We were bringing the kids here to walk around and do a little shopping, but wanted to eat a little something first. I saw that they had fried oysters here, so we all came here. I ordered the Breaded Oysters, my cousin got the Cod and Chips Lunch Special, and her kids got the Clams and a side of Fries. Everyone enjoyed and finished their lunch. The fried oysters were really good. They only thing that wasn't too great eas the fries; we'd rather have them crispy. Service was very friendly.

Solid 3 stars. Hard to hear in here. The table for 6 in the middle gets used for parties of 2 and 4, and it was too loud for my liking. Food was okay. Salmon was a little dry.

The food and service was great! The calamari was very tender! The ambience was low key and chill

We were on Grandville island and tried out Tony's Fish and oyster café. We got the 1 piece halibut with yam fries and 1 piece salmon with onion rings. I found that the salmon fish was not fully battered evenly, and that the salmon was quite dry. For the price that you pay here, I was expecting a premium high quality fish! I liked the halibut and this was nice and crispy. The onion rigs and yam fries were nice and crispy and I did like how they gave 2 sauces each and this was enough for the fish and chips. The restaurant has limited seating, but we didn't have to wait long for a spot!

this place is tiny tiny. it isn't fancy inside by any means, but there is a cute mural with sea creatures painted on it towards the front. my friend and i were crammed into a corner with a tiny table. that isn't a complaint, though -- it was jam-packed and busy, which i always take as a good sign! the woman that helped us was wonderful, too. we decided to split some oysters and a seafood sampler for two to maximise what we got to try. the menu itself is pretty simple, but with this kind of food it doesn't need to be complicated. our sampler was fried to perfection: crispy, not overly greasy, even, and well-seasoned. it was sooo good and the portion was massive; we couldn't even finish all of it and we're big time eaters. overall, if you're over in granville and looking for warm and hearty seafood, this is the one. i'll be back for sure.

Awesome meal here. Limited number of seats but didn't have to wait too long. Shared a couple lunch specials and clams, and were quite satisfied for 3 adults and one 8 year old. The clam chowder was amazing. I wanted 10 more bowls of it. Honestly, I don't remember having a better clam chowder, ever. Top notch! Cod fish was delicious as was the slaw. Fries were just okay, that's really the only knock. We still ate them but if those were anywhere like the fish and chowder this place would be perfect. Great meal, would dine again!

We stopped by Tony's Fish & Oyster Cafe for a quick and simple dinner before heading to The Improv Centre on Granville Island. My husbandand I shared a Breaded Oyster Platter for our dinner. The oysters were plump, crispy, hot and delish! This restaurant is right next door to The Improv Centre so it's an excellent choice for dinner if you've got a show to go to afterwards! We stopped in to grab a bite before heading back after a full day at the market and it was completely packed. It is a small place, with about 20 seats capacity but it was jammed. We waited at the stool tables, the staff took our order for beverages until a table opened up. The Granville Island Ale was pretty good. The menu was not extensive but had a good selection of seafood options. I ordered the Tiger Prawn Platter with fries and coleslaw. The food was good, shrimp slightly over cooked and overpriced but I enjoyed my plate.

It was a super cute restaurant but we just wanted to have fish so we got a bowl of mussels and shared between 4 of us. They were done in a white wine sauce with tomato and onion- so good!

We stopped in here for lunch while at Granville Market. We were seated right away and our server was very efficient and quick. We tried the clam chowder which had a nice peppery flavor. The fried cod was fresh and flaky and went well with the tarter sauce and coleslaw. The fries were warm and crispy. Check it out for a nice easy meal!

My partner suggested this spot after reading some reviews online, it's a small family friendly joint! The restaurant gets quite busy during lunch, I would suggest plan accordingly and come after the lunch rush. The restaurant holds about 20 people or less, the ambiance is that of a fish spot with seafood art on the walls. Since this was our first stop in Granville Island and wanted to try and see everything, we decided to share the clam chowder and the infamous fish and Chips! Great customer service, daughter was our server, mother washing dishes very humble people. If you are in a hurry, I wouldn't suggest coming here, everything is made fresh to order so it'll take a min. The food was hot and absolutely delicious, one of the best fish and chips around!

Two piece cod and a salmon tacone. The cod was overcooked. The tacone was good. Fries were crispy and unevenly fried. Meaning some pieces were burnt a little. Still acceptable tho. It is a gorgeous city with a rich history and some of the nicest people we've ever encountered. So when we booked a Canadian Rail Vacations trip that originated in Vancouver, we were thrilled. And one place we had to revisit was the Beach Avenue Bar and Grill (BA). We had been there last July on Canada Day and had a blast with the Staff. Catching up with them on this trip was something we were looking forward to. When we arrived around 645p, we recognized most of the Staff and Manager/Bartender. It was one of those "where do we know these guys from" kinda moments. When we spoke to Vadym (Manager/Bartender) he actually remembered what we ordered in July '25! That was nothing short of amazing! And the Poly Sci Major aka Jasmine was graduating that week. Sadly, Rose was off that night. Vadym took our drink & food orders as we caught up like old friends - it's that kind of place. We did get a laugh when he asked "same as last year?" The Staff here is so friendly, the view spectacular, and the location scores a 10 for people & boat watching. We had a calamari app, fried chicken sandwich and the Beach House salad with chicken. The calamari was delicious - very crispy with lots of side veggies. The chicken sandwich was thick, crispy and the slaw worked great with it - much better than the usual lettuce & tomato. The salad was fresh with excellent greens (a biggie for us) and had lots of chicken. (See the pics). Vadym kept our drinks and waters full as we ate and laughed. We ended up staying at BA until just before closing. As with last time, the food and drinks were excellent and a good value. The Staff was the true "icing on the cake" and apologies to anyone we left out of this review but had laughs with. We would highly recommend the Beach Avenue Bar & Grill. It's an easy walk from the Fairmont and a great view. Congratulations to Jasmine on her graduation and many THANKS to her, Vadym, and the Staff for another great visit. See you again soon..
