I'm going to slightly stretch and say 4 star because I think it deserves more than the Yelp 3 star based on our first visit. Yes, it's a dark older tavern type place filled oddly with sports memorabilia instead of an expected nautical vibe give the name. It looks like there's a smaller area for maybe minors/family but the bigger section is more of sports bar with like a doz. TV's. The young gals at the bar were friendly greeting patrons as they walked in, even us unlike the mostly locals. This is the only place near Purdy bridge that serves all 3 meals daily. We were wanting to try seafood since the fish & oysters were fresh. I had the fish & chips $16 and hubby had seafood platter $22. Our server very friendly and helpful given our first visit and asking about the hard ciders on tap, she gave us a sample. We enjoyed the moon berry and peach-apple ciders. Food came fast and hot which much appreciated. The servings were smaller than expected honestly for price at tavern like place but everything was cooked properly. Seafood wasn't over fried. Fish, oysters still had moisture. Clams and shrimp pretty good too. Fries are skinny and crispy. House made tarter great. Slaw/side salad fine. I have to say Sunday breakfast here is my all time favorite! The service is great, the people are always so friendly, the food is so filling and tasty (the French toast is beyond good), and the easy going charm is relaxing. I've never had a bad experience here. The food is recently priced, the portions aren't out of control, and neither are the prices. We are from the south and I will say, that this is a great place to get some BBQ. The brown gravy is delicious. Their baked beans are some of the best I've ever had. Their BBQ meat falls off the bone, AND they serve their bbq sauce warm. Game changer. Wings are amazing. Beer is well priced. Staff is experienced and friendly. My friend Shirley and I frequent this place for Seahawk football games and karaoke on Friday nights with Jeremy. Great food, friendly staff, super easy to find with the large white arrow sticking out like the Space Needle of Purdy. This is a classic dive bar kept in tip top shape. Easy parking. There is nothing I would change about this place. Everyone I have brought here says the same thing. Great food, friendly service.. There is also plenty of room to sit and bathrooms are super easy to access. Try their steaks, hamburgers, Fish night with excellent fries and clam chowder. I am not a big drinker, but their hard apple cider was declicious and very affordable. read more

My husband and I along with my daughter and a bunch of her soccer team and parents stopped in here for an early dinner after a game. We were able to be seated right away in kind of a room off of the main bar area. Our server was really nice and she was very helpful. We were a big group so it took a minute to get thru drink orders. She brought out a water pitchers and a couple pitchers of Shirley temples so that was really helpful as the girls could pour their own refills. The server took our food order and kept checking back for drink refills. We ordered a bunch of different items off of their food menu. There wasn't really anything that stuck out as amazing as far as the food went. It's your basic bar and pub food. They had sandwiches, salads, appetizers, pizza options. At the end the server just split the check 7 ways and we called it good. We would stop in here again if we are back in town. It's nothing to write home about but it's fine. They were able to accommodate a big party and we all left full and happy. read more

I ordered the Porky with BBQ sauce on it. Same thing I ordered before, and it's been great. This time, I got a burger with no BBQ sauce and no bacon. Pointed it out to the bartender, and she lifts the bun apart with her bare hand to check. She takes it back and comes back to explain the cook thought it would get sloppy, so he chose to cook it in instead of put it on. WTH???? Who has ever asked for a burger with an extra condiment and meant they wanted it cooked in???? I wanted an extra CONDIMENT not INGREDIENT. She brings back a burger with bacon on it and a small amount of BBQ sauce (I think). I bit into it, COLD, and realized it's the same bun with the toothpick hole still in it that she pulled apart with her hands to check it. Immediately lost my appetite. This place reminds me of some of the rural bars we hung out in during the 70s. The food is basic bar food with a decent bacon burger or cod & chips. The old bar here is wonderful & reminds me of some of the bars in Montana on the way to Sturgis. I laughed when I saw the signs on the restrooms. The town it's in is Purdy and the sign reflects ot for the ladies an close to the town of Burley which is reflected on the men's restroom sign. It's very clever. As a bar, for beer and drinks, I think this is a nice place. But for the purpose of going for breakfast, I can't say the same. If you're going there for the sole purpose of beer and drinks, I would say probably 5 stars. If you're going there for breakfast I would only give it 4 stars. My rating of 4 stars is based on the breakfast service which includes: the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the restaurant, quality of the food and the wait time for the food on a Saturday morning that was not overcrowded and an apparent amount of enough staff. Unfortunately my stars is because we literally waited 70 minutes for breakfast from time of order to the time it landed on our table. There was nothing special or unique it was a menu order of the ($12) Seaman's Plunder: eggs sausage hashbrowns and toast. I do not have any special requirements so there was no need for special preparation's to delay our meals. It was a very basic diner breakfast with no complaints as far as the quality temperature or amount of food that we got. If you are going here for drinks, pull tabs and darts I would highly recommend this place! If you're going here for breakfast, I would have a different opinion and say that you should only go if you're willing to wait a LONG period of time. read more

