The Cliff House was exactly what we needed for a light lunch after exploring Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. It's nicer than the other dining options in the park and has several options perfect for vegetarians. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival in the inside dining room. (Outside seating next to the park is available too. Service was fast and friendly. My wife and I shared the Quinoa Salad with the salmon on the side (She eats fish and I'm a vegetarian.) For what it was, it was fresh and plentiful. I'd say for a salad that had "quinoa" as the first word in the name, there wasn't a whole lot of quinoa in it...it was more of a light addition to the main greens and arugula base. I would have liked the quinoa to have a more more significant presence. Despite that it tasted good and my wife enjoyed the salmon. There are a few other vegetarian options on the menu including a Blistered Brussels Sprouts salad, an option to have their "Butter Chicken" dish with paneer instead of chicken, a house made black bean and corn patty for their burger, and a rice bowl. All are helpfully labeled on the menu (plus gluten free options) so you know right away if you have one of those diets that you are not a second class citizen. If you're looking for a nicer, sit-down dining experience while visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge, you won't go wrong here.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting the Capilano Suspension Bridges. They had gluten free options and vegetarian options, unlike the quick service spots. I ordered the salmon. My daughter had a veggie burger. I was impressed with the quality for a tourist attraction. Even though it was sit down, we were in and out within 20 minutes!

I am sure if we had a warm weather we would have sat outside and enjoyed the amazing view but it was cold. So we sat inside and I am glad we did as it was warm. The restaurant is very humble from inside. So as we sat down my mom wanted to use the bathroom. So here we go we put the jackets again as the bathrooms are outside. They were so nice as the workers let us go from the side door and I left all my stuff on the seats. Came back and we did the order. I got the burger in gluten free bun and got the salad instead of the fries. My mom got the salmon. The food came out pretty fast so I was kinda worried of the quality to be honest. My gluten free bread was bad with green stuff growing on it lol. I let the manager know and he apologised and took it back. They made me new one right away. He insisted of taking it off the check as I was refusing but he did take it off. My mom who is more picky than me finished all of her plate so yes it's this good. My burger was so so so good that I would have ordered another one if u can eat it. So yes next time I will be heading there right away for food. Then we ordered the lava cake and it's delicious . So special thank you to the manager and everyone who works there. Enjoy it and let me know what you think..

A beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous location. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. My meal was super delicious, I was actually surprised at the quality of it.

I was a little hesitant eating at the park as sometimes food can be overpriced inside a park... but boy was I wrong. The seafood chowder was soooo delicious and really hit the spot on a rainy day. The fish and chips were also very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The fries were really thick and delicious. The only downside is that they don't have a restroom inside the restaurant and you have to walk outside. It was only a problem for us because it was raining

The staff were all very helpful and polite. Our food was served just right on time and it was delicious.

An atmospheric river crept in while my friend and I were visiting the park driving us to seek shelter from the rain and wind. We found ourselves unexpectedly at The Cliff House and was instantly charmed with the pleasant fire. The servers were just as bright as the restaurant - they were cheery and pleasant frequently checking in on us though at one point they disappeared for about thirty minutes. I am not sure what happened there. Since we were there to relax I wasn't bothered but it was interesting everyone had left except for one bartender. The majority of the drinks were incredible. The Empress Delight and the Coco Rita were my two favorites. By the descriptions I was expecting something super sweet but instead I found very balanced drinks that were refreshing and delicious. Each cocktail is served as a double so keep that in mind because more traditional cocktails came across super boozy and was a bit much! But the specialty cocktails on their menu was excellent. I would highly recommend stopping over here.

The Cliff House probably one of the best restaurants in the area, offers a great view of scenery whether it's inside or outside. I ordered the Seafood Clamcowder and waited less than 5 minutes for the food. The food was very great, probably the best Clamcowder I've had so far.

Fantastic burger! Fries were well seasoned. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.

Wow! I honestly was not expecting this caliber of food here. Anytime I've been to some sort of "amusement park" the food there is TERRIBLE. But that was not the case here! Service was kinda slow. And waters we never refilled. But the food was so good that made up for it. I got the burger and my husband got the Short ribs. His ribs had no bone. It was basically like a thin cut brisket? But the taste was superb. And the meat was SO tender! Wow. My burger was awesome. The meat and everything was melt in your mouth. And the French fries were one of my favorites. Crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Is it weird this was one of the better meals we had in Vancouver!? Haha. Again COMPLETELY unexpected! Oh! We got mulled wine too! My husband and I split one. It was great! Not the best I've EVER had, but definitely something I'd recommend to someone trying to warm up from outside. Very tasty!

Well the food is way over priced for what you get... But then again you are visiting a tourist attraction. We had a flight of beer and a flight of wine. The wine is just ok.... Beer was great. Local breweries. We also had a burger and fries. I liked the fries better then the burger. I would like it better if you could order your burger rare for sure. But you are not allowed to order it unless it is well done.... Just ok.

