First off, my eyebrows look great. Really! I wish I had before and after photos. I had decided to grow out my eyebrows from over tweezing. And, I needed something new. I learned about Lida and The Eyebrow Boutique from Yelp. Lida's reviews were great. Her craftsmanship exceptional. It's true. She's amazing. However..... The day of my threading.... Lida and her assistant greeted me the moment I entered and were very friendly. I had arrived early - by about 10 minutes. My appointment was for 3.30 pm. Lida did not see me until 3.45. I'm patient and was OK with the wait. She was working with another client. The moment I sat in the chair, she made me very comfortable. I told her I had never had my eyebrows threaded and wanted something "natural." Lida smiled and said, "you too can have beautiful eyebrows." I loved hearing that. Yes, make me beautiful I thought. She went straight to work. In middle of her threading, another client (perhaps a relative - an aunt, a grandmother, whoever) was very present in the room. Lida spent most of her time, while threading my eyebrows, arguing with this woman about " the telephone." I believe Lida is Armenian and was speaking to this woman in Armenian. Every other word spoken was "telephone." Perhaps she wanted to make a call and couldn't. I don't know. All I know is that the telephone was a concern for all parties. (NOTE: Lida was speaking with her assistant and her "niece" while arguing with the "relative" while I sat there in my chair with Lida threading and tweezing my eyebrows.) I was feeling very uncomfortable in the middle of the hassle. I thought to myself, "Gosh. I really don't want crooked eyebrows. Please don't stab me in the eye with the tweezers. Thread slowly." My hesitation grew. I tried very hard to stay calm and WANTED TO BELIEVE IN LIDA'S SKILL TO NOT GIVE ME CROOKED EYEBROWS OR TO STAB ME IN THE EYE. Whew.... Lida finally finished her work. I sat up, looked at myself in the mirror, and loved the results. What a difference! Truly. I would definitely go back to see Lida and have my eyebrows threaded, but would try to go when she's less distracted. Hopefully, the "aunt" won't be there next time. Cheers! read more

I love this place! I love Lida's work!!! She is really a master at what she does! I will never go anywhere else! I went to Lida from Day 1 of my eyebrow shaping days over 10 years ago. I have horrible, thick coarse, dark eyebrows, and Lida always made them look beautiful. For some time, I had chosen to go elsewhere that was a bit cheaper, and let me tell you people you do get what you pay for! I would pay $10, drive all the way to Burbank from Glendale, every single week before, now going to The Eyebrow Boutique, true it's a little bit more expensive at $25 for eyebrows, but at least I go once every two weeks and it's only a few blocks from my house. Everyone I knew would ask me why I had to pencil in my eyebrows, and I had to explain that the new lady I went to was trying something on my eyebrows and cut off too much, or made my eyebrows crooked and their answer always was "It's ok, just pencil it in those parts until the next time when I fix it"! How frustrating it was to always hear that!!! Unfortunately during the time I was not going to the salon Lida worked at, I didn't know the place closed down and she had a place of her own. So, one day I'm on yelp, looking for new salons and places to try where I come across The Eyebrow Boutique, and Lida's name. I was sooo excited!!! I called made an appointment, usually they are very accommodating with possible same day or next day appointments available. The receptionist was so nice, she made an appointment for me the next day, morning hours (which is very quiet there and there's no wait =)). She is such a sweetheart, gets to know you, and is very fast and efficient with the work she does. Literally takes her 10-15 minutes, no hot wax, no asking you to hold your eyelid and eyebrows apart, just *poof* magic and you're done. I actually had people asking me how my shape has changed, and telling me my eyebrows are so much thicker and nicer, and if I'm using a new eyebrow pencil. And this was only after the first time I had gone back after others totally brutally messed up my brows. I can go on and on about her work, and how wonderful she is, but I guarantee anyone, if you once, you will not regret it. The place itself looks beautiful too, very nice ambiance. Oh, and you gotta love the 90 minute free parking right next to the place (which is located in central Glendale in a restaurant filled little alleyway between Brand Blvd, and Maryland Ave, across from the beautiful new movie theater). as most have already said, lida is fantastic! i have what i've deemed as a "problem brow" which no one can seem to shape correctly. i always walk out with one brow done perfectly & the other struggling to match up. lida, was able to get it to match the other in no time! the only downside is that they were a little thinner than i'm used to, but i still like the look. yes, it's a little pricey, but it's totally worth it! read more

I LOVE Lida!!! I've been going to her for eyebrow threading for a while. The shape of my eyebrows are perfect except I have bold spots so I looked into tattooing. She was very straight forward with me saying I don't really need it but it was look really good. So I decided to go for it. She did such an AMAZING job Feathering/shading my eyebrows. I was VERY VERY anxious about tattooing my eyebrows, but she put me at ease. I don't have high tolerance for pain especially on my face but I was able to tolerate it. She put numbing cream on every 10 mins to make sure I don't feel anything. Recovery was easy. Now its been about 3 weeks and it looks so natural no one realizes its a tattoo. I get my eyebrows threaded and tinted with Lida and she is the only person I can trust with my eyebrows after trying out many different places. My eyebrows are very light and they have always been thin. She has given my eyebrows the perfect shape with the perfect color and I don't even have to color them in every morning. She is the best eyebrow lady around! I used to go to her only back in the day, but I lost touch with her. I found her on Yelp! Whew! I'm very picky with my eyebrows. She is very professional and knows what she is doing. I came to her with uneven eyebrows and she made suggestions as to how to get them more even. After few visits my eyebrows became even. My eyebrows look good. Lida is very good at making eye brows look good. But when you ask for threading, thats what you expect... she used the twizzers an awful lot. Twizzed way more than threaded. One reason why I wont go back is because I prefer the threading... but she does make them look nice. It is also pricey. Hello Ladies, I would like to share my beuty secret with all the laddies. I just had the most amazing experience at The Eyebrow Boutique in Glendale, Ca. I had an appointment with Lida, whos is as professianal as it gets. She is a sweet, kind and an amazing artist. I went in to get my eyebrow tattooed. Right from the start the customer service was great. I was taken right on time and was offered coffee, water and sweets. Lida is a true talent who knows her job very well. She asked me what I wanted and then gave her professsional opinion. She was not pushy and did what I asked her to do. It was pain free nd she took her time with me. She was not rushing and always made sure I was comfortable. I'm actually a very picky person and usually leave the salon unsatisfied and to my SURPRISE i had nothing to compalain about and was so happy with the results that I thanked her and complimented her million of times. There are many salons we can all go to and trust me I've been to half of them, but from now on The Eyebrow Boutique will be the only place I go. Let me start by saying that I have very fine body hair that grows very very slow so it is important that when I get my eyebrows done, that they're done right. The slightest mistake will ruin selfies for the next 8 weeks at the least! However Lida has magic in her hands! I wasn't able to make it to my regular eyebrow lady and decided to try this place based on the yelp reviews and location. She was able to see me on short notice and did an excellent job with my eyebrows, which I haven't experienced often since moving to the LA area (as strange as that may sound.) The location was nice and the shop was clean with nice background music. They even had treats! The only reason this isn't a five star review is because of the price, which was significantly more than I typically pay for my eyebrows, and because the shaping was done with a mix of threading and tweezing, which I know is common among threaders in the area, but I like a pure threading experience whenever possible. I couldn't be happier with my results, I went to Lida because I saw she has great reviews and my first time meeting her is when I did micro blade eyebrows and the results are just amazing.
