I thought the food here was fantastic and fresh. Love the farm to table concept and that you're on the actual farm. I don't enjoy counter service meals as much as traditional sit down meals, and I found it expensive for a counter service brunch. The cocktails were quick and not well thought through and the bathrooms were dirty. The salad, soup, and sandwiches were great, though. And the atmosphere- can't be beat. It's really a lovely place. You can get it to go and bring a picnic blanket to spread out. People were even getting married there, and we enjoyed taking a walk to the gift shop.

The good: Cute little place! The food...very good! I had the pecan chicken salad n gluten free bread. My husband had the pecan chicken salad on a roll with albondigas soup. We both had iced tea as well. Refreshing. They need to offer simple syrup with the tea. Refills are no charge. We sat outside (only choice) in a sweet little shaded area at picnic tables. Lots of flies. This happened to be one of the last days before their summer closure. There were steady customers, but not too busy. Now for the bad: Our lunch was $54!!! IMHO that is too much! And for that price, they should at least throw a handful of potato chips beside your sandwich. It was a nice experience for us, but doubtful we will return due to the pricing.

I've had this on my list of places to eat. I absolutely love the set up, as well as being outside. What I ordered was a soup. I asked if it was made in house and I was told yes! It was definitely a can soup doctored up with some carrots and pasta. Wasn't what I was expecting at all. The ice tea was freshly brewed and tasty. I'll have to give this place another shot just because I enjoy the outdoorsy nature

Definitely color me 100% unimpressed. I was excited about this after a couple people told me how good it was. First of all the sandwiches are way overpriced. I have no problem spending $15-$20 for a sandwich these days. But then it better be a really good sandwich. These are not I had the chicken BLTDA and there was almost no dates and no Apple. One small strip of bacon. Super light dressing or mayo or aïoli. I can't remember what it was supposed to be. The bread is good. The chicken has almost no flavor whatsoever. It's definitely not cooked with any seasoning at all. And they cut the chicken and big chunks which is awful for a sandwich. If you're gonna make a sandwich with chicken, then slice it into long planks like you with a turkey at Thanksgiving dinner. The chicken completely overrode any other flavors. They were nonexistent. There might've been two or three pieces of apple. I don't think I ever tasted date. The sandwich is poorly designed and put together and it just falls apart, so there's no way to eat it properly. And because of the way it's so light on ingredients you don't taste any of those flavors in most of the bites. A sandwich like that you should taste those flavors in every single bite. Wife had the egg salad which sounded awesome and boy was it not. There's nothing wrong with it. But there's nothing special about it either. And it's $17? How? Again I don't have a problem paying for a great avocado, egg salad sandwich. But it better be really good. Nothing here is good. I know like this sounds like I'm concerned about how much it cost, but I'm not. I'm concerned about how much it cost and not being good. If you wanna charge these prices then you need to hire a much better chef who specializes in wonderful sandwiches

Ok. First off. The lines... for Saturday lunch we waited 1.5 hrs to order and 45 minutes to get the food. What a doozy. I'd only come back during non prime hours. The cocktails were good but all pre-made and poured from a pitcher in the fridge. Ask of our sandwiches were delicious. Idk if it was worth the wait hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The property was beautiful. Lots of picnic tables. Plenty of parking in gravel lot across the street. They do have yard games you can borrow

Delicious food. Beautiful drink options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. You order and wait for your food to be called. Picnic benches are available right in the patio of the kitchen and out on the fields of the farm. Great place for families with kids and dogs.

The Farm Kitchen is located at the Farm in South Mountain in Phoenix not far from The Phoenix Zoo and the Botanical Garden. You park across the street from The Farm and the restaurant is only steps away. This is a casual place that serves mostly basic salads and basic cold sandwiches. They also offer some dry goods for sale and fresh baked cookies. You order at the counter, pay and take a rustic table outside, your number is called and you pick up your food from the pick up window. I tried a pecan turkey Waldorf salad ($12.95) The turkey was moist and flavorful and the greens were fresh. I liked the spicy creamy jalapeño dressing that was a little different. They also give you a big chilled metal bowl for your salad. My husband tried a sandwich called The Italian ($12.95). It was filled with thickly cut Italian meats and had a few other things but didn't have cheese. He said the rustic bread was tasty, the meats were not as good as from an Italian restaurant but were still good. I'd give a 3.5.....everything was good. Nothing blew us away...Just solid good in a nice back yard or picnic type of environment.

This casual grab and go lunch spot would be such a good day date! You pick your salad, soup, sandwich, etc. and they pack a picnic basket for you to take to the picnic tables or bring a blanket and you can sit in the grassy area. I didn't eat here but I heard the soups were really good. Would love to come back and try it!

Im only giving 3 stars because the food is good, 40 bucks for 2 salads and 1 sandwich and a piece of carrot cake seems steep.

Apparently they make their chips and salsa in house, and I think it's pretty good. The salsa got some spice to it. The service was alright, so no complaints on that. The noise level wasn't bad, and it didn't take them long to make the food. The prices are, of course, high, but ts a golf course restaurant so that's to be expected. This place could be alright for lunch after golfing or whatever, but I'm gonna avoid it. Also, don't order the fries unless you wanna be disappointed

Well, it was awesome - seated immediately, even though it was fairly busy and had our table server Izzy quickly there to ask if we wanted water and orders for other drinks - we went with Cider Corps Mango Foxtrot, as we always often do - such a good cider and this is on draught here also. Music was a little loud as many people talking loudly to hear but it wasn't too bad - but noticeable! I ordered the Perfect Grilled Cheese and sweet potato fries, which were so good. The bread was like a fruit bread - actually its a spiced pear bread - which is delicious! The wife got the Chicken Club and sweet potato fries, also stating it was one of the nicest sandwiches she has had in a while. We swapped our sandwich halves to get a taste of each and we both rolled our eyes in delight - both were fresh , very tasty and not over-stuffed, making them easier to eat! We will definitely be back as its a close drive to get here.. Love it!

2/28/26: it was disappointing eating lunch at The Farm. Years ago we had eaten at Quiessence and…read morehad a lovely time. Wanting to try another of their restaurants before the ungodly heat arrived, we decided to stop in for lunch. Parking: can be a bit nerve wracking, especially parking in the dirt lots east of the place. You have to walk across 32nd St & if you know Phoenix drivers, this can be dangerous. There is a pedestrian light now, though, so that helps -- but oddly enough, there's no "walk" signage. It's merely a blinking yellow light for north- sound-bound traffic so you have to pray to the universe drivers are paying attention & actually stop for you. Ordering: a bit odd. The main door we went in was more the middle door that didn't really take you to the beginning. There's a drink station then the food station. We skedaddled to the right of the main doors for the drink order, only to discover there's another door that people walk through to place orders. So we joggled w/ another customer trying to figure out who was there first. It honestly felt like a school cafeteria, a bit chaotic, as well as cramped. The patio was pretty large & well shaded, but it was also full -- and this particular day also the ONLY SHADE. We were left to sit at one of their many tables on the grounds with no shade. Food: not worth the $77 we paid. I get it's a working farm, & though we try to support local as much as possible, the food we ordered was not good enough that we will stop by again. The strawberry fields salad was a typical salad, no wow factor there. The Italian sammy was dry. There was a minuscule amount of some kind of dressing on it, but def not enough. Dessert: red velvet whoopie pie was so overpriced it's not funny. If it tasted great, I wouldn't complain...it did not taste great. The pecan pie was abysmal; not enough filling and very bland. Two "specialty" drinks, a salad, a sandwich, & two small desserts, for $77? No, sorry, not again.