The food was fine, but with the service that we received here, it's hard for me to understand why this place is rated so highly. When we sat down and ordered, it probably took about 40+ minutes for our food to be served, with no staff checking in with us at any point on their own. It was incredibly difficult to flag someone down to ask about our order too. When we did ask someone about it, they went to check and never followed up with us. After we ate and we wanted to pay, it similarly took a ridiculously long period of time for us to get the check, and then an additional wait to actually pay with our credit card. Now onto the food - the food overall was OK and slightly above average, but it wasn't good enough for me to overlook the bad service from the day. + Chowder: The chowder was pretty standard. It was well made and well seasoned, had a good consistency, and was a solid standard entree. + Burger with fries: The burger was pretty juicy and flavorful. The fries were very well made and incredibly crispy - yum! This was probably my favorite thing I tasted here. + Maple glazed salmon: A bit disappointed with this one -I was expecting a lot more here. The portion was pretty small and the salmon wasn't cooked as well as it could've been. It was a bit on the dry side and seemed overcooked. The vegetables underneath were pretty good, but I wish there was more of it. The price was a bit on the higher side, but not outrageous considering its location in the park. Overall, the food was decent but the service was too slow - if that issue is fixed I would gladly visit again.

Ale Battered Fish & Chips: pacific cod, bridge brewing ale batter, house slaw, rustic fries, lemon tartar sauce ($25).

Nothing terrible regarding the food or service, but the food is severely overpriced for its taste and quality. Usually that is to be expected for restaurants in attraction sites, but even those in Grouse Mountain were more reasonably priced. Pleasant outdoor seating when the weather is nice at least. ----- Cliff House Beef Burger: 7 oz beef patty, double smoked bacon, aged cheddar, caramelized onions, chipotle BBQ sauce, and rustic fries ($25). The burger had a decent amount of toppings, but parts of the beef patty were burnt. Fries were fresh and crispy. ----- Ale Battered Fish & Chips: pacific cod, bridge brewing ale batter, house slaw, rustic fries, lemon tartar sauce ($25). Everything tasted fine, but for the same price as a burger I'd expect more than just two skinny fish sticks. -----

I just had an Original Gimbap and a Vege Gimbap for myself. It was a hot summer's day so I just didn't feel like ordering hot food. Everyone else ordered hot food though. My daughter has been getting into Tonkatsu at Japanese restaurants for awhile now. So when she saw Chicken Katsu on the menu here, she decided to give that a try. It was just OK for her. No comparison to any of the pork Tonkatsu dishes that she's been having at Japanese restaurants. She still ate it all up though and it was a huge portion. Other dishes on the table included Seafood Noodles, Pork Kimchi Stew, Soft Tofu Stew, Fried Chicken, and Kimchi Fried Rice. My one gripe would be that they took a super long time bringing out my daughter's Chicken Katsu. Everyone else had their food for quite awhile but she sat waiting and waiting for her Chicken Katsu. When we asked about it, they said it was coming soon. But that's what they always say when you ask about something that's taking a long time to come, right? Wondering if they actually completely forgot about it and then put in a rush order at the kitchen when we brought it up.

It's over fire on a hotplate/pan with the meat all around and kimchi in the middle. Perfect with rice or on it's on. The Japchae had plenty of beef and veggies. The potato noodles weren't overcooked and was a great consistency. The seafood tofu soup was favorful with clams and mussels. The raw beef was too frozen and needed to sit out longer. However, the flavor was still good, but I don't know if I'd order it again. The service was excellent and attentive.

Make sure you try the lobster bisque as it's one of the meatiest I've had to date; full of that shellfish flavour. The French onion soup is an eye catcher but the broth could use a bit more richness and flavour. Beef bourignon was suggested and I'm glad I took the friendly waitress' recommendation as it was a warm hug on a deep plate. I'd opt to swap for roasted potatoes instead of the mash but the mash does soak up all that delicious stew. The jambalaya is full of different proteins and if you're a fan of that, then I'd make sure to eat this perfectly cooked rice dish. I finished off with a banana bread pudding which was exactly that, banana bread in that bread pudding form; Personally I was hoping for bread pudding that was banana flavoured but it was still ooey gooey goodness. The ambiance has remained the same over the years, a little dark, but the fireplace and the vintage posters are cool. Our server Gary was excellent, Johnny on the spot with all that we were looking for. Their wine and beer is all local, which is a thing these days. My boyfriend and I were in a seafood mood and ordered the following: Seafood Tower: A showstopper. Everything tasted fresh and ocean-sweet but the lobster rolls buns were getting wet and soggy from the plate to ice condensation - an oversight on presentation logistics. Wagyu Carpaccio: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The wagyu was sliced paper thin and had that rich, buttery texture you hope for. The shaved truffle garnishe added just enough flavour without overshadowing the beef. Served with a few pieces of sourdough bread, it was one of my favourites. Roasted Chicken: I know--ordering chicken at a seafood-forward spot felt risky, but it ended up being one of the surprise standouts. Perfectly roasted with crispy skin and juicy, flavorful meat. It was served with a zesty sauce and roasted vegetables and really homey and tasty. Scallops Risotto: Creamy, aromatic, and cooked to that ideal al dente bite. The scallops were seared beautifully--golden on the outside and tender inside.
