I wanted to write the review by saying Cash and the gang at a New View were fair and honest and did everything they said they would do. One of the windows of the many they installed was a little wobbly. The manufacturer came out and could not fix the issue. In search of new entry doors, some companies were either not very friendly & helpful, or used tactics that were not very scrupulous. Checking Yelp, I found "A New View Windows & Doors". "A New View Windows & Doors" has one of the largest showrooms in OC, with a nice selection of doors & windows on display. If you don't see something you like they can order certain doors for you. The staff are friendly & helpful, & Izzy is not only knowledgeable & helpful, but he's a very personable super cool guy, & has a great sense of humor. Although they do have a nice selection, unfortunately, "A New View Windows & Doors" was not able to accommodate exactly what I was looking for with this particular project. However, I would definitely consider reaching out to them again for another upcoming project for another property. We regret choosing this company from start to finish. Drove to their showroom after initial measurements. Scheduled a final measurement appointment in person. No one showed up on the day we confirmed. Finally re-scheduled and had to completely revise our window plans as we were instructed that the plan given to us initially by another employee would not be approved by the city. After first day of install, was informed our project needed to be pushed back a day to a Saturday due to weather. When I asked for flexibility to not have to be home during the weekend, was told if we do not accommodate, we will have to wait and see when they could come back, as they would not delay other projects, and the schedule was full for the foreseeable future. Finally and most importantly, the new construction install of the Andersen windows was careless. The crew cut pieces of wood from my home and replaced it with new wood (that we paid extra for). They were so careless when they replaced it that they didn't even cut it at even lengths, sand it down, or install it correctly so that it fits flush into our home. Now we have jagged pieces of wood poking out on our home. It would have taken one ounce of care or pride in workmanship to either make uniform cuts or attempt to make it look seamless upon install. Lastly, no one from the company even bothered to come out to look at the install crew's work the entire time or afterward. We also now have windows with mismatched hardware colors. We regret choosing this business and had almost identical price quotes from other well rated window companies. read more

We ordered new double doors, and they came in with scratches on both doors and one of the door handles. I spoke with Jenny, and all she told me was that they inspected them before they were delivered (clearly they didnt!). Shop else where! To reply to you Cash, I guess it's buyer beware! Ya, I signed for the doors for delivery. They were on wood screwed around the doors, so I'm not sure how I was supposed to inspect them. The guy on the phone, the day of delivery, insured me they had no scratches! That's not the case. We demoed the front entrance to hang the doors, so I'm not sure how I was going to return them!? I am pressed for time on the project and put my faith in your company to deliver, and you deffently failed on doing so. Thanks for your concern and customer service. read more

We ordered a Door and Window from them and we did not know that we were going to need to higher an Engineer to get City permits because we were moving the door. None of this had anything to do with Anewview. I am just mentioning this because it took us 15 months from Engineering to Framing before Anewview could send out their installers. During that entire time they were 100% professional and understanding. Izzy and the Office Team are wonderful to work with and the installers Jose and Angle did a top notch job. During install there were issues with how the house wall where the door was to be installed was Crooked and the Anewview team (Jose and Angle) went over an above the call of duty to get the door installed as straight as physically possible. Had a leaky window and thought I needed to replace it completely. Cash (the owner) came out to do the estimate and with his knowledge/experience, didn't think a new window was needed. Recommended a re-seat/re-seal and referred me to a trusted colleague. Needless to say I was very impressed with Cash's honesty as he could've easily just replaced the window (at a much higher cost). My partner and I recently visited the showroom of A New View. WOW was I impressed! Not only was it beautiful from the outside but the showroom was very nice and clean and stocked with lots of samples. All of the sales people were very friendly. If you go in ask for Izzy, he was the absolute best! His knowledge of the product was spot on. He took time to show us around and answered all of our questions with ease. We left the showroom with several quotes and an appointment set for the following Monday to have someone come out and measure. On Monday Cash the owner came out and measured our windows. He too was very friendly and gave us a lot of good ideas. Today we received our formal quote from Izzy and we are very happy with it. My house is 20 years old, and I've been remodeling it section by section. Two years ago, I had the kitchen remodeled. Earlier this year, I had the master bath remodeled. However, I decided to focus my attention on the outside, starting w/ the windows and entry door. I noticed my house gets really warm in the summer and drafty in the winter. I spoke to Nick at a New View, and he educated me on the benefits of dual pane, Milgard vinyl windows w/ argon gas. I believe the gas moves around faster in the summer and allows heat to escape, and vice versa in the winter. Other things I was looking for was obscure glass for the bathrooms & window on the landing that faces the street, a French slider w/ etched glass for the back door, windows that opened on the West side of the house vs stationary ones the home builder installed, and windows that opened upwards vs sideways in the master bedroom. The latter allows for more air flow and privacy. I received a quote from another company, but did not feel as comfortable w/ them. The person I was referred to never returned my call directly. In addition, he never offered to come to my house to confirm the measurements (and thus the quote), to ensure the total cost. In contrast, A New View starting from Nick, to the owner Cash, and the the installer Gallagher & his team, were excellent. I felt very comfortable that I was getting taken care of and not getting the run around. The total job was over $20K, so it pays to deal w/ a company that can deliver from start to finish. I didn't want to be a cheapa$$ like my neighbor who installed his windows himself, but fukd up the stucco around the windows. He still hasn't painted the eff up. A New View did exactly what I expected and at a lower cost vs the competitor I felt uncomfortable with. The windows look like they have nice casings, that will look even better after the house is painted. Its no wonder a New View has won multiple awards from "The Best of Orange County". read more

