This place! We were randomly searching for a place to grab some lunch. Stumbled upon this when I saw a picture of mac and cheese that looked to die for. Their menu is vast, so it was a hard decision. We started off with a breakfast cocktail and decided we had to try the mac and cheese of course. We split the hot mess burger. I mean cheddar and bleu cheese...yes please. The mac came in a crock that was so creamy. The burger super tasty with all the flavors combined. Perfect spot downtown to check out while there exploring. Plenty of on street parking around town. Tip- Call ahead to get yourself on the wait list, small inside so might be a bit of a wait but worth the wait. They quoted us 1hr 45 min but only was an hour wait. They text you when your table is ready so we stopped at another bar for a drink and waited for our text! Must try to onion rings, they are huge! Visiting Wilmington for the first time with my daughter and so glad we came across this restaurant on yelp. We had a fabulous lunch! We had a hard time deciding what to order because the menu is extensive and it all sounded so good. We ate at the bar, so we were able to watch the food come through the window. We saw the chicken sandwich and decided to split it because it was HUGE and also ordered the fried pickles appetizer. Probably the best fried pickles I have ever tasted! Only substitution I made was no mustard on sandwich, and instead a side of their roasted red pepper mayo. Great condiment on that sandwich! The wait staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I had an early lunch this past week. Small restaurant with a nice bar. My wife had the hot chicken sandwich and I had the Reuben. Chicken in the sandwich very good, but the slaw on too was so wet it ruined the sandwich. Reuben was tasty, but the home cured meat was stringy and difficult to eat. We're from the NYC area and have had quite a few Reubens in our lives, so I think it says a lot about the quality of this restaurant. Everything we've tried has been great! I love going here for date nights in Wilmington! Drinks are always to perfection and the appetizers almost steal the show from the burgers. Great food! The wait was a bit long, which is understandable there is only about 5 tables in the restaurant not including the bar. We had been suggested Fork n Cork by many friends, so we decided to make the hour and a half drive! After arriving we knew that we wanted to eat there even though the restaurant size was not what we were expecting. I would say this would be an amazing place to go to as a couple with no children. We do have a daughter who was with us, and it was extremely hard to sit at a high top with her; and they do not offer a kids menu! One person in our party ordered a salad with dressing on the side but the dressing was on top of the salad. Overall, the food was too salty and not worth the price. Fork N Cork is a small restaurant and bar in the heart of downtown Wilmington that we visited. Definitely take advantage of the call-ahead option they have. The wait time was about an hour and a half, but we got a text when our table was ready and we were seated immediately when we got to there. The atmosphere was nice and our waitress was friendly. After looking at the multitude of options on the menu and seeing what other people had been ordering, I decided to go for the Texas Brisket Sandwich with a side of Mac N Cheese. This is probably the closest thing that you're going to get to Texas brisket outside of Texas. The brisket was slightly dry and it could have benefitted from a side of extra sauce, but overall the sandwich was delicious. There was a good amount of meat in the sandwich and it had a nice smoky flavor. The side of Mac N Cheese was slightly better than the Mac N Cheese that you'd expect from a restaurant. It was nice and creamy with a good amount of cheese. Overall this was a great experience and I'd recommended Fork N Cork to any looking for a casual dinner out! read more

As a local, I & friends have eaten there several times. This last time was a disappointment. In earlier visits the brussels sprouts were always great. Round, cheesy and toasted. The last 2 visits, they were mushy looking and burnt. Charred on the edges. The first time I ordered the Sun Egg, my delightful waitress said I "would hear the angels sing" when I tasted it....and I did! Couldn't wait to have it again. This last time, along with my burnt Brussels Sprouts, my sun egg yolk was overcooked and almost solid. I asked, my server, Taylor, if it was cooked correctly, as I was sure the yolk was supposed to be runny. And he flat out told me a falsehood, saying it was cooked perfectly. (But I still tipped over 20%, being an ex server, myself) The brisket sandwich was very tasty, but the meat needs to be chopped up more, as it consisted of long thick strands, which are very difficult to eat in a sandwich. The sandwich portions are large and the side servings are large. The Mac n Cheese is great. It will be awhile before I return and when I do, I'll send back anything that is overcooked. read more

I ordered the French toast with a bourbon maple pecan glaze - hands down best French Toast I've had. My husband ordered the classic breakfast. Though traditional, just a really solid breakfast - bacon, sausage, thick toast slices, eggs, and these really yummy potatoes. Super friendly waitstaff, food arrived quickly and neatly plated. Definitely made the cut as one of our favorites when we're in town! This is not my first review of this business nor will it be my last. Fork N Cork is my first choice when eating downtown. I have tried most of the menu and my favorite things are the brussels and wellington bites but let's be for real, everything is wonderful here. Last time I complained about the hostess hovering while we were seated outside and this time it was not an issue so it's great to see that someone is reading my reviews and making changes when needed. Tip: Use the call ahead seating. I have heard others complain about the wait here but I always call ahead and have never had an issue. read more

I like these guys are open all day. It's a small space with a long bar with seating. Best time to eat is mid-day. Lunch and dinner fills up quickly! It appears as a small bar but wow their menu packs a punch of some great choices! They have so many unique items on their appetizer menu. They are known for their burgers. They have a great beer line up, wines and specialty drink list too. We had the Beef Wellington bites off the appetizer and these were so delicious! The demi wine and horseradish that is served with it is so delicious. These were so delightful! I had the duck, duck, goose burger with a fried egg on top. My husband had the peanut butter and bacon burger. Each burger comes with a huge order of fries. The burgers are huge and we were ridiculously full. Come hungry! Leave full! So many unique burgers to choose from. We look forward to come back and try more of the menu. I really want to try their version of poutine. It's one of my favorite foods.
