Definitely feels nostalgic, like visiting a farm stand from 50 years ago. It's quaint, they have lots and lots of picnic tables so I assume you can pack a picnic and enjoy a meal here after visiting the farm stand and animals. Loved the old barn adorned with rusted pieces of farm equipment. Broken shovels and rakes and other tools hanging upon the wall. So artistic and clever! Inside the space is huge but offerings were minimal. They had bags of popcorn in various flavors. Tomatoes, onions, zucchini, fresh corn, peaches, plums, watermelon and cantaloupe. The smalles cantaloupe rang up at almost $7 so I did a "catch & release" But I did buy some corn at .79 each and some fresh Lady Peaches at $3.49 a pound. Against The back wall are dried flower wreaths and swags, many look like they have been there for years. The place can definitely use a fresh update. They have animals for the kiddos to pet. Sheep, an alpaca and goat plus chickens and rabbits. If you are at the Swan Dahlia farm, this is just a quarter mile up the road. read more

We had such a fun afternoon with Louie, the Flower Farmer. We rode the train and fed rabbits, chickens, sheep, a goat and an alpaca. They were all such sweet animals. The kids loved getting to pet them and feeding them their animal granola. We've been coming to this farm over the past 40 years and always love it! read more

The train is so much fun! The hay pyramid was a hit with the kiddos. The farm stand could use an update with some more variety of items. The decor along the train ride is getting tired and run down. The animals are not well cared for. The chickens are suffering from bad cases of bumble foot, poor nutrition, and aggressive behavior likely due to the conditions they are kept. The sheep and alpaca seemed poorly socialized and very hungry. The rabbits are kept in poor conditions and are covered in their own mess. The pumpkins are in poor condition- many already showing signs of rot. I hope this farm makes some changes because it could be such a special gem. read more

When my boys were in their 'train phase' we used to come here a lot to ride the miniature Phoenix & Holly railway. I even hosted a birthday party here under the trees on the picnic benches. The train ride is a nice long loop and we always tried to sit in the enclosed caboose. On the weekend, the train makes a stop at their petting zoo. Tickets are $4.50 for adults and $3.50 for kids. I stopped by earlier this summer for a trip down memory lane and found things were a little worse for wear. The railroad is still operating, but the produce, flowers and knickknacks seemed meager. We just returned again with a group to ride the Boo train and enjoy the harvest activities. Rather than a maze, they have a hay pyramid, which is a bit unique. You can climb on top or walk through it (bring a flashlight!). Again, things didn't seem quite as fun or exciting as our prior visits. This is located very close to the Canby Ferry and if you have kids obsessed with trains it may be worth a visit. But, with so many farms in the area offering harvest activities, this is no longer near the top of my list. read more

Tl/dr: Head to Fir point farms instead. I've been coming here since I was little, and I'm now 40. I brought my 2 year old and parents back and it was a terrible mistake. Not only is this place empty, run-down and tired, it's over-priced and the two women here this morning were so unfriendly that I was quite taken aback. I do not recommend this visit. The train, which is fine for littles, is 5 bucks for a child and 8 for an adult. My, how times have changed- and how this place has changed. None of it with the times, or for the better. Perhaps the staff (or owners? Who knows who those two unfriendly old ladies were), should be reminded that yelp reaches a long way, and yelp reviews are forever. read more

Returned to The Flower Farmer today, after taking the last threes off and it was just the same as ever. The pumpkin selection was poor this year, but the crop is no reflection on the fun times to be be had at this fall family tradition. I don't enjoy packed pumpkin patches that are more attraction based than find your pumpkin based, and this is not one of those places. Just like it was when I was kid and I love that! read more

We love this place, we have been the last 3 years! We were able to bring our 9 month old this year and he loved it. The train is fun, and the petting zoo is little but cute. The pumpkins are hit or miss, but lots of perfect unique ones!! The hay pyramid is great for pictures and good for older kids. We will be back every year. read more

We went to the pumpkin patch this year and I was extremely underwhelmed. The train ride is the only redeeming thing about the whole place. All the pumpkins were rotten on one side, and the hay pyramid was years old, smelled horrendous with rot and was falling apart. The whole place needs a good scrubbing and repair. And for goodness sake build a new hay pyramid every year! Won't be going here again. read more

While visiting Canby on our way to the Ferry we spotted the Flower Farmer farm, the owner was riding a miniature train, the track is impressive, runs for 3/4 of a mile, if you love trains, have kids, both or none I would recommend a visit for an opportunity to forget your daily problems, ride a miniature train,laid out by the father of the owner in the 80's with rails imported from Japan. They have a petting zoo where you can feed chickens, alpacas, turkey, duck, miniature goats. Bring some change to get food for the animals. I would recommend to bring food and make a picnic, ride the train and buy dry flower bouquets, along with the Ferry, the Lego store this was the best surprise for a day at Canby, OR read more

I had looked high and low for an affordable, yet cool, event space for my 50th Birthday Party. This was a recommendation to me and I'm SO GLAD that I booked and had my party here. The owner, Louie, was wonderful to work with and he was so flexible in allowing us to come early, set up, take down, etc. The price was amazing as well! I've been here a few times and it was fine, but they were shysters this year. They overcharged us over 30% for the pumpkins we bought ("ghost pumpkin" price for regular pumpkins). Prices for the train were $5 for kids/$7 for adults. Everything was looking a lot more run down than previous years. They've permanently lost my business. read more

Before retirement we use to bring our preschoolers there. Now, we come here periodically to purchase veggies and flowers. It's always been enjoyable. This year brought a friend and her 2 year old on the Christmas train. They loved it, and we loved it. Simple nice fun read more

We took our 4 year old granddaughter to ride the train and pick out a pumpkin yesterday. She had a blast! The train ride had some fun Halloween/harvest scenes set up along the trip which included a couple of tunnels. First stop was to pet some farm animals. The lady driving the train was very good with our granddaughter and another little boy, the only two kids on our train. She was very patient and explained about the animals they were viewing or petting. Next stop was a huge hay pyramid. It was a real hit! I would definitely recommend this place for families though the ticket price was a little steep. The price was $7 for adults, $5 for kids.
