We've been a few times and they are well built escape rooms. The themes are great and the puzzles were fun. The people who check you in are very friendly and welcoming. It also is nice that they have a little bar where you can buy drinks and even carry them into the room with you. However, I think the last time we visited, the staff was a little heavy handed with the clues toward the end even though we had a good 5-10 minutes left. It seemed like he was basically walking us through step-by-step in last little room. read more

The Escape Company is so awesome! Me and my father had just arrived at Disney Pop Century to check in -- to burn some time, we though, "What better thing to do then do an escape room!" The Escape Company has many fun and challenging escape rooms for all to enjoy! We were only 4 steps away from beating the outlawed one. Very well set up! The worker was super nice and funny! Hints were helpful! We had 2 clues leftover at the end of the game -- we were ticked off we didn't use them. Overall an awesome experience! Price wasn't horrible but definitely could've been cheaper. I've been here twice now and both rooms I did were so fun. The first time we did the murder mystery/CSI room and the second time we did the outlawed room. We escaped both time. The staff is super nice and if they see you're pretty stuck they'll offer you some help and not count it as a hint. One room we did one of the locks was stuck and made us waste a bunch of time so they gave us a coupon to come back. The Rundown: Small business escape company that has heart. The Review: I've since been to The Escape Company twice and each time had been a positive experience. While yes, the rooms may not be super flashy, you can tell that solid effort is made with quality puzzles that will offer you a challenge no matter your level. I've done once with a group of people who haven't done them before, and once with veterans, and the experience was great both times offering enough challenges for each while remaining fun and not being frustrating. The staff have been awesome - they definitely make it clear they are glad to see you and want you to succeed and have a great time (without being too easy). If you're considering The Escape Company, I'm confident you will have a great experience. While in the rooms the workers are extremely helpful and even have some fun themselves. Each room has different difficulties from beginner to a little more advanced. This was my first escape room so I don't have a comparison. We had a blast and we got out! First thing is there are about 5 different rooms to choose from and they hold different numbers of players. When making your reservation I would ask lots of questions so you get the one you want. It is not easy to switch that day, although we did. Plus if the room holds say 7 and you make a res for four you might be playing with 3 people you met that day and they might have a different skill level. They serve beer and wine and will bring them to you while you play the game. However their puzzles will require a lot of brain power so I might hold off on drinking a lot. They watch you on video and if you all raise your hands and ask for a clue they will give you a hint. It is automated so our clues showed on the video screen and sounded like a bullet or shot from a cartoon as we were in the Outlaw escape room. The employees were nice but one person giving hints suggested we get a younger player to snag something with a hook. Really? These are not really physical challenges so one of our players was offended. I would go back and do another escape so that is the bottom line. We had a fun time and for this birthday party crew and it required you to think and to work as a team. I saw another Yelper mention bringing a pad and pen and that is a great tip. We got there right at 5:15. They go to ring us up and i hand them a coupon we got from them last time. They say that they just cleared out their coupon codes. After explaining that I wish they would of had an expiration date on it, they honored it. This person was grumpy and definitely did not want to be there. As they walked up and down the hall, we could hear them huffing. We waited 15 minutes till another person came out and asked if we were ready. They explained that it was their easiest room after asking if we had played before. We've actually played here before and it was decent and we figured we'd give it another shot. After they said that, I was a bit uneasy. I didn't wanna fly through it (which is exactly what we did) and feel like our money was wasted. I really wish, after hearing our concerns, they would of offered a different room. They weren't busy and we gladly would have waited. We get in the room and it's alright but immediately any "transportation to another world" is shattered by people talking in the other room and down the hall. The walls are paper-thin. Without giving away anything, the things that you had to do in the room were things that you're told at every other escape room not to do. That slowed us down. The room also hosted a broken ceiling and had a blanket over the wires at the end that definitely looked like it was part of the puzzle. Overall, the service was pretty bad and the room wasn't at all original. Nothing but classic locks in need of a key and word/number locks. It's a $32 pp escape room and among it's peers in that price range, it's definitely in last place. read more

