C-Lovers Fish & Chips is my "go to" place for fish & chips on the North Shore. This place is one of my favourites, lots of good memories and celebrations here. I've taken guests to eat here and they've loved it too, particularly the Seafood Chowder. It's a crowd pleaser. There's a sign on their door that says they serve 100% Ocean Wise, sustainable seafood. I glimpsed some Cod, Haddock, Halibut, Alaskan Pollock, Oysters, and Salmon on the menu with optional add-ons like prawns, deep fried pickles, or onion rings. Takeout combos are convenient options too. Pro Tip: Broil your takeout in the oven for a few minutes before serving. They're Ocean Wise partners of Vancouver Aquarium, so when you eat here you know you're supporting sustainable catch or farmed fish - no overfishing. C-You Next Time, C-Lovers!

I honestly cannot understand why it took me so long to go this place. On the North Shore there is a surprising lack of fish and chips that are not on the rather expensive side. As soon as I stepped in the door I knew I was going to like it. I grew up in Steveston, Richmond BC, Canada and it reminded me of a few places down there. A clientele which seems dot always know the names of the servers. It was a very comfortable and pleasant place to be. I had the salmon and chips and was very impressed. I'm rather picky when it comes to fries and C Lovers just nails it. They are cripsy, flavourful and they give you a huge squeeze bottle of ketchup and tartar sauce instead of tiny little packets. Service was quick and it was obvious this was not food which had been remade and warmed up after the fact. This was my first time here and it will most certainly not be the last time either.

Had lunch there today in north vancouver , halibut and chips I was craving The best ever ! They put Trolls to shame in horseshoe bay, good on you c lovers. It is not usual for a restaurant after so many years to maintain the QUALITY. But they do. And for that reason I recommend them. The chips were hot, the fish excellent, fresh, and non greasy. Special thank you to the cooks in the kitchen around 2.30 pm and a thank you to my server who also was on top of it all.

This is the fish

All you can eat fish and chips is a joke it's all can eat batter you need a magnifying glass to see the fish This used to be a great place to eat I talked to the manager he said that it's head office that sends it the fish and they are sending little pieces of fish I want be going to this restaurant again They are scrimping on the fish I'd rather pay more money and get real fish I am insulin dependent I have to inject the right amount of insulin 15 minutes before eating. And fish is no carbs so I-ordered all you can eat and gave myself 16 units of fast insulin but it was all batter and that put me over on my carb intake and my blood sugar went and spiked. I then had to correct my blood sugar and inject more fast acting insulin to correct my diabetes

All you can eat

All you can eat yes please food was good always fresh always crispy chips and fish. Good location service is great. Very clean in the restaurant.

The go to place for AYCE Fish & Chips with bottomless pop. Service is friendly... you don't have to have fish & chips refill, you can just choose fish for your refill. Great value & the fish is good. They used pollock, meat is firm. Batter is light & not greasy. A good meal

I consider myself a fish and chips aficionado and I must say C-Lovers offers some of the best around. Our halibut was delicious, perfectly fried and melted in our mouths. The fries were crisp and the tartar sauce was just how I like it. I appreciated being offered malt vinegar as well. The portions were quite large- my partner and I ordered a 2 piece and split it and my mom ordered a lighter fare which was also quite large. The North van location was set back from the street but seemed clean and service was friendly and quick.

The menu, and the kitchen, the first things you see once you enter.

This is one good place for some fried fish! I remember hearing, and trying these guys acouple years back at a booth at the PNE. I thought it was good there, and then I got to try it at one of their many locations around town, and this is way better than there frying truck at the fair! Hidden along Marine Drive in North Vancouver behind the Church's Chicken, this place is not cheap, and the day I was there, the food didn't even come out fast, but I will say it was fresh for freshly fried and hot out of the fryer! We did not stay to eat, but noticed that many were here for a sit in lunch, and looking up at the chalkboard menu, they were probably here for the "All you can eat" Fish & Chips for $10.99. I do not know how mucn you can eat of this stuff, really, but if you can eat, I guess this is a deal. We had two pieces of regular Fish and Chips, with a side of coleslaw, and as with any place you do take out for this stuff, it's wrapped in the classic paper, then newspaper. The fish was nice and tender, and they didn't over batter the fish, like some places. I probably will come again if I'm craving a greasy meal.

