It was a beautiful summer day so I decided to stop here for brunch. I chose patio seating which was nice with the exception of the golf hole which was only a few feet from the patio. There was lots of activity from the guests who were playing golf. The people and golf cart traffic did not add to the nice patio setting although it was fun to people watch while I was waiting for my food. Service was good. The serving staff was attentive. It did not take long for my food to arrive once I placed my order. It was a brunch menu but I chose to order breakfast. I love a good flavored pancake so decided on the banana walnut pancakes. I made a good choice in food selection. The bananas and walnuts were cooked in the pancake instead of just added as a topping. The portion size was generous. There were three large pancakes on my plate with butter and syrup sides. I did order bacon with my meal. The bacon was cooked perfectly...chewy, not crispy...and there were at least 6 slices served. Overall it was a good experience. I would recommend a reservation if you decide to visit. read more

Had no idea this was a golf course until we pulled up. The farm house restaurant is such a cool spot, so nice and tucked away. Awesome staff, amazing food, and a beautiful setting. We sat out by their new fire pits for dinner under the stars and enjoyed the killer Vermont Burger and their burger of the week - specializing in exotic/wild meats we found out! - which this time was DUCK. It was so delicious and tender and full of flavor. Also has the calamari with black garlic Mayo drizzle - we could've eaten that all night it was so good. Rustic dining room off of the bar area. Reservations ask "high or low table". All regular 'low tables' are in DR. The 'high' is the bar. Great staff, friendly and attentive but no rushing us through. The portions were extremely small, what I ordered had different cheese than what was in the menu. I questioned it and they said they changed it last week but not on the menu. I ordered french fries since my meal was so small and they sent me out some scraps. Everyone at the table had small portions. My wife and I were at the Farmhouse the other night for a few drinks and something to eat. We usually get bar food but were tempted by the special - Prime Rib! We each ordered the prime rib at about $45. each. The baked potato and string beans were good. The prime rib was not... tough ( sorta like chewing gum), with very little of the rich beefy flavor. It tasted like Regret with a side of Au Jus. Most of it went home for our big dog who seemed to enjoy it. I don't think we'll trust them with dinner again... just burgers. Delicious food in the coziest, homey atmosphere! Loved all the food, it wasn't crowded on a Thursday night and felt really homey on a February evening. Loved their menu options. This is definitely closer to 3.5 stars. But the scenery and service were great so I rounded up. We were looking for outdoor dining without a parking lot view. I heard about this place in a Facebook group and made a reservation. We started with the cheese board. Ok cheeses, large portions, nothing too fancy or stinky. The grapes were a little on the mushy side, but the fig jam was wonderful. I ordered the beet salad. Again great portion size, easily shareable. We ordered the halibut special and it was just ok. It lacked flavor. The fish and rice were so under seasoned. It didn't ruin the meal, but it was definitely a disappointment. Everything until then was pretty good. I came here for lunch today and sat outside to enjoy the nice weather. The view is really nice of the golf course and a small body of water. I had the short rib burger and sweet potato fries for lunch and both were delicious! I give a one star review because the concept this place attempts was poorly executed during my visit and the Farm House had sub par customer service to boot. I received the impression the food here was a few notches less than their attempt at casual/upscale American and was cloaked in golf club pretention. I unfortunately will not be coming back and did not feel the hike to Skippack was worth it. I left feeling BAD for spending a Friday night here!! I do not recommend this place to anyone who dines out frequently and can recognize well-executed food. Caesar salad: under seasoned dressing and improperly broken down salad. There was head of romaine in the mix. Forgiveable, but still not tasty considering the salad and the dressing ARE the dish. This is a basic litmus test for an American restaurant just like general Tso's is for a Chinese place. Crab and avocado salad on special: this came out with the avocado molded into a tartare patty-esque shape, with some crab on top, with a salad in some citrus vinaigrette on the side. I really thought I would love this dish since I love every one of the ingredients individually. This dish was actually an interesting concept but was lacking flavor. And I found an external avocado nub hidden in the tartare....by biting into it. The crab wasn't truly lump crab. You know, that beautiful clunky white stuff, but some tasteless, pulled apart, gray stuff. The avocado tartare was tasteless too and hard to eat. And the vinaigrette was too sparse to break up any of the rich avocado flavor or fix the crab blandness. The pit was unnerving to find and the icing on top. The chicken carbonara was actually made with rotini pasta, not gemeli as advertised in the menu, though this is not a big deal. The dish was tasty and passable except halfway through, we discovered a hair. This dish was sent back and we received zero apologies from the staff. The lobster ravioli filling was tasty, but it was engulfed by a thick, dumpling-like shell which overwhelmed the insides and defeated their luscious purpose. Sauce was zesty and nice. This dish was edible, but would have been much better if the pasta dough was less thick and enabled the gourmet stuffing to speak. After all of this, the chef comes out and offers us free dessert. No thanks as weren't sure how we would be disappointed by it and at this point wanted leave. We felt he was a little out of touch with the experience from our perspective, and did the right thing by coming out, but the wrong thing by attempting to fix dishes with dessert instead of a discount or comp. We had to hassle them to remove parts of the check and were surprised after all of that they didn't without us pointing it out. If it were another place they would have profusely apologized for such a terrible experience just in individual dishes, but overall, and not attempted to make the customer pay anyway. Atmosphere got busy as the night went on. There was a live band in the bar area. The dining area is freshly painted and pretty standard. Beige walls, with some reddish-painted molding mid wall and top and bottom. Pictures frames with gold frames. Hardwoods covered by rugs. read more

