or guardian and they won't toss you out at a certain hour. Your hotel can help you with this, Have fun.

There was a great mix of newer and older country music as well as covers of some crossover country and rock.

This historic building itself feels like a shotgun (long and narrow) and apparently once served as a Civil War warehouse and later the Sho-Bud Steel Guitar Company. To prolong our stay, we ordered cheeseburgers and beer (fries and onion rings were extra) for brunch. I tried to interest folks in their $6 "Recession Special" - A grilled or fried bologna sandwich piled high, with a bag of potato chips, a Moon Pie, and a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) beer, but got no takers. We sat up on the balcony, which we had all to ourselves and with a nice view to the main floor below. Our waitresses were down home friendly, hard working, and good at what they were doing. We felt right at home and this was perhaps the most classic and authentic Nashville experience we had here. The band even wished my Happy Birthday. :)

Nashville is a music town, throw a rock and you'll find a great spot at a bar playing music. Some of the bars have a stage where bands are jammin'! I'm looking for something different, something more contemporary, live jazz and a speakeasy feel. Skull's Rainbow Room delivered. Walking up to Printer's Alley, it's already giving off speakeasy vibes. I did my classic move, Get to the restaurant early and tell the waitress I'm so hungry and promise I won't be here all night. Man... I was set up with a great table and was told I have less than two hours. (I mean, I am Bill S from New York, I can be quite persuasive) My waiter comes over, we start talking about the east coast, how he misses New Jersey but loves his new home in Nashville. I order a martini and thick Prime Rib cut along with a side of truffle mashed potatoes. My drink comes out quickly and now I am in the jazz zone. These guys rocked it! Great music along with strong cocktails, I laugh and say to myself: I'm getting paid to be here! My steak comes to the table very quickly. Man this steak cut is a thing of beauty. The au jus with a bite of the truffle mashed potato, heaven. Now the piano player start playing The Love Theme from The Godfather?? Am I in heaven or.. are they trying to seduce me to the other side as I order another cocktail? Just a fantastic night, from the music to the food and libations at Skull's Rainbow Room. My waiter says, it's been two hours, would you like your drink brought to the bar? I declined as I paid my check. Skull's Rainbow Room is a must stop when in Nashville.
