I rarely get to go for breakfast (which is amazing), but luckily their dinner service is just as good. Nightly drink specials are great - $4 martinis on Fridays and $4 margaritas on Saturdays are real winners. For an appetizer I can't recommend the tuna bites enough. The calamari is great as well. Last time I was there I saw the quesadillas - I'll definitely be ordering them next time. As for entrees the five pepper tuna is delicious. My wife really enjoys the goat cheese and spinach salad and I agree with her. Their burgers are also great, especially on the pretzel rolls. For desert I'd recommend the bananas foster. Or maybe even the Boston cream pie martini. This place is always busy, though, so prepare to wait for a table. Hopefully their expansion will go quickly, as I've seen people wait for over an hour (because the food is totally worth it). read more

This was the first time we went, my daughter has been telling us we need to go. I'm so happy we went, we were there for dinner. Aston greeted us at the door and had a table for us right away. She told us about happy hour and we both had drinks, they were very good. I had a red Ruben burger, and my husband had chicken and waffles. The food was served right away hot and delicious. I was visiting the area with some co workers. They love the place. This was my first time. Went simple, Pastrami with Provolone Cheese on Marble Rye with yellow mustard. I also had a side salad with Italian dressing. Egg Bistro figured out how to make a side salad spectacular. I enjoyed it more than the Pastrami sandwich lol . This is one of my favorite breakfast places in this area. I recommend coming right when they open because they fill up fast, especially on weekends. Also, if you come before 8am you can get breakfast for 5 dollars. My favorite thing to get is the Virginian. It comes with two pancakes, two eggs, and your choice of sausage or bacon. This always hits the spot for me. Their pancakes are exceptionally good. I usually order a fruit cup as well and it is very fresh. The downside is there is usually a wait, but thats the price you have to pay for an exceptionally good breakfast! This was my first time here on Sunday. It was packed but I knew it was going to be. Our waitress was sweet and on point. The food was delicious and everyone at my table didn't speak after the food came because everyone was stuffing their face with the great food! The hash browns cubed are to die for! I could eat an entire bowl of them. The french toast was good. My boyfriend got the chicken biscuits and he devoured them! The only request I have is to get more seats for people waiting. My husband and I love eating at this restaurant for brunch or dinner! This is one of our favorite local restaurants, also one of the few non-chain restaurants in our area. The food is awesome - from their traditional menu entrees to their chef specials. They offer nouvelle cuisine at great prices (between $8 to $20 for dinner). The desserts are nontraditional and "homemade". We've had to wait almost every time we go, up to around 15 minutes outside on the sidewalk, but is definitely worth it. The ambience is open, airy with a bistro flair. It can get loud at times because it is always crowded. Would love it if the restaurant was larger and in a more scenic setting, rather then the small shopping strip area. There are no booths, only tables for seating where you seat yourselves. We have never been dissatisfied with the wait staff, service or food. I always recommend this restaurant to others. It's also a great place to meet friends. The patrons vary, even with families. We've not brought our children to eat here with us, I enjoy this as one of my "grownup" restaurants! read more

I love the new egg bistro in VB but I was in the area and decided to go to the Chesapeake location. Our server was delightful and so cute. The food however, a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the black & blue benedict, with the steak medium rare. So the steak came undercooked and the poached eggs are super over cooked. Chewy steak and hard eggs are not a good combo. If I hadn't been starving and if it hadn't been busy (even though it was a Wednesday afternoon) I would have said something. My friends food came out great and the flight of mimosas saved the brunch.
