Amazing... Wait, I will say that one more time- amazing! I…read moreadopted the when in Rome mantra- I had a biscuit. An egg, cheese, and bacon one to be specific. The bacon was crisp, the cheese was melted, the scrambled egg was fluffy, and the biscuit was buttery and light. I am in love! I jumped right into the food and forgot to share there is parking in a lot on the premises. Very convenient. The staff kept our beverages filled and checked in on us several times. Their friendly nature was the cherry on the top of the positive experience. I will share that it isn't a tiny space but not large, either. We did have some spill over of noise from other tables and the dishes being stacked at the counter that made it hard to hear the conversation at my table. However, I am old and I am going to need you to get off my lawn. I will see you again, my biscuit friend. I never knew you existed so close to the airport.

The wait was long and came out staggered and slowly. We first received 1/2 of our appetizers of fried green tomatoes which could have been fried crisper and the deviled eggs which were tasty but dry first. After a long wait we received our Catfish nuggets were tasty but very greasy and needed to be fried crisper as well. And blueberry Biscuit bite which reminded us of New Orleans beignets. Then the entrees arrived Waffles and Chicken Wings were tasty and crispy but chicken needed seasoning . Catfish fillet and grits entree was a tiny (1/2) piece maybe of catfish fillet. Grits good and creamy. We were in the restaurant 2 whole hours. Too much time spent waiting for food.

*SENT THIS TO THE BUSINESS INBOX 8/31/25. NO RESPONSE SO I AM POSTING IT HERE*…read more I got to your establishment shortly after placing my name on the waitlist. I followed the on-screen instructions to check in with the host upon arrival. I walked in a packed, very hot restaurant (later learned that the A/C was broken) and explained to the hostess that I was on the waitlist and she was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming and kept telling us "we aren't taking reservations right now" - I reiterated I didn't have a reservation but an active waitlist spot through the yelp app. She rudely asked for my name I gave it to her even spelled it out for her after she acted like she didn't hear me. She didn't even check her computer for my name, she flapped her huge blue-colored eyelashes and just said "well we aren't taking reservations" ... so after that I'm upset and my boyfriend asked to stand at the bar at a seat behind her. She says "you can order a drink from right there" but little did she know that my boyfriend knows the owner personally who frequents his bar that he works at each week. So he was going to let him know about the hostess and her rude service, but instead I said forget it and we left. We ended up going to Noveau a block away and was seated immediately, it was a complete 180 as far as environment and service. We ate and left, I checked the waitlist I was still on and it said I was 4th place in line. I drove all the way from Brookhaven to be talked to like I did something wrong when all I did was join a waitlist on yelp and check in as instructed. As a Black business owner myself I took this encounter very personally, as everyone else in front of us was being helped but us. Your hostesses are supposed to be the face of your business and this one was not it. This put such a bad taste in my mouth that I told my boyfriend that I will never return here and to make sure to let the owner know about this experience when he sees him. This is probably not the only complaint that this restaurant has received about this individual, and because of her, Noveau down the block now has a new loyal customer now. I see why our own people find it hard to support other black-owned businesses because you have people like her representing your business and treating us like we owe them something for trying to come in and spend money in your establishment. Then I later learned that she's actually a "family member" representing this business acting like that. I understand that you were operating that day with no A/C and no plumbing (ew) but don't take it out on people who showed up to support your business...again and again. Sad and ridiculous. Signed, byyyeeee never again.

They have a upstairs eating area also. This place is simple but cute. It was lunchtime and service was top tier. I was greeted once walking in and immediately seated. I must do better with remember names...smh because my server deserves all the recognition, I can say he was a Caucasian, older gentleman. He was amazing!!! He was so nice, knew the menu, made recommendations, and kept a check on me. I found that all the staff helped each other, if water got low, another staffer filled it, plates got empty, someone different may take them away. Everyone was really nice. Now let's get into the drinks and food.... Mimosa(peach) perfectly mixed. The gumbo was recommended and it was good, it had nice size shrimp. The calamari was really good also. For my entree, I had the Shrimp cescer salad, it was delicious... even after finishing it up later that evening because I was so full. I could and would recommend checking them out for sure.

Overall impressions: 4.5…read more Ambiance: lovely entrance playing soft jazz, the decor was modern with a rustic home town vibe. There were about 15 tables that could accommodate 1-8 people. The dining room can get loud if all the tables. Full bar / wine serving Cajun style with a "Atlantean" flair. Service: 5 stars Rarely do I give a 5 star rating for a server but our server was exceptional. He was polite, friendly, helpful and was very attentive. He mentioned some recommendations and as a foodie himself, he made a couple recommendations. Food: 4-4.4 stars Shrimp Po-Boy: 4 Stars for the Po-Boy due to amount of shrimp, though they were larger than normal. The shrimp was seasoned and lightly breaded. However, the bread was wonderful. Light, airy, flaky and had the right amount of crunch to it. The creole sauce was good but the Po-Boy needed some additional hot sauce. The perfectly cooked fries were AWESOME! Highly recommend to get a side if your entree doesn't come with it. Lightly salted with hint of other seasoning and herbs and had the right amount of chew and crunch to them. Also, I believe the oil they use was a better quality than normal. Blacken Mahi-Mahi- 5 Stars The grilled blackened fish has the perfect on of Creole seasoning and was topped with a house-made Chimichurri Sauce and possibly honey. Served with seasonally roasted root vegetables. My wife loved it so much the plate was practically cleaned! LOL! Dessert Beignet - 3.75 Stars By our server's recommendation we ordered a serving of 3 beignets w Pecan Praline Caramel sauce. The beignets were hot and fresh and had a "snowy" amount of powdered sugar. It was covered with goodness. When we bit into them, they were light, airy and had a bit of a chew to them. My wife likes them more than Cafe Du Monde but I thought the dough had more chewiness to them. The Praline sauce was ok. Also, the sauce is extra $3.50. NOTE: Do not order a carton of water - Cost $5. Wasn't worth it. Get regular water. If we were staying another day, we would definitely come back. I highly recommend the place. Also, the have another located situated in downtown Atlanta. But I suggest to stop by at the OG place in College Park. Small time atmosphere with great food! Enjoy!

When it was time to order, he recommended food selections and helped make the dining experience feel relaxed and welcoming. That kind of service matters. When a server creates a comfortable environment, you don't feel rushed--you relax, enjoy the moment, and the whole experience becomes more than just going out for breakfast. Travis did exactly that. The food was incredible. The flavors stood out, and everything came out hot--not lukewarm like you often get at franchise chains. Between the food, the atmosphere, and Travis's service, I'm definitely going back. Food recommendations: the grapefruit, fried tomatoes, Ox, smoked wings and the French toast. Just add a bit more flavor (seasoning to the Ox) for us folks LOL!