My husband and I loved coming in there. Very cozy and loved talking to Travis. My husband loved the cold beer they have there and I loved the wine and martinis. We went in around Valentines and the whole menu changed along with the wine list. Everything is much higher in price and a lot of the food items are gone. What a disappointment. Love the Farmhouse! It's our go to place for a snack and a drink or a nice meal. Their soups are excellent and I love the calamari appetizer. For dinner they have the best salmon in the Skippack area. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly with staff who are kind and courteous. Another review mentioned "having to be seated upstairs" but there is no upstairs. A cozy bar and restaurant area on one level and a scenic outdoor patio when the weather permits. Slainte! read more

Disorganized mess. I ordered a sandwich for pick-up via Grubhub and once the order was confirmed headed over. Upon arrival I waited at the hostess desk for a long time while a line of people slowly formed behind me. I was then told that they don't take Grubhub orders on weekends (despite my order somehow being confirmed by the restaurant). I eventually had to call Grubhub and have them speak to the restaurant in order to simply cancel my order and receive a refund. Waste of time. read more

It is a hidden, off the beaten path gem. Cozy rustic setting. Wonderful food. We had a small group of 5 and everyone raved about the food. The service was great. A small but varied menu. Our entrees ran from a burger through a Filet.... everything was well prepared and there were 5 clean plates at the end. The dessert were also to die for.....the dark chocolate cake looked delicious. Quick review. Very dark outside. We weren't sure they were even open. I always laugh when I walk in and they ask if we have reservations when the place is nearly empty. And laugh again later after we've been there for two hours and only 4 additional people have come in. Nice enough atmosphere inside. Scallops were good for an appetizer. Burgers were OK. Not great. Not outstanding. Not terrible. All in all, an unremarkable experience. Not terrible by any means. My husband and I were there on Saturday for some drinks/dessert. Travis was bartending and made me an excellent martini! One of the best I've ever had. I love their banana foster dessert too. I've been there several times and the food is always good and service is great. Nice, friendly staff! I highly recommend making reservations. Today we went there for lunch and Irene was fantastic! My only complaint is that the menus have changed since we were there on Saturday. I was shocked! The martini list was gone and so was the banana foster I came to know and love! Those were two big reasons for going here and they were gone! I certainly didn't expect changes like that within a few days and over a holiday (today was Valentine's Day). Very disappointed in the menu switch, but service was still outstanding, staff was as friendly and rolling with the changes as ever, I just really wish they still had the same martini list or something comparable to it. Only martini on the new list was a grapefruit martini that I'd never order in a million years. Had lunch here last week. Very quiet and lovely setting. The food was delish with interesting choices. I had butternut squash soup and half of a Chicken Cranberry Salad sandwich witch was very good. They have a full service bar. The dining area is nice and cozy with French doors at one end of the room and a fireplace. High-top table seating by the bar. There is outdoor seating in the warm season. We are planning a wedding shower here and Sean the food and beverage director couldn't be nicer or more helpful. read more

