I have been here several times before, so please take away that their food and service brings me back. Also, as a tip, if you're going for weekend brunch, make sure you're not hurting for time - the line accumulates quickly! They have several versions of eggs benedict; my most recent combined shrimp, smoked surry sausage, and grit cakes instead of English muffins. While it was a little messy, it was delicious with New Orleans flair. Combined with home fries, it was carb heaven. Egg bistro also has a nice selection of Bloody Mary's. I went with the original this last time and found it a little lacking in alcohol, but it did have nice flavor with Worcestershire and tomato. Although next time I will have to get the one that uses bacon as garnish. The service is always nice, and their coffee is strong. If you need a Benedict fix or a mimosa flight, this is your stop. read more

Phenomenal comfort food at a decent price...something that is oh so hard to find these days. My only word of advice to others--you must know in advance that this place is a poorly kept secret. Long time listener, first-time caller. Broken egg is always our absolute favorite breakfast spot. Deanna brings so much value to this restaurant and makes our visits a 12/10 every time! Bridget always makes a point to come say hi to us, and she brightens our morning. She works so hard and we really appreciate her. The food is fantastic, but it's really the staff that brings us back every week. I'm a little bummed they changed the Raspberry sauce and then completely took the farmhouse burger. We had to go to chkd in Chesapeake so i found out a Egg Bistro was in the area and we ordered takeout online. The process was pretty easy but you can't leave a note on your order or do substitutions. So i just placed my order. I got the southwest omelet which i normally get at the General Booth location and i sub the grilled chicken for fried chicken, and its always delicious. But this visit at this location was a little different. I also got pancakes with eggs and bacon, and white toast. I ordered sausage gravy and a biscuit. The prices were reasonable. When i opened my food. There was no biscuit, no toast, the chicken wasn't cooked all the way because it had a chewy texture, and i also didn't get the sour cream that goes with it. The home fries also were a small portion compared to the cubed hash browns my daughter got. I ate some of the omelet but couldn't finish it because the chicken was weird. Also it was hard to eat the gravy without a biscuit. I tried to call to speak to someone and the phones just rang and rang. I tried 3x and the same thing. So i emailed them to let them know and to this day I've never received a response. They are pretty busy so i understand it to an extent. But i was unhappy because I've never had a bad experience at the other location and the customer service is usually pretty good. I don't know if it was just an off day, but my expectations weren't met. I am sure I'll probably go to a different location but i don't think I'll go back to this location. I wish it was a better outcome. I'm sure they have other good food there. The pancakes were good. I also enjoyed the salsa. 3 stars... Went there on a weekday morning for breakfast. We had a carnitas breakfast burrito and a BYO burrito. The carnitas were a little under seasoned, but sill tasty. My wife's burrito was really tasty. The coffee was great and the service was good. read more

This is my 2nd time within a week eating at The Egg Bistro. Last weekend I met a friend at the Haygood location. Today I met another friend at this one at Greenbrier. Rebecca was our waitress and was just so attentive and kind. Makes a HUGE difference when the staff treats you like family. The food was so delicious. I got the blueberry infused pancakes with the bacon and hashbrowns. I've never seen so many fresh blueberries in a pancake. They are more than generous with their portions. I had not been to the Egg Bistro for quite a while and was really looking forward to it. Always been a great place to eat. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and was so disappointed. The meat was so tough it was difficult to cut even with a knife. To have a sandwich so difficult to eat is not a pleasant experience. Took half of it to go, even my dog had trouble with the toughness of the meat. Chefs need to taste their stuff. read more
