The menu was sparse and the fish and chips had funny after taste - cooked in old oil. We were not impressed.

Brilliant service along with awesome fish and chips. Cod and halibut (and likely salmon and snapper) perfectly cooked in a crispy batter.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great all-round value. Our favorite eating place on the North Shore.

Came here to celebrate my anniversary as won a gift card to use. The restaurant is located on the…read moreground floor of the Seaside Hotel in North Vancouver and has two entrances - one from the street and another through the hotel. My boyfriend and I were in a seafood mood and ordered the following: Seafood Tower: A showstopper. Beautifully presented, overflowing with fresh oysters, chilled prawns, lobster rolls, caviche, and tuna tartar. Everything tasted fresh and ocean-sweet but the lobster rolls buns were getting wet and soggy from the plate to ice condensation - an oversight on presentation logistics. Wagyu Carpaccio: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The wagyu was sliced paper thin and had that rich, buttery texture you hope for. The shaved truffle garnishe added just enough flavour without overshadowing the beef. Served with a few pieces of sourdough bread, it was one of my favourites. Roasted Chicken: I know--ordering chicken at a seafood-forward spot felt risky, but it ended up being one of the surprise standouts. Perfectly roasted with crispy skin and juicy, flavorful meat. It was served with a zesty sauce and roasted vegetables and really homey and tasty. Scallops Risotto: Creamy, aromatic, and cooked to that ideal al dente bite. The scallops were seared beautifully--golden on the outside and tender inside. Service was warm and attentive, and the coastal-chic atmosphere made the whole experience feel relaxed but still special. If you're anywhere near the area, Seaside Provisions is worth a visit especially since they have a Happy Hour.

Also tried the chocolate dessert , it was a kind of rich chocolate mousse with berry sauce and a shell of hardened chocolate. Very good but a little pricy for what it is.

Quick, friendly service for both restaurant and take-out, with an open, busy, efficient and very clean kitchen greeting patrons on entry - a really good sign! The restaurant itself is bright, well-maintained - not fancy, but need not be, the food speaks for itself - and again, very clean. This restaurant is usually busy and just renovated to include a previous storage area within the restaurant. Not only is the food great but also excellent value.

Unfortunately, it was an epic fail because we were left with dark, very oily remnants of what should've resembled fries. The fish was substandard as well. The batter wasn't its usual crispy self and a few mouthfuls of the fish were not as expected, leaving an off taste. On a positive note, the service was as it always is, excellent. She was courteous, efficient and anticipated our needs. Prices being as they are these days it's important to keep the patrons coming back. We realize it's a difficult go for all the restaurants and service related industries but if your customers aren't happy, they may not be moved to write a review.....but the end result is that they will not come back and maybe in the worst case scenario they'll tell two friends, who will tell two friends and so on and so on....

The hostess wasn't the friendliest and we did wait a bit before being greeted by anyone, but our server was great. She was enthusiastic and even brought us extra napkins because some of the dishes we ordered were messy. After sitting down we were given complimentary chips and salsa. Every dish is made fresh to order. Tacos: comes on a plate of 3. Out of all 4 dishes we ordered, this was my least favourite. It was still tasty, but nothing special. Barbacoa: everyone at the table enjoyed this dish the most. The beef brisket was so tender. It came with 5 warm corn tortillas. Shrimp taquitos: nice and crispy corn tortillas, we liked the shrimp filling. I also really liked the guac on top, it tasted so fresh. Enchiladas de pollo: the cheese and sour cream made the dish really creamy and satisfying. We also enjoyed the rice & black beans that came with it.

I sat at the bar, service was attentive and I enjoyed my chat with the bartender. As I was just wanting something small I settled on the sopes and was pleased with my choice, well plated and nice flavour combinations. The jalapeño margarita was ok but I've had better. There were some interesting and seemingly tasty items on the menu I'd like to come back and try sometime. Will probably be back when in the area again.