Normally u start my reviews with a 'pros & cons' but this entire place is a mess. Cons: - People walking around without masks - Empty sanitation stations everywhere - Boring and messy lobby - Disappointing over-reliance on combo locks - Room had trash from previous party (and was generally dirty) - Arbitrary and obscure puzzles and clues - Faulty locks (doors and combos) - etc. We encountered issues straight from booking with the website locking up during the purchase and the booking we wanted disappeared. Had to call to book where I was answered by a woman who did not speak clear English before being put in hold until I eventually hung up. We went anyway to see if the game was still open and it was. 10-15 mins after our start time we were allowed into the room and presented with 4 combo locks, a phone that worked as an obscure combo lock, and a keypad that also worked as a combo lock. Only 1 out of 3 items in the room actually had something to do with the puzzles (even less for puzzles in the room itself) which led to no end of confusion. The second room only had 3 combo locks with more in the adjoining room... as soon as we entered the adjoining room, we were asked to step back, as that doorway was not actually supposed to be open. After solving that room we entered the third and final room with 3 more combo locks, a padlock, and, hey, would you look at that? Two additional combo locks hidden behind the one we just opened. The whole game was more of an assault of numbers and letters leaving you to figure out just what actually matters, where it goes, and in what order. read more

We escaped!! With a group of 10 it was exciting to see all of us work together to figure out everything. We chose the "Silent Tide" room which was a pirate story. With our beers in tow we were off to our room with our hats on. We had plenty of locks to go thru which were all different...some required 4 digits and 5 letters. You have 3 clues to use during your hour. Definitely a good time for a group of 4 or more. read more

Hands down my FAVORITE experience overall from our latest vacation. We frequent escape rooms and not only did The Escape Company offer challenging, exciting, and unique rooms to play through, but our game team, Chris and Tori, made our experience extra special! They were extraordinarily fun to talk to and were attentive and enthusiastic as our game masters. While not in our rooms, we enjoyed the atmosphere between games and the bar offered a fun place to hang out and wait! ESCAPETHEROOMers were at this location in Jan. The Orlando location currently offers four rooms total.The lobby area is spacious and comfortable w/ a bar available for drinks. The owner recommended that we try their hardest room (not to mention hardest in Orlando) - "Pandorum". The minute that you step inside "Pandorum" you are fully immersed into the story. The decor was quite impressive and it really enhanced our experience. Was the room as challenging as they claimed it to be? Not really. It was challenging mainly because there was a lot to do and we were a total of three people. One of the puzzles was trial and error and didn't require logic which also became time consuming. The room is mainly played in a very dim lit setting and there were only 2 lights available in the room for 3 people. We had to request a third light from our game master so that we all could work on puzzles simultaneously. There were some unique puzzles and challenges that we never seen before which played along very well w/ the theme and storyline. I believe we could've escaped w/ 5-10 more minutes since we completed 85% of the room.Overall we had a great time and it was great to take a backstage tour with the owner as well! Staff are always super friendly and helpful when needed! The place is clean and I feel safe being there during all of this COVID madness. I've done 2 rooms here and I'm looking at coming back to do Pandorum some time. My only issue is some of the puzzles feel lazy or oddly planned out. The rooms I've done (Outlawed and CSI Urban Serial Killer) were doable and not impossible by any means. Their Groupon was a great price, $15/person for me, however, the rooms are limited. We signed up for the Outlawed room and after a brief/cheesy video about the theme, we were taken to the room. The puzzles were decently challenging and fun. Just as you thought you were done, another room popped up. It took us a little under an hour with a couple of​ hints. My problem was that you don't have the room to yourself. Since it's in Orlando, they try to cram as many people into the rooms as possible and that can make or break your experience depending on how the other's are. We had a great couple on our team that helped us escape. I don't like asking for hints but everyone else wanted them. My other problem was that it felt like the staff isn't friendly. They just want to get you in and hide. When we entered, we weren't greeted by anyone. We were just in the lobby alone until our game started (we had arrived half hour before). Having someone to greet you and talk to you while you sit there would make you feel at home more than just entering a strange place and finding something to do to kill time. Overall, it was a fun experience and I can't wait to go back and try the other rooms. read more