It's been nearly two months since my new windows were installed and I've been putting off writing this review because I thought that perhaps I would find something I disliked about them that wasn't immediately apparent. Two months later I have nothing. My expectations were fairly high from the start, as I was planning on buying a product at a higher price point and, living in a noisy area, I have specific requirements. So far the purchase process, the installation process and the product have all exceeded my expectations. During the purchase phase Izzy worked with me to find the product that best fit my situation, offering several options and sharing technical specs to establish a price to value ratio. He was also very patient while I worked with my HOA (a months-long process). During installation, Norm and Graham were easy to communicate with, stuck to the agreed upon schedule, and were respectful of my time and property, taking extra time to clean up the work areas and remove the old hardware as they left. This is one of the most positive experiences I've had with a contractor, hands down. The Milgard Ultra windows I purchased have done exactly what I wanted, with excellent sound, heat, and UV insulating properties, yet still easy to open and close. I recommend A New View without hesitation to anyone. read more

I'm posting this review based on an experience my parents, who are senior citizens, recently had with A New View. I used A New View at my own home many years ago and had a wonderful experience, but my parents had difficulty with their recent interactions with this company. They placed an order for 2 sliding doors and 5 windows, all Milgard, which were ordered 9/23 and installed 11/23. Order was paid in full at time of installation. On the day of installation, the installer noticed a hole in one screen and a misalignment of grids on front windows (he told my parents this was due to someone at A New View not checking a certain box on the original order form). He assured them both issues would be fixed. Fast forward to 4/24 (yes, 5 months later!) and my parents did receive a re-screened screen after several phone calls and "lost" screens. The misalignment of the grids has never been addressed. My parents are too old and tired to keep persisting. Based on this we can no longer recommend this business and wanted to post this to inform others. The 2 stars provided is for the high quality of the Milgard product and mostly competent installation. read more

We were looking forward to the 3 exterior doors we ordered from A New View. The picture showing are Andersen French doors that do not fit our opening. These doors are custom and coat us thousands of dollars and several weeks. It was frustrating to find out that what arrived had 4" jamb instead of the 6" ordered. I called Andersen Windows customer service and they said our dealer ordered it wrong. I called A New View and they suggested we have our installer just get extensions from Home Depot and figure out how to fix it and make it work. Pretty disappointing and frustrating to hear from a supposed top rated company. I asked them to order from Andersen the right extensions which took an additional 3 weeks. My husband picked up today and what we received did not look like they were from Andersen and our installer is saying they still aren't the right size to work. I decided to replace my old window and include a garden window for the kitchen, since I had previously had new countertops I was very concerned that changing the window style would not look seamless. I had three companies come out and all three gave a different story about the garden window, one said we'd have cut into the granite and I would have do find someone to do it. I had seen the 3D rendering of the garden window and couldn't understand why we'd have to do that. The second rep said we could sit the garden window on the pass thru shelf that was outside... When Cash, the rep for New View came I was perplexed and thinking of quitting the project but he was so knowledgeable and explained every detail of how the window would be installed, I expressed all my concerns and he patiently detailed how they would be solved. That day I went to the showroom and met Valerie who showed me the windows I was considering, I expressed my concerns and she put me at ease as well. I decided to have them do all my windows and am so happy I did! The installers, Jose And Angel arrived on time and were so careful and helpful protecting the house. All the windows were installed beautifully, but the garden window is unbelievable! The exterior stucco work is perfect and the interior is seamless to the granite and previous window cutout. Additionally, they cleaned up beautifully and even replaced curtains and blinds! I wasn't expecting that! Wow! Incidentally, I have a neighbor who has a garden window installed and it doesn't look very good at all, she was pointing out all the mistakes which scared me even more. I'm so glad I chose New View, they aren't about flashy presentation, they are about delivering exceptional results that you can be proud of. read more

The nice part about this company is the showroom. And that's about it. From the point of getting an estimate they were late because they took down the wrong address and never fixed it in there system after my repeated requests. Naturally install date comes and they're at the wrong address. The installation was great when they made it though! The patio door itself is beautiful. However the weather stripping was aloof and kept falling off (due to it being the wrong part for the door) and the strike plate being the wrong size. Honestly, I would've been okay with it, if the door would close. I called the salesman Ismael and he was out within a week to inspect it. He promises to order new pieces for the door and I don't hear back from him until I message him 2 weeks later to check on status of said pieces. His response, "Milgard never went to fix the issue". So there you have it guys. Maybe I was too little of a customer? But after spending my pretty penny, it was a bust. I don't recommend this company unless you like to go in and see how the doors should work in the showroom but don't be surprised if yours doesn't work like that when it gets home. I was left with a lemon and awful customer service follow up. I paid for a door, I received the door, it doesn't close unless you slam it to lock it. It's pretty to look at but isn't functional especially with having parties or kids. So embarrassing. It's sad to say but I'm kicking myself for not going with Home Depot. read more

With the heavy rains we've experienced this year, we finally had to replace a badly leaking window that required the stucco surrounding it to be removed and replaced. This is a SOLID company. I saw their truck in our neighborhood and decided to give them a call for a quote on replacing a side door (that leads into the garage). A live person always answers the phone - a rarity these days. Izzy explains all the options, Jamie the owner comes out for measurements, and my installation team of Jose and Angel were craftsmen that are proud of their trade and it shows. They came on time, sealed off the work area to minimize the mess, and the finished door/frame is a masterpiece!
