When we walked in, the owner said we would be back, and he was right! We absolutely will be. The best mom and pop shop we have been to in a long time! They make you feel like part of the family and the sweet grandma even brings around pieces of baklava for everyone to try! Honestly felt like I was eating breakfast in my grandmas kitchen. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better! The owner made suggestions on what his favorite menu items were, adding "my wife's" this or that, which melted my heart. You could see the pride in his face when he talked about her and her cooking. We both ended up ordering a different one. I got the hash brown omelette and my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy with a side of mystic potatoes. My hash browns were crispy and the omelette was flavorful and cooked to perfection! My boyfriend enjoyed that the gravy was served in a bowl and that you could see the large chunks of sausage in the gravy. He also said the mystic potatoes were out of this world. "There is a fine line between making cheesy potatoes and making them too cheesy and these are the best ones I've had". I can't forget to mention how incredible the baklava is! It melts in your mouth. The flaky crust is sweet and salty all at the same time. For anyone who doesn't know, baklava is a time consuming treat to make. While visiting from out of state , went out of our way to come here going to the airport , and sure glad we did! We were kindly greeted by everyone and quickly learned that this was a family operated business. They were so sweet with our baby girl and gave her so much attention. From the sweet chef and owner to her mother- the famous Baklava queen- we enjoyed the home cooked meal and warm conversation with all of the family. The Baklava was especially delicious!!! The food is 5 stars, but we had a bit of an awkward encounter when we visited. An older woman greeted us and tried to seat us when we arrived. She was wiping off a table, and then the person that I can only assume is the owner started yelling at her. "MOM, MOM MOOOOMMMMM" and he pulled her into the back and someone else finished wiping our table. Once we were sat, our drink order was taken and the young lady that took it explained that she would be a minute because she had several other drink orders. We told her that we were in no hurry, and that would be fine. About 30 seconds later, the owner stopped by the table and asked for our drink order and we explained that it was already taken. He then said that he is capable of getting drinks (in a very condescending tone) and asked what it was again. He also grabbed my husband's shoulder when speaking to him on multiple occasions. The food was prepared by his wife, and it was delicious. The coffee is also really good. We will definitely go back, but I will say that the owner made things super awkward even though I'm 100% sure that his intentions were to give great service. read more

Can I select more than 5 stars? This place is awesome! A family-run restaurant that truly cares about their customers. We have never had a bad experience here, and we visit often. The food is delicious, and can be customized. The hollandaise sauce is to die for! I often ask for it on top of my omelette. And the baklava! Oh my! I have never liked baklava...too sweet and sticky. The baklava here is so good that I sometimes order a piece with breakfast. Barberton is full of great breakfast aces, but this one is my favorite. I think the difference is that the owners truly care about putting out quality food every single time. read more

Decided to take my lunch break here. Very inviting on the inside for a start. Very good service from very friendly waitresses, coffee is never empty, as everyone else has said. Ordered a Greek Omlete, with a side of bacon, and hash browns, it was out in 7 minutes! Browns and bacon were nice and crispy, as they should, and the Omlete had a hearty serving of spinach, tomatoes, and feta. I had twenty minutes to spare before break was over, very fast service! We chose this restaurant based on the previous reviews since we're new to the area and are still figuring out the good places to go. This one will absolutely go on our permanent rotation. The owner greeted us upon walking in and chatted with us. We had the pumpkin pancake with cream cheese frosting, biscuits and gravy and the mystic potatoes. The gravy was hot and fresh with no skin on the top like other restaurants. The biscuits were hot and fluffy. Mystic potatoes are amazing. They're a creamy cheesy potato that melts in your mouth. It's been probably 2 years since I've been here, but I was on yelp looking for somewhere to go for breakfast and was shocked to see that this place has such a high rating. And here's why. The food is mediocre at best. It's bland and I impressive. The place is eclectic, which I usually like, but this was just a strange environment. Like they bought up a yard sales junk and tossed it all around. The man who I assume is the owner was nice but way too talkative. He just hovered around talking which would've made it hard to enjoy our breakfast even if it had been enjoyable. Obviously a lot of people enjoy the food and odd environment. This place is great!! I don't know if the food or the service is better but the are both excellent. My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time after seeing great reviews on yelp. I ordered eggs benedict and he ordered the western omelet. We both had the mystic potatoes (cheesey hashbrowns) There was a problem with my order when it came to the table actually but they were so great about handling it. They immediately took it and made me a new dish which came out in only about 10 minutes. The guy was very apologetic and even took the food off the bill for us. And when the plate came out it was so delicious! My boyfriend and I ended up buying their home made baklava on our way out. And let me tell you it is SO GOOD. A little pricey but worth every penny. It's everything that the others are saying! I happened in here because I was working in the area. Of course, I checked out Yelp and you never pass up five stars! The Enchanted Cafe is tucked back behind a bunch of gas stations and industrial buildings. It's very small and unassuming. It's decorated in elves and whimsical trees. But it's classic cafe with the bar and pay station. I had a perfectly cooked omelet. The eggs were fluffy and yellow the ingredients were sauteed before adding to the omelet (the staff told me that detail) so it was flavorful and browned. I had the portabello but there were so many great choice I will be coming back! The hospitality was 100%. If you don't want to feel like family I wouldn't suggest this place! Everyone learns your name and talks to you like you are a regular. The highlight was the baklava that they gave to me with the check! It was amazing! Absolutely the best I've ever had. So much so that when I saw the cute old lady that made it I had to tell her and then buy some to go! Right now my daughter and I are enjoying her first baklava and she is in love! This place is the absolute best breakfast and brunch place in the area. The staff are the friendliest people, always making you feel welcome, and the food is delicious. I usually have a 50/50 shot with eggs Benedict- restaurants either make it perfect or screw it up horribly. It didn't take long for this cafe to become a favorite breakfast spot. The Enchanted Cafe is a hidden gem - literally hidden behind a car dealership and a Circle K - across from Barberton High School. As other reviews have mentioned, the building itself is modest, quirky, and charming. I think I remember a Christmas tree inside decorated with various St. Patrick's day ornaments. Staff members are hospitable and conversational. I distinctly remember hearing one employee talk about skiing or something of that sort with the table next to mine and greeting other customers by their first names. This place seems to have a lot of regulars. On both of my visits, I ordered a Greek omelette and both times, I was thoroughly satisfied. I can't put my finger on exactly what is different about the omelettes they serve here, but they are fuller and more flavorful than those I've eaten at other Akron-area breakfast spots. Additionally, the hash browns were cooked perfectly. Other cafes sometimes burn their hash browns, but this cafe seems to know how to prepare every component of a good breakfast. I also appreciated the fact that they gave me a sufficient amount of jelly for my toast and that they frequently refilled my drink. read more