The first one we went to somewhere else was more expensive, not as exciting, and the staff was a little too helpful. Being able to drink while playing was also a nice addition. We have done plenty of escape rooms around the country as a family in the past. This experience was, by far, the best we've had. The owner was very friendly, polite and helpful. There was beer and soft drinks available while you wait (you can take the beverages into the rooms as well). We arrived early so, while the staff was preparing our room, I enjoyed a beer and my son and I played chess on the board in the waiting area. Our room was very fun and challenging (we chose one of four room experiences). The staff was helpful in providing clues as needed and even brought my wife a Coke in during the game when she felt her sugar getting a little low. So much fun! Highly recommend! My family of 5 did the Legend of the Silent Tide room yesterday and we escaped with 3 mins left on the clock. You get 60 mins and there are 3 rooms and about a dozen locks that you have to crack. The host was super friendly and helpful. It was by far our best escape room experience so far. I'm low key mad at myself for not giving Escape Room Entertainment another shot before writing my previous review... Usually, I wait until I've played all the rooms I intend to play at a business before writing a review, but I was so put off immediately after walking out of my experience with Outlawed that I thought I would never be back. But finally the draw of Suburban Serial Killer called me back to Escape Room Entertainment, and here I am, breaking my own rule AGAIN because I fully intend to visit their other rooms now but I can't in good conscience leave my rating at 2 stars. I don't think I've ever returned to a business that I rated so lowly, so I walked in full of shame, as one does. Matt, our game master, was super friendly and fun right from the beginning. He talked to us before having us watch the intro video and found out we're enthusiasts so he spared us a lot of the unnecessary explanations about how to open locks, etc. Let me just say, the experience we had today with Suburban Serial Killer was a 6-out-of-5 experience. The game was really cool and had more immersive scenic than just about any other game I have played (with the possible exception of Rest Easy Motel at Escape Artists)... The game takes place in a suburban home, and it looked and felt like one. Matt was also one of my favorite game masters that I've ever had (as in 11/10, would be friends) and really helped make it an amazing experience. He was fun to talk to before, during, and after the game and was just as passionate about escape rooms as my girlfriend and me. He actually realized in our conversation after the game that I was the customer who had written that terrible review. I was super embarrassed but he was so gracious about it and told me that it was helpful and that they actually changed their clue system because of the review--talk about a well-run business! I was kind of blown away by that. Anyway, in summary, I absolutely loved our experience with Suburban Serial Killer and I now can't wait to visit Escape Room Entertainment's other rooms. This is the second time we have been to this location. We decided to do Pandorum which is said to be the toughest room in Orlando. Our first experience was a couple of months ago where we did Silent Tide. We did not escape either one. My one major issue was with the flashlights, especially in Pandorum. One didn't work, one was very dim and the 3rd one was working fine. The rooms for Pandorum were very dark, so without proper working flashlights it made the difficulty even worse. Our hostess was good, she did help us a couple of time as she could see we were struggling. I believe having better flashlights would have helped us here as we did make it to the final task but ran out of time. We have done other escape rooms in Orlando and never had the issues with the rooms being to dark as the flashlights provided were always bright enough to help with the searching. read more

I heard that an escape room was being built in this location off of Palm Parkway - close to Disney Springs. It was a lot closer than the other escape rooms in the Orlando area. We picked the Suburban Serial Killer room. (We later found out that this was one of their hardest rooms.) Each room has a different theme. Some of the rooms are easier than others, so if you're new to "escape rooms," I'd recommend calling and figuring out which ones are easier. This room could fit up to 8 people. I thought it was pretty crowded with the 7 people we had. Additionally, I didn't realize that we would be paired with strangers. I haven't had that happen in other rooms. We were taken into the first room, where you watch a video related to the theme of the room. You're offered to wear some props. Then you're taken into the first room. You'll get a brief rundown of the rules and how to get help if you need. Just FYI, the room is NOT locked. So if you need to get out, you can. I won't spoil things, but I thought the room was pretty easy. We were actually told that it had a very low escape rate. Personally, the story for this was cool in concept but failed to deliver at the end. (No spoilers here, but given that we had done other escape rooms in the area, we felt that the story line was lost.) Also, I felt like seven people was too many for this room. We escaped with about fifteen minutes to spare. Overall, this was a great price with the Groupon, but I wouldn't pay full price. I'd also pay for another escape room in the area. Maybe if they step up their game, I'd come back again. read more