Drove out to the float because I heard they have the best CFS around! About a forty minute trip and I was not upset with the decision! We stopped by on a Sunday around 11:00, they were busy but we easily found a spot at the end of the bar. We were quickly greeted by the staff who took our drink orders as we looked over the menu. We ordered screw drivers and they came out tasting better than I expected. I ordered the chicken fried steak and Jacqui went with the sausage and eggs. The CFS was huge! It could have definitely been shared. The portion was easily double the size of your typical order. It was fork tender and smothered in delicious sausage gravy. We had an enjoyable time and will definitely be back! We watched football and enjoyed above average food and drinks at a reasonable price! read more

For a dive bar its OK/ good. I will say that the drinks are stiff, and the service is friendly. The food though... The cook thought that it was a good idea to put American cheese on a Ruben sandwich. Huge fail. This was the worst Ruben sandwich I've ever had, even counting airport bars. Really disgusting. I would eat it again if you pay me $1000. Not for less. This place has a bar feel to it, though it is open to all ages during the day. The drinks are strong. I've only eaten there once. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was very large and tasty. I added a side salad for my meal but what I received was a bowl of wilting and browning lettuce. It was very unappealing. They could probably add some cucumbers, olives, or tomatoes for a fairly cheap price. The service there is very hit or miss. I've been there 3 times and of those, I've waited more than 5 minutes to be greeted initially. Great location, but some things could be improved upon. read more

I am giving the Float 2 only because the wait staff helped pull the terrible food experience up. I ordered gozzards and mushrooms. Two of my favorite pub foods. I have had both items on visit a year ago. Both were amazing. This time not even close to the previous experience. The gozzards arrived with only 5 gozzards in the basket. $9.99 for 5 gozzards?? Upon consumption there were only 4. Somehow one of the gizzards was actually a boneless chicken wing. I showed the bartender and she replied "you got a bonus. While the flavor was good the serving size was ridiculous. The mushrooms were a disaster over cooked and greasy. And to top it off they dumped all of the fried breading back wash from the fryer basket on top of the mushrooms. Disgusting! Don't think I'll be going back. read more

Went here for lunch yesterday with Hubby. He had been twice before without me. First time he had an awesome burger. Second time a french dip sandwich. On our visit yesterday he had the Cobb Salad. Great size, ample toppings & good garlic bread on the side. I ordered the 10oz sirloin steak medium rare with salad & mashed potatoes. Steak was well done, tough & not seasoned enough. Yoooo this place is wild. I thought I'd slide through for a little mojito and lunch on my way through town. What a mistake. First off. The music was bumpin at 12:00pm, which I had no complaints about, but an elderly couple seemed pretty upset. I ordered gizzards, a family favorite. The were so burnt, chewy and tasted like old oil. We couldn't eat them. They had a special of Mac n cheese bites. I got those for my 1 year old. They also came with black "char" bits on his plate that I can't even begin to explain what they were or what the origin was. My food was a French dip as thin as a day old pancake with some sort of velveeta fake tasting Swiss cheese. I muscled have of that down and decided to try my side salad. WOAH. This was the first warm salad I've ever had. Not the refreshing side homie to my French dip I was expecting. The waitress never came to check on us once. This place is straight disgusting.
