Amazing ambiance. The Fallen Trident is a must do experience in downtown Newhall. The sultry surroundings of the sunken ship themed dining room are well apportioned. It is evident that a lot went into the planning and execution of the reworking of this space. From the lantern fish glass buoy lamps to the wooden plank covered wall there is a lot to take in. Laci gave us great service. She checked back with us several times throughout our experience without being a bother. She wore a smile and was witty. The food runners delivered our items in an extremely quick manner and all items were as ordered. Food was tasty and well presented. Crab Rangoon actually had great flavor and you can taste the crab. Coconut Shrimp was good as well. The deviled eggs were the best appetizer we had. Very yummy. The pineapple rice with pork belly was very good and presented in a ring of pineapple. Drinks were presented in tiki glasses with beautiful garnishes. We tried several beverages each with its own unique character and flavor palate. Overall a great evening. We will be back. read more

Lots of buzz around town about this place. Our experience: Service: Prompt and attentive. Drinks: Very good. I had The Zombie and copped just the right amount of buzz. Appetizer: Very tasty and well presented. Crab Rangoons. Entrees: Also very good and well presented without being overly fussy. I had seared ahi with rice and mango chutney. Chutney had a really nice heat to it. My wife had the Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp Tempura. Very tasty, very nicely presented. read more

I very much enjoyed my time at the Fallen Trident this weekend. Service impeccable. Open 5 weeks. Atmosphere tiki. Not overly saturated, I liked the details with the barnacles on the back of the chairs, the decorated walls and ceiling, and lamps. It looked like the inside of a ship with portholes which I thought was super cool. There were also "monster fish skulls" along the walls. Neat. Music: some Exotica, some classical, some Austin Powers. I'm more of a purist and like to hear only Tikiesque music in that setting, but they are adhering to the mixed, local crowd as well. Can't fault them for that. The music was a nice touch either way. Sashimi peppers were good. I liked that they mixed them with edamame and garlic. I'm used to a little more searing but it was still tasty. I did add salt though, which was an easy fix. Mai Tai was proper. Not too complex, a little dry. Possibly needs a tad more orgeat for balance. By the way the only juice in an original 1944 Mai Tai is lime. For the people who might used to more of a resort style Mai Tai, the good news is the owner said they will be adding one to the menu soon. It will be similar to the fruity versions, and I believe he said it would have a float. Although I was two drinks in and the drinks are stiff so don't quote me on that. Definitely money will spent. The Zombie was decent, balanced and not too sweet. The cinnamon stick garnish was a nice touch. I gave them a suggestion to light the cinnamon stick on fire, and they said they are working on a new drink with a lit stick! For now I wouldn't try to pop in without a reservation, they get busy. read more

I'll give it a 5 for drinks and atmosphere. Loco Moco was pretty good. Shrimps were small and not much flavor. Wings flavor was not good and little over cooked. Went here for a date night last week. Starting with service, very attentive and polite. This is a new Tiki spot and for only being open for a month, we were impressed. Drinks were very good, not exactly right but very close. For being new they have a lot of drinks to pick from and really good food. The hubby got a Loco moco that was really yummy and I got the poke nachos that were probably the best I've had so far. Bartenders are really nice and cheerful. The decor is really cool, like your underwater. The best part is that there's a brewery just above this place, rooftop view. I can't wait to go back. We really enjoyed the fallen trident! Its not so much a "tiki bar" as it is more of a shipwreck/kraken themed bar. The decor and lighting was awesome, really well done! The drinks were good (cant wait to come back and try their expanded menu soon), and the food was all really good too. It's a little pricey for the portion sizes,, but to be expected based on where they're located and the fact that you're paying for the experience. We will definitely be back! read more

We have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Fallen Trident. Our family has always enjoyed eating at Pocock and we were so excited to hear about the tiki bar opening on the first floor! My husband and I visited on Wednesday and had a fantastic experience! We ordered coconut shrimp, poke nachos, and shishito peppers. Everything was absolutely delicious! The drinks were excellent as well! We tried the classic Mai tai, painkiller, zombie, and Dr. Funk. The drinks were delicious and smooth, with super cute glasses and barware to match the theme. The inside is curated and decorated to match the tiki theme. The dark and dimly lit space was cozy and felt like an underwater dining experience. The owners of Pocock decided to turn the bottom hand of the restaurant into this amazing under the sea pirate oceanic theme bar. From the decor to the food to the ambience everything or so thought out an executed so well. All of the drinks are themed to fit the restaurant and are delicious. I wanted to love this place , but I'm not entirely sure what the long-term plan is here, As a fan of tiki culture, this missed the mark. The ambiance feels a bit rushed and superficial, lacking the immersive charm you'd expect from a dedicated tiki lounge. The vibe feels like a cheap, rushed imitation of a Disneyland theme, like it was slapped together overnight rather than carefully planned. The execution on the menu needs work. The Mai Tai, a tiki staple, was not good, and the bar lacks the flexibility to make classic drinks off-menu. On the food side, the portions are quite small for the price point. The $30 "seared" ahi was heavily encrusted in an unknown seed, and there is a lot of menu redundancy (the coconut shrimp appetizer is the exact same shrimp used in the fried rice entree). The flaming dessert was also a letdown, offering a chunky vomitous texture and a strong kerosene aftertaste. The only bright spot was our server, who provided good service, so I'm giving them 2 stars for that alone. Pocock has already proven they can brew good beer at their industrial center location. I'd love to see them bring that same quality and attention to detail here, but for now, this new Newhall spot is sadly a disappointment. read more

The Fallen Trident is a brand new Tiki Bar in Downtown Newhall. We were fortunate enough to get in last night for a soft opening. My wife and I are well acquainted with the Tiki culture and have been to more Tiki Bars than I can count. The decor is very cool! It's an under the sea theme. The food was quite tasty, and the drinks were on point. As the owner well knew, we're "Bar People", so we were seated at the bar. Our bartenders, Jake and Amie, were engaging and cranking out the cocktails at a great pace. Although the price point might be on the high side for some, we felt that the quality was worth our expense. Unfortunately, I was too busy eating, drinking and socializing, to take more pictures! What a welcome addition to the SCV. The innovative owners of Pocock bring this unique and exciting escape in Fallen Trident. The decor and atmosphere are among some of the best tiki bars I've visited. The drinks are creative and full of whimsy. I recommend the Jet Pilot and the Navy Grog (served in a spam can). The best of the night was the Dr. Fuzz. Order a Leilani Volcano to get a surprise. Poke Nachos were a 11 out of 10, but the coconut shrimp was just average and lacked flavor. I only wish we didn't have a time limit, but this was their soft opening. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. We can't wait to get back. read more

I'm so happy to have a tiki bar here in Santa Clarita so I automatically have to give it 5 stars. My only constructive critique I have to say is I wish they didn't promote having a 1934 zombie but then have missing ingredients that truly don't make it a 1934 zombie. I don't mind paying the price of a zombie because I understand the craft and all the ingredients that go into it but it was unfortunate to pay the price and not have a true 1934 zombie and not even get a buzz off of it. As some may know 1934 zombie is iconic for the intense ness of it and I did not get it at all. If you're going to have missing ingredients name it something else zombie. Other than that I loved the bar and its ambiance. read more

We had coconut shrimp, pork bellies, and seared Aji tuna excellent choice to go with the drinks , inside ambience felt like you're at a tiki bar underwater fantastic.