I was not impressed with this establishment. We ordered two appetizers. The first was the cheese plate. It was very obvious that the plate was prepped ahead of time. The second was the Tuna Tartare. The tuna lacked any flavor and the fried wonton that it was served in was cold and soggy. Once again indicating it was prepped and plated ahead of time. Out of the two entrees that were ordered, I will only comment on the one. The pork chop served with Risotto and Brussels sprouts. The pork chop was a very thin bone in cut of meat. It was to be served medium. It came out of the kitchen rare and was full of fat. The meat was so underdone and fatty. You couldn't even cut through it with a steak knife. Recently went to a bridal shower and it was the worst I have ever been to. The floor was wet through out, even in the kitchen as the staff were leaving wet foot prints from kitchen. Made me feel worried about sanitation. The fire alarm went off from 12 to 3 and was absolutely horrible! I poured a cup with the hot water provided for tea and it filled with black chunks, which my water glass also had. The event started ar 12 but nothing was ready until 1 as they were under staffed. The food was displayed very nice and wasnt terrible. If this was an event for me or had I paid for it I would have been devastated. I would never recommend this place for an event. read more

My fiancé and I tried to book our rehearsal brunch with this restaurant. Although I cannot speak to the food or the dining experience itself, I can say that we are absolutely appalled at how horrible our service experience with the events manager, Casey, was. After more than a month of initially filling out a request form, followed by repeated phone calls and multiple promises to answer my follow-up email, we learn that another party is booked for our day. Even though I had requested our date and time weeks ago and mentioned it each time over the phone, it was never recorded. When Casey FINALLY answered my email, it was a curt reply informing me they will not be hosting large parties this season. We now find ourselves scrambling to find another venue that will accommodate us two months out, because we were let down by this one. All I can say is, they lost out on hundreds of dollars from a 25-person event and we learned from our mistake and plan to never give them our business. read more

We came on a Friday evening and sat outside. Nice ambiance - the young woman playing the guitar and singing was PHENOMENAL! But outside of the entertainment and the wonderfully friendly hostess, there isn't much else to brag about. We got the tuna tartare and their special of a caprese stuffed avocado as the app. The tuna tartare ($15) was one single wonton crisp with tuna. I was shocked that they sold this little amount of food for that price -- the other app was not what I imagined: just slices of unripe avocado with tomatoes and burrata (not bad, but nothing to write home about). For dinner, my husband received his $50 filet which was supposed to be rare overcooked to at least a med rare. And my Greek Salad (a special for tonight that literally reads Greek Salad for $14 on the menu) had zero lettuce. It was just diced tomatoes, peppers, cheese, and olives. I was floored. Even trying to go to the restroom was challenging bc there were no working lights in the stalls, so once you close the door, it's pitch black. I really had higher hopes because it's a cute little spot. Would be nice for drinks and enjoying music- but the food was overall disappointing and low tiered read more

Was suspicious when there was only one other table occupied on a Thursday night with a packed parking lot. Apparently the golf is better than the food. Started with the red beet salad. Looked good but the beets were canned and the pine nuts rancid. The NY strip steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Unfortunately it was nearly inedible because of the grizzle. Stew Meat! The steak was topped with canned mushroom gravy. Not worth $32. The fingerling potatoes were ok but a bit dry. So disappointed. Would not recommend this place. read more