Overall a decent escape room experience for friends or family...let me explain The booking process was completely easy to complete on the website. As a first time customer to this escape room I was very excited with my family to complete a room, with having experience doing escape rooms in the past I was excited, we did the urban survival killer room, the overall room was fun and creative, there were however some locks and pieces of evidence unlocked or in wrong places during the room. Our host was very helpful and gave clues whenever we needed them and was very nice when doing so. However when moving on to the 2nd room we had a different host I'm assuming one of the managers became our new host and questioned if we had done anything in order and how we got certain clues and certain things unlocked. He began to get frustrated on us not doing every clue in order and messing the room up looking for clues when our original host said it was ok to look and search the room as is. For the rest of experience we were only questioned if we had done any of the clues right or other rooms in order. Finally whenever we asked for new clues with our new Male Host no response on multiple occasions and had to ask more than once for clues as he wasn't even there. Overall if you want a fun experience you're probably going to have to give this place 2-3 chances with the easily frustrated staff or just go somewhere else with more friendly customer service. read more

I love a clever clue, but a few of the clues in our room were so flimsy and far-fetched that it made the entire experience feel contrived. We made a reservation online for a party of 6. 5 of the 6 attendees have never been in any escape rooms. Online we picked one of hardest rooms (unknowingly) but Susan recommended doing a different room. We agreed that would be the best idea. So we finished one room and escaped, then decided to add the harder one and escaped that one too! The rooms were well decorated for the theme and the clues were tricky. He had light brown hair, Caucasian, and helped us on the last prison escape game closing hour of June 25th. He was totally amazing and very patient even though it was the last hour, and very helpful with the clues. My family had a phenomenal time! *Update* - We previously had sworn off this company, after a bad experience in the Silent Tide room, but just recently gave them another try, because we were really interested in trying their Hidden Temple room. One thing I want to establish right off the bat, is that the room has nothing at all to do with the old Nickelodeon game show. I'm not saying that as a negative, because they never claimed that it was ... I'm just making sure to add that, because the members of our group had all been curious about that. The room was actually quite a bit more fun for us than the Silent Tide room was. Mostly because, the max persons in this room was 6 people, which is definitely the most you can put in the sections of the room, while still having adequate room to move around and work on puzzles. The décor all fit nicely, and the sections of the rooms transition nicely. There was only 1 puzzle in the room that really stumped us for a couple of minutes, the rest of the puzzles were definitely very solvable. All in all, I'd give the temple room a 4 out of 5 stars. The only thing I really found lacking was the ending for the room. The storyline ends kind of abruptly, leaving you standing there saying "wait, was that it?" All in all, this was a MUCH better experience than Silent Tide, which I still believe is not a big enough room to accommodate the 10 person Max they have it set at. For that reason, I have changed my overall rating of this company from a 1* to a 3* *Original Review* We tried the Silent Tide Escape Room, which was our 10th escape room. The room itself was pretty cool. The concept was very well thought out, and the puzzles were cool. The staff was friendly as well. In the room we experienced a couple new types of puzzles, and some we have seen elsewhere, all in all, a good combination. There were only 2 things that really made this experience less enjoyable for us. #1 - We ended up with a full room of 10 people (our group of 6 + another group of 4, and much of this room was just not comfortable for that big of a group. I really feel like maybe they have the max number set too high for this room. A max of 6-8 seems more appropriate. It led to difficulty moving around, difficulty communicating, a lack of tools, and some party members not getting to participate at all (including a disappointed 7 year old). #2 - On top of not having enough tools for the whole group, the ones we did have, did not work very well at all. I'm not sure if it was an issue with batteries, or the tools just needing replacement. read more
