We have driven by so many times and decided today's the day. Everything was absolutely amazing, including the service. Definitely look forward to going back. The mussels, were amazing, Brussels were crispy, the mozz was probably my favorite. We can't wait to try some entrees next time!

The Edison Grill. An Edison namesake branded lunch and dinner spot in Harwington. From the logo to the rug to the signage, it commits to the theme. When you walk in, you are delighted with Red/Black decor and various "vintage" looking signage across the restaurant. The pickup window (maybe added during COVID) is cleverly placed in the waiting room/entrance, where you can also sit to wait for seating. This place gives you an experience visually. So how does the food stack up? Great, actually. I got the BBQ Brisket from the Handhelds section, and my wife ordered the wings from the Starters. Both were delicious. The BBQ brisket comes on a Ciabatta Roll with a pickle and a choice of side. I chose the SLAW! But what a slaw it was. The slaw that I got was oddly sweet, not at all what I was expecting, but ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant surprise indeed. I came, I slaw, I conquered. That's how it goes, right? We also ordered the POT-CHOS off the menu. Yes, kettle baked potato chips topped with Nacho ingredients. Jalapeños on the side for the Mrs. So what's the verdict? Good. Not great. Could have been more cheese. It had bagged lettuce sprinkled on it but would have preferred shredded for easier nacho pickup. And although it says it on the menu (I know), the beer cheese/nacho cheese didn't work for me personally. It gave me ballpark vibes. Yes, to each is own. The two hits and the one miss on the food would of still giving me almost 5 star vibes here as I dig the themed restaurants. I have to imagine that some of the other menu items that I almost chose were easy answers for a 2nd visit (if I'm in the area). I'm giving a slight knock to the rating instead because we were charged for a raspberry ice tea refill after confirming that it was free refills and bringing me the refill before realizing they were mistaken. We all make mistakes, and besides that the service was great. And I'm sure next time the visit will be great and the cool/unique Edison's Grill will sway me to a 5. I would recommend this to anyone on their way through Harwington. It's a great lunch spot and the rest of the menu looks great. I'm sure next time I'm in it will sway me over to a 5.

In Litchfield county, and in need of a good burger....props to Yelp Elite, Tricia B, for recommending the Edison Grill. Everything was top shelf, from the service, to the decor, the ambience, the vibe, the food, even the men's room (more on that later). Cordial Katie greeted and seated me, and brought menus. For food, I opted for a mushroom burger, 8 ozs of Angus pure delectable delight. Cooked to perfection, each charbroiled bite reaching a different note - crimini mushrooms, carmelized onions, "greens" and cheddar. And the hint of horseradish gave everything a really good pop. Fries were nice and crispy, just how I ordered. Now, back to the men's room. One of the coolest and cleanest in any restaurant / pub I've ever been in. Real (and healthy) plants, formidable flush, nicely tiled floors, art decor, etc, etc. Props to Katie (and to Tricia B). 5 star

The overall atmosphere was comfortable. The bbq brisket sandwich was delicious and we got it with their hand cut kettle chips. We added grilled chicken to the Edison Grill Salad and it was also very tasty. The service was very good, everyone was friendly and attentive. The decor is very interesting, lots of Thomas Edison era memorabilia. Definitely recommended!

Said I wouldn't be back to The Edison Grill again, but I had a GC from the Holidays, so we decided to use it this morning for breakfast. I ordered a sausage & Pepper Jack cheese omelet, and my wife went with a Special, the Banana Bread French Toast. Meals came out after a short wait. My omelet was good -- fluffy & filling. Home fries were red bliss potatoes -- a very nice change of pace from most standard breakfast potatoes. Wife's Banana Bread French Toast was excellent -- extremely tasty ! Coffee was also very good. Service was stellar -- Chrissy was very friendly & attentive. All in all, a much better experience to The Edison Grill than our previous visit a year ago. We'll definitely put them back in the rotation of usual places in the Torrington area.

Very hidden gem that's worth everything. The inside is so cool, clean and awesome decor! We decided to get the margarita flights, which at some places can be weak but these were strong and flavorful! Absolutely worth it to get the flight! I'm sure the mule flight is awesome too! The service was excellent and quick! The food was great portion and so delicious! This is a great place for a date, with great trails near by! We will be back!

First visit to the O Joe's North location - understanding I/we love the original. It exceeded every possible expectation. Food is terrific - has the same standard as Watertown, but our wings were cooked even better. Fresh, hot, crispy, juicy. Definitely the best Ordinary Joe's wings we've had (and we have a lot of them, often). The food options are clearly rooted in the original concept. However, there are some more/different options here. Everything looked and smelled fantastic. I look forward to investigating further. Our server, Vanessa, earned 25 stars on her own. She was attentive, personable, yet worked quickly and accurately - manning a full bar and dining room simultaneously - while making us feel like we were the only ones in the joint. Manager/(Owner?) Paul was terrific as well. Stepped in to ensure all tables had what they needed, were clean, and everyone happy. It was truly noticeable that customer service is a priority for the team. Building is new/redone/beautiful. Similar, iconic O Joe's feel and decorating - yes, the gridiron is painted on the ceiling. Just a great space. Great vibe. Eat-off-the-floor clean. Simply can't wait to go back. And, again, I am so lucky to have proximity to both locations. **Just one note for families who may go with children or teenage boys (like me)... The service is so great, no one at the table will have an empty glass for long... that's a really positive thing. But, fair warning, soft drink refills are NOT free (nor should they be, frankly). However, with an 18 and 16 yr old in my party...those Cokes accumulate quickly.

