We had our floors done with this store about 2 years ago. The whole process of selecting the carpet and the laminate was smooth and they were very helpful in offering estimates for different options such as "all carpet, all laminate or carpet and laminate." Installation was fast and done within a day. I had a baby on the way so I appreciated that. However, they install and that's it. If parts of your wall are jacked, you are left with having to fix it yourself. That was disappointing as I still have all of these eye sore areas around my stairs since I haven't had a chance to fix it as I am just now coming out of the craziness of having a newborn. One big issue was: for the past 6 months I started stepping into sharp nails and metals under the carpet. Some nails used to install the laminate were also raising to the surface so I cut myself whole waking bare-feet. I have a toddler so that made me feel uneasy. I called the floor store and they promptly sent someone to fix it. I appreciate the fast response but I still feeling at a loss as to why that would happen given than I spent way over 10 grand for this installation. Some things I learned that I wish I knew: The thickness of the carpet matters. Order the extra thick foam that goes underneath it. It is worth it. Have them inspect your house before install and have them go over with you what will be left for you to fix. I would have appreciated the heads up. Apparently the carpet we had before was thicken so our thinner carpet was not tall enough to cover the wall area that was not painted. It is an eye sore. All in all, I appreciate the fact that they promptly came to fix it. It speaks volumes to me. I attached pictures for perspective as the red tape shows you where the nails were. read more

The Floor Store attempted to install damaged and discolored solid wood planks in my home, thankfully I took the week off and stopped the project. The Floor Store told me they checked the second shipment before it arrived at my home. It was the same damaged and discolored product. Now they are saying that they won't be able to install a new project will after Christmas or the New Year. And that I can no longer have the product which I ordered and still have a contract for them to complete. So when they do get around to selling me my second choice I will have to take another week off to make sure they don't try to bait and switch again. In the meantime, I will be walking on unfinished floors for the next month. Not only did I have to cancel my family's Thanksgiving but it looks like Christmas and New Year's Eve are also canceled. read more

Horrible experience, go elsewhere. Probably the best way to keep this long excruciating journey short is to just hit the bullet points. 1. Despite having a "huge sale" on Coretec LVP flooring, we later had multiple companies provide non-sale quotes that beat the Floor Store quote. 2. They lied about 18 month free financing only to be told it was a mistake and it was only 12 months despite still having the 18 month poster in their windows. 3. They lied about checking for a pre-qualification for the financing that was a formality that would not actually run through our credit only to have a credit card show up in our mailbox a week later. 4. Mismeasured the dimensions of the project and made us come to the store with measurements only to be told they still had to comeback to the house to remeasure. Why did we have to waste our time coming into the store? My measurements were accurate and they would have significantly over charged us. 5. Captured multiple invoicing errors. In particular, they were charging me a quantity of 3 at $100 for the squaring of a stair. This only had to be done to one stair. When I asked about this multiple times, they provided no explaination but simply changed the invoice to now show they were charging me $300 for a quantity of one. I could do this work in 30 minutes. 6. They charge labor for material that is not being installed (waste material). These were not the only issues. Don't fall for it, go somewhere else, anywhere else. Not sure how the craftsmanship is as we gave up and went somewhere else. read more

We shopped several tile/floor retailers in the area. We decided on the Floor Store in Concord. We made this decision for 2 reasons. The first is the Floor Store has a Diamond Certified background and the second is the Design/Sales Consultant, Julie G. Julie G. Was amazing. She was personable, knowledgeable, professional and even had a sense of humor. After choosing the tiles we changed a design based on Julie's recommendation. To my surprise, she had in-depth knowledge of the installation process details. Since I have had tiling experience in the past she responded to all my technical questions. She was very knowledgeable of the installation of the floor and tile work. If one is thinking about upgrading or changing floors/tiles we recommend visiting Julie G. She was awesome in assisting us in phase 1 of our bathroom remodeling. I will add comments on workmanship after all the work is completed......about 3-6 weeks. read more

Bought my first house this year! There are some projects that can wait (it's a home built in the 80's and needs a few upgrades) but others were non negotiable. A big thing that needed work right away was the carpet in our Master Bathroom (which up until I saw my house for the first time, never knew was a thing!) So, yeah, that needed to go ASAP. We closed in July on the weekend of the 4th, the Floor Store was having a 30% sale on materials and installation. Having no clue where to start (having been renters up til this year) my boyfriend and I were given the rundown on options, process, styles and what to expect from their awesome sales team. I really wish I remember the name of who we worked with cause he was amazing. He stayed a little bit after closing to help us out and was extremely communicative during the process. Everything from having someone come out to do the measuring to selecting our tile to the team they sent out to do the work was a great experience. We ended up getting a grey blue tile that is part of my grander remodel vision in the future (hooray for YOLO flooring!). But with 30% off it was still in our price range. The installation included tearing up the carpet in one area, removing old grouted tile in another and even flooring around the toilet (they had to lift it and reinstall and it went very smoothly.) 06/18/19 I purchased my Laminated Vinyl Tile floors almost a year ago from the Floor Store. A month after the installation the corner of one of the planks chipped. I contact the Floor Store, who sent out a rep. The rep told me that the chip was caused by my dog (my 40 lb. dog), an the damage was not covered under any of the warranties. When I expressed my displeasure, but I still wanted to get it repaired, they promised to send someone out. Months later, aftwr several calls, another rep came out an said they could replace it an would split the cost of the labor. It has almost been a year and I still have a chip in my floor. No one has come to fix it, an I'm still gonna have to pay. 07/01 On June 19th I was contacted by The Floor Store (TFS). They had seen my Yelp review. After a discussion about my voicemail , TFS wanted to discuss me coming by to sign some paper work, regarding fixing my floors, at no cost. On June 22nd I signed my papers, on the 28th scheduled my floors for July 01. Came home today an it was done. Looks beautiful, an even got some spare floor. read more

