    Grilled to perfection every time!

Plenty of Portuguese places in Brampton - but nothing like this! Leao D'ouro has been our favorite's since a couple of different friends turned us onto it. Food is always a step up from the rest. The servers are very very sweet and attentive. They even have a resident mixologist - Paulo always concocts something special for my girlfriend.

I was searching authentic Portuguese restaurant in Mississauga. This is definitely the one. My wife and I ordered the seafood rice for 2. OMG! that portion is actually for 4 people. All seafood takes delicious. The decoration and environment of the restaurant is nice as well. Good for family gathering, wedding anniversary and celebration of other big milestones in your life.

It's hard to earn 5 stars from me, the food has to be amazing, this place deserved it. Not only the food, the service and the atmosphere....all great. From the time we arrived for dinner, service was amazing, considering the place was busy. They apologized to us for us waiting...we knew it was busy. We had their calamari as an app, the Cod Leao D'ouro, the Bitoque and the cubed pork dish. Everything was perfect. For dessert, we had the Flan and the Creme Brûlée. Had to be the best flan I've had outside of Portugal, flawless.

Being someone who dines here frequently I tend to forget to notice the great quality in detailing they put into not only their desserts but in all their meals. When it comes to their sweets everything is simply amazing and done in house. Their chocolate cake is heavenly, simply a must! Pair it with a nice glass of Portuguese vino, you won't be disappointed!

Surprisingly busy for a Sunday lunch hour! We were asked if we had reservations at least twice.

***TIP: No Lunch Menu on Sundays. Best to come with a group of at least 2+ people and share or else you are paying $20+pp without wine/dessert!*** White table cloth + wine glasses on table type of place. No Mario's BBQ here, although atmosphere is neither pretentious nor is the waitstaff snobby. For any of you who have dined at Aioli, I'd say that this place is the Portuguese version of the Italian standby in Mississauga! Seems quite authentic as the majority of the diners were Portuguese and came with their families. I haven't been here in almost a decade, but nice to see that the food is still good & so is the service. Nice place to go out for dinner to celebrate a special occasion OR if you're Portuguese, take your family there for a traditional Sunday lunch and spend a coupla hours eating, drinking wine, catching up, & watching the soccer game on tv. We ordered the Bacalau a Bras (sorta like an omelette with cod fish & shoestring potatoes) & Stuffed Chicken Breast (w/ raisins/dried figs). Both mains were ~$20 and chicken was really good! The Bacalau was good too, but quite traditional, so if you don't feel like eating an omelette, I'd order something else. It would've been better for sharing. Again, nice Portuguese sitdown, good service, & great food at decent prices!

Went tonight with a friend and her husband. Made a reservation for 3. The restaurant is cute, located on Dundas in a building by itself. Ample parking. Would be a nice first date place. The server was friendly. House wine which was quite good was $6.95 by glass. They have a substantial wine list. The food was great. Really liked the complementary tray of cheese, olives and bruschetta. I ordered Carne de Porco a Alentejana which is marinated cubes of pork, pan seared with clams, shrimp, white wine, garlic and coriander which was $22. Very very good. It comes covered in potatoes which were also very good. The portions were great. Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere which was relaxed. It was a friday night with about 80% of the restaurant full and they weren't rushing anyone. Will be back :) Ohhh and it has Wi-Fi!! Awwwwesome!!

We stopped in here on a whim early evening Saturday. It's not casual place but they graciously welcomed us even though we were dressed for a patio. We tried the grilled veggies ctopus and shredded codfish with a salad to start which was all very tasty. Surpringsly mellow flavours ate th hits of flavourful marinated tomatoes and olives and the Portuguese corn bread was delicious.

There was plenty of wait staff on site but communication between staff was quite poor. No one ever came by to see if we needed anything or to ask if we wanted additional drinks or the like. So we found ourselves having to constantly hail wait staff. A large portion of the weekend buffet was seafood. You would expect that when serving lobster and crab the tableware would include for seafood crackers. This is not the case. I asked for seafood crackers from two different wait staff and was advised they didn't have any. So I went to the matre d' and asked, she went into the back and brought some out for our table. If you serving lobster and crab, the restaurant should either provide crackers or pre- cut the claws ready to eat. With regard to the food, I would have thought they would have served some rolls or bread but we had to ask for this special. As well, most all the food was cold. So all in all, I expected more but a 3 star rating is about all I would give.

Not sure who decided that was a good idea. Interesting because they did come around to tell us about their wine options. The quantity and variety of the buffet was fine, efficiency quite good and wait staff were all kind, however the quality of the offerings was lacking. I would put the actual food part of the meal in the mediocre category.

I originally stopped by the plaza to pick up bubble tea from another unit and ended up discovering this amazing little restaurant serving fresh, hot food. It was Friday after 4PM, and the selection was fantastic--octopus dishes, rice, potatoes, rissóis, fish patties, fresh pork rinds, desserts, and more. I picked up the pork rinds, shrimp rissóis, and a fish patty, and every single item was delicious. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The rissóis were especially good--crispy outside with a flavorful filling. There's also a Portuguese shop right next door, which made the visit even better. I found Terra Nostra Azores butter, cheese, Portuguese muffins, sardines, olives, and plenty of other imported goodies. Definitely a hidden gem. I'll be back regularly--this is the kind of place you want to keep coming back to.

However, I decided to finally come here as my usual Portuguese chicken joints' quality have kinda gone downhill. Since this was my first time ordering, I wanted to call and make sure how much in advance I had to order and whether or not they had Bacalau. The man who I spoke to was very nice and said that I should give 30mins notice and that they did have Bacalau. A coupla hours later, when I placed my phone order...they didn't have any bacalau. So I had to order a side salad to sorta puff up the portion. Chicken was still being prepared by the time I arrived for pick-up. Rice/Parisienne potato sides are in chafing trays and it wasn't as hot as the freshly prepared chicken. Still good, but just at different temps. Greek Salad that I ordered, last minute, was freshly prepared, crispy, had all the components. Medium size served 2 large portions! I'd definitely come back again, but if I wanted a specific, non-chicken dish, I'll definitely clarify whether or not they had it!

It's cafeteria style, but because of how fast they sell, nothing seems to sit and the food is consistently on a fresh rotation. I got the 1/4 chicken meal with two sides, potatoes & veggies and the flavors were on point. 10/10. I also bought a beef puff, which was just okay imo but it seemed to be sitting for a while so it wasn't as fresh. They give you very generous portions for the plates. No seating is available inside but they have 3 tables that can fit 2-3 people right outside their front door. Seems to be extremely popular with locals of all backgrounds and I can see why!