We were seated inside the dining room by the window looking out at the pond with the fountain. Mom was a bit disturbed by the loudness of the piped in music inside and the kind waitrees turned the volume down a bit at mom's request. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but it was Sunday, Aug 30th. 2026, 12 noon reservation.. Maybe management can look it up and give everyone who served us a compliment, at least. These servers were AMAZING. The service and the food were impeccable. I had been craving biscuits and gravy for a long time, and I was totally impressed with the food! The biscuits and gravy were a feast for my palate, and I've never had tater tots as crispy and delicious as these! My mom thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast ("The Kitchen Sink," lol: eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and choice of pancakes or French Toast [she got the French Toast]). My nephew got a salad with salmon and ate the whole thing, delighted. Our lovely server told us that the wonderful young men who delivered the food to our table carried it up from downstairs (I guess the kitchen is there)! Mom and I brought leftovers home for another meal. Based on the service, ambience, attention to my elderly mom's request to turn the music down a little, and the food, I will not hesitate to dine here again and bring my friends! Don't hesitate to dine at The Greenhouse Tavern in Burlington, CT! If the weekend servers and food are this good during the week, GO!

(Thanks to Bill S., Litchfield-based CT Yelp Elite, for bringing the restaurant to mind through his informative review.) The revitalization effort was initiated by a couple -- Jill Farrarotti and Jonathan Philips. Farrarotti's family owned the site since 1955 and Philips has professional food service experience. LOCATION: The restaurant is located at the edge of Stonybrook Golf -- a nine hole public golf course set on a picturesque rural road. CONCEPT: Clubhouse Provisions serves modern American and Asian-inspired dishes in a public clubhouse setting. ATMOSPHERE: The clubhouse is modern and bright, with wraparound glass windows overlooking the golf course, cathedral ceiling, and light-colored painted wood paneled walls. SERVICE: Service is informative and friendly. FOOD: The Crispy Thai Calamari ($20) is worth a visit in itself, and is available during brunch (Sunday), lunch, and dinner service. There is a mix of baby spinach, thinly breaded, crispy Calamari, and chunks of mango and grapefruit veiled by an Asian dressing. It shares top place for best iteration of fried calamari I've experienced (the other is Rhode Island style at a RI restaurant). Pork Belly Bites ($21) makes for a good small plate to share when looking to enjoy a drink and a bite on the porch or at the bar. The Avocado Toast ($25), a popular brunch item prior to 2025 season, has been modified and in my mind has an overemphasis on vinegar flavor, delivered through balsamic drizzle and mound of pickled onions. TIPS: The restaurant is only open seasonally due to its relationship with golf course. The absence of sound-absorbing ceiling material makes the dining experience uncomfortably noisy when the dining room is full. The space is available for hosting events.

Chef Jon is back, and his opening menu for Litchfield Restaurant Week is an excellent one, fully supported by the kitchen which is blending in some newcomers with its experienced staff. The early menu is limited but tasty: the fried chicken breast sandwich is back and as yummy as could be hoped. We enjoyed the salmon poke bowl (a little more acidity needed) and the splendid calamari. The deserts we sampled, cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake, were simply delicious. What a WONDERFUL little throw-back of a diner! The servers are absolutely charming (thank you to…read morethe beautiful, jewelry-making Christina), pricing is circa 1995, there's a great children's menu -- and there is clearly some skill in this kitchen, generally. I love that you get unlimited refills on coffee ($2), which was actually quite decent by diner standards. Where else can you find that nowadays?! Eggs were well prepared and fluffy across the board. I loved that my veggie omelet ($8.75) came generously filled with sauteed mushrooms, sweet peppers, and onions. It came with toast and a side of either fruit or home fries. The multigrain, which our server disclosed was from a bakery in NY, was fresh, well slathered with butter, and far better than it had to be as a non-headline component of the meal. Home fries were beautifully seasoned, though I do prefer mine a little more browned. Fruit salad on our visit included a slice of melon, a few grapes and a slice of orange. Our eight year old got a children's meal with one egg, home fries, toast and juice ($4.50). She enjoyed her fluffy scrambled eggs, which she ate sandwiched between two halves of a generously buttered English muffin. My only nitpick: You could taste a touch of margarine in the eggs, which I personally detest. Still, the food was head and shoulders better than (and half as expensive as) anything you can find at Mohawk Mountain, where we are usually resigned to grub. We are so, so thrilled to find this sweet little place a hop and a skip away from the mountain. It's a perfect place to refuel after early morning ski practice!