We were charged $50 for them to send someone out to take measurements only to find out after the fact they did not sell the hardwood floor we needed, despite the fact they showed us a sample at their concord store. When I called to get a refund I was told that they could not issue a refund because at the time they scheduled the measurement appt they were unaware that the manufacturer no longer sold that floor. This is unacceptable. Following this post, they immediately reached out to me and made it right by issuing a refund. They said they'd follow up w/their staff to prevent this from happening in the future, so I hope they learn from this experience. Raised review from 1 to 3. I wanted to update my review after the Floor Store replaced our flooring for the 3rd time, this time they upgraded our LVP to laminate flooring at no cost to us. The new floor has been installed for a few weeks now and so far there are no signs of past issues. They were able to find laminate flooring that closely resembles the color and style of the LVP we originally chose. Hi Everyone, I have been a customer of the floor store for 11 years. Had 2 rooms carpeted and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom install flooring. We decided to stick with them to have 3 rooms done with far more expensive flooring since it was 2 hallways and a dining room and living room. Since these rooms are more lived in we decided to upgrade our rooms with a more durable laminate flooring. We have been good for about a year and a half. I noticed that we had several chips through out our home. We have only used a swifter duster and bona cleaner( which was recommended to us) my husband and I are alone . We have grandchildren that visit occasionally. We value our home. I called to see if we could have the extra flooring replaced. Originally we bought about two boxes too many. Which was the amount we were told to purchase. We asked if they could come and replace it. It took 3 months to get an inspection on the floors. We were told today that after upgrading to a more durable laminate and 15,000.00$ , that the inspector has determined that we caused the problems. We are accused of dropping things on our own floors and chipping them. So the moral of the story... don't buy expensive flooring, before you test them in the store... because you may be accused of dropping items on your floor. Sadly we will never return. There are 4 planks that need to be replaced. It would have been an easy fix. We were going to have our 3 other rooms redone. We will be looking elsewhere. read more

The whole process of getting new carpet was managed wonderfully by Tarik. My girlfriends and I were unsure on where to even begin but Tarik guided us the entire way. We recently used The Floor Store for replacing our crappy worn carpet with new vinyl plank in our common spaces and master bath. We were immediately impressed by the expertise and professionalism exhibited by J.D. but did our due diligence. Out of 3 quotes from professional flooring installers this store was the best but more importantly JD was much more fluent in specific recommendations for our needs. We were wowed by the fact that we were scheduled for our installation 2 days after our materials were delivered (which only took a few days). Then the team that showed up was so polite and professional and FAST. They expertly removed our baseboard so we didn't need to replace or repaint it and the install looked beautiful! The only snafu was they were just a wee bit short of trim but they were able to return a couple days later and take care of it. They swept and left everything immaculate! In terms of the after care the place that gave us the highest quote tried to scare us and say other stores will add charges afterwards but our price stayed exactly the same. I was having trouble finding a flooring for my home remodel. I visited many options, but The Floor Store in Concord met my needs. I was greeted by Carlos Amaya, who walked me through all my options. I took samples home, and apprised Carlos of my decision. From start to finish, Carlos was helpful and very professional. When the installers arrived and tire out my carpets, they discovered a very uneven subfloor. Carlos called and talked me through what was needed in order for my floors to fit properly. The general manager reached out to me through email and wanted to know more about my issues with their unprofessionalism. She looked into what was going on with my order and told me that I did not receive the discount they were advertising on tv. So does that make their sale a scam? The weirdest part is that she just left it at that and didn't offer to correct the situation or anything. I find that the worst part and is why I don't typically do business with chains like this. We just finished re-flooring our entire home and are thrilled with the results! We put vinyl plank in all our main living areas, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room and new carpet in our bedrooms and on the stairs. We started with Alex in the showroom and he spent time to explain the different flooring types and helped recommend carpets that would resist staining. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Then Lorna came out to measure our home. She was quick and efficient and made recommendations regarding which way to lay the planks, etc. The final quote we received was very competitive (we had other quotes to compare against) and so we decided to move ahead. Alex even worked with us to reduce our cost by recommending a different carpet for our stairs since the first one had a large pattern match. The installation team of Renalto and Cesar worked to install all our vinyl plank in just 3 days (2 days ahead of schedule). They were expert craftsman and a pleasure to have in our home. I called this business in different times and nobody answer my phone calls I tried today and a young girl answer my call I told her about I need a quote for hardwood flooring and she transferred my call to her voice message. They're acting like big corporate office with Human Resources and account payable and purchasing order but they're playing with customers time and patience. Helpers don't waste your time with those people!! They're not reliable and professional at all.