The restaurant is located on the…read moreground floor of the Seaside Hotel in North Vancouver and has two entrances - one from the street and another through the hotel. My boyfriend and I were in a seafood mood and ordered the following: Seafood Tower: A showstopper. Beautifully presented, overflowing with fresh oysters, chilled prawns, lobster rolls, caviche, and tuna tartar. Everything tasted fresh and ocean-sweet but the lobster rolls buns were getting wet and soggy from the plate to ice condensation - an oversight on presentation logistics. Wagyu Carpaccio: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The wagyu was sliced paper thin and had that rich, buttery texture you hope for. The shaved truffle garnishe added just enough flavour without overshadowing the beef. Served with a few pieces of sourdough bread, it was one of my favourites. Roasted Chicken: I know--ordering chicken at a seafood-forward spot felt risky, but it ended up being one of the surprise standouts. Perfectly roasted with crispy skin and juicy, flavorful meat. It was served with a zesty sauce and roasted vegetables and really homey and tasty. Scallops Risotto: Creamy, aromatic, and cooked to that ideal al dente bite. The scallops were seared beautifully--golden on the outside and tender inside. Service was warm and attentive, and the coastal-chic atmosphere made the whole experience feel relaxed but still special. If you're anywhere near the area, Seaside Provisions is worth a visit especially since they have a Happy Hour.

Had reservations for dinner Wednesday night and arrived early to enjoy happy hour before sitting…read more We were seated right away and informed that we could order happy hour anywhere in the restaurant which was pretty cool. The happy hour menu offered a few drink specials along with starters. The food listed was regular price, while a handful of their cocktails were discounted a few dollars. We decided to forgo happy hour and skip straight to dinner since. We started with the Dirty Jane and Hotel Georgia from the bar. We both really enjoyed the Hotel Georgia. The orange blossom water gave it a delightful flavor that danced across my tongue and left me eager to taste more. The Dirty Jane wasn't quite our flavor palate, but worth a try for its uniqueness. After receiving our drinks Lauren took our dinner order. We started with the frites and beet salad. The beet salad was beautiful and much larger than we anticipated with beautiful slices of beet, pickled shaved carrots, and whipped goat cheese balls. The frites were crisp and golden on the outside and soft on the inside. Shaved Parmesan cheese blanked the frites and a miso dipping sauce added dipable flavor. From there we each ordered the fall prix fixe menu which boasted a starter, a main dish, and a desert for $39.00 which was a total steal! There was also the option to add a wine paring onto the meal for $39.90. They were mainly white whines so I skipped the pairing and opted for a second cocktail. My prize fixe started out with the albacore tuna that arrived seared with a kimchi vegetable display on top. It was unique, flavorful, and fun! For dinner I enjoyed the pad Thai while my husband had the New York steak. He thoroughly enjoyed his meat, vegetables, and potatoes even saying that the outer was the best tasting baby food he's ever had. He nearly licked the plate! The pad Thai was unique- I wouldn't say it was a typical pad Thai dish for me it my husband who has spent a lot of time in Thailand, but it was flavorful and yummy. For desert we each had the vanilla gelato. It as another very unique dish that sent my tastebuds into a frenzy as they worked to piece the flavors together. Vanilla gelato was topped with a chunk of chocolate, sea salt, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. It was a fun ending. Wrapping up our meals my husband ordered the high mountain woody which was probably the best drink of the four we tried. Very unique and fun! I ended my night with the full Nelson which was delicious but a tad bitter. It does have whiskey bitters in it, which I appreciate just didn't overly love. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back to try more items from the menu. The restaurant was not very crowded, but might fill more on the weekend. If you are in the neighborhood I highly recommend stopping by to give your tastebuds a treat! Parking is in the lot beside the restaurant or on the street. After dinner you can mosey a street over to peruse the darling main street shops.
