Fredrik of @Humphreytown and I took a stroll down Magnolia blvd saturday morning and came across this #Vegan @thefrankenstand ! JUMP SCARE! They weren't open yet but we were so intrigued that we had to make a return to feast on our prey! Lightning strikes of hunger pangs drew us back to #theFrankenstand where we bought 2 hot dogs ( they had so many flavors some were even sold out for the day they were so popular like the beer battered bratwurst !) These Hot Dogs WERE SO DELICIOUS ! Like Terrifyingly delicious ! The only thing scarier perhaps would be a real meat hot dog - yikes ! But these #veganfoodie hot dogs were better then the real deal without the creepy meat guilt! You could smell the aroma of these hot dogs from across town it was so entrancing - Afterwards Felt like the wolfman we were howling for more ! We can't wait for the sequel to this horrifyingly delicious meal - wherever #Frankenstein will be - so will we! PROS--- Invisible Sauce was what really got us hooked -everything was Skeleton-approved: 100% ORGAN-ic free. Vendor didn't have the guts, but had the buns and accepted Credit Cards!

Hot dog!

This stand is so good! There aren't really any vegan hot dog places near Orange County so I make the trek for these ones! Always worth it.

Ever since I first tried their vegan hotdogs at The Frankenstand, every time they are near I have to swing by! I had never tried vegan hot dogs, until trying their deliciously haunted dogs here; now I'm sold. They immediately won me over with "The Scarecrow": corn on top, vegan cotija cheese, a light drizzle of sriracha mayo garnished with green onion, and a wedge of lime to really make those flavors pop! My friend also tried their vegan bratwurst "The Witch," which also had a lot of flavor! This place is a great treat for vegans, especially for LA's spooky scouters. Highly recommend.

I love the Frankenstand! His vegan dogs are always cooked to perfection and his toppings are BOMB. Honestly, catch him when you can, because it will be worth it. I just did a curbside pickup which was easy, quick, and sanitary. Also bought a can of Rad Coffee cold brew which is delicious :)

The ABSOLUTE best vegan (or otherwise) dogs around! It's all about how they're prepared (I won't spill the secret!) Ray puts so much care into every single one made including all his from scratch homemade condiments. I crave them so when he's popped up I make a point to get up on that! Mouth watering delicious!

Frankenstand is the best place around for vegan brats and dogs. I've been following Ray for years and he puts so much time and love into every bite. I just tried his new "The Mourning Dog" breakfast sausage and it was mouth watering delicious. The maple Sriracha is so tasty. Great combo. Follow him on Instagram! Highly recommend!

One of each, loaded up.

Mmmm. Weiners. Soft buns, delicious dogs, lots of toppings. Vegenaise, mustard, spicy brown mustard, BBQ, ketchup, chipotle... Onions, sauerkraut, relish, jalapenos! Fake bacon sprinkles! Om nom nom nom. The End.

An employee who claimed to be the manager became hostile toward us because he thought our group was standing too close together. Instead of speaking to us professionally, he repeatedly yelled at us, used profanity, and treated us with complete disrespect. We remained calm and tried to cooperate, but immediately after we finished eating, he falsely accused us of not ordering anything and demanded that we leave. The situation became even more unacceptable when he physically pushed members of our group toward the exit while continuing to curse at us. We were paying customers and did nothing to justify being verbally abused and physically removed. The owner is apparently named Jake. Management should seriously investigate what happened. Nobody should be treated this way. I will never return and strongly recommend avoiding this business.

Many come with the intention of getting a TJ Dog, many get talked into it by those selling it, and many succumbed to the munchies. No matter the reason, they're more tasty than they smell (if that's possible). Many have some hot dogs in all stages of their cook state (cooked enough, some char, lots of char, almost overcooked). A lot of the hot dog vendors have their PayPal/Venmo QR codes taped onto their cart. You can't tell the difference between the TJ dogs sold here and the ones in Tijuana. I've personally never gotten sick after eating these. Service is quick, there may be a bit of a language barrier, but not enough to prevent your purchase of a hot tasty TJ dog.

They're particularly amazing if the vendor is set up on a corner, it should be at least midnight, and you should be a couple of sheets to the wind. I don't know if it's the car exhaust marinade or the lard cooking ingredients, but those damn Dirty Dogs are life-changingly good! (Make sure you get it with all the fixings... Calories don't count after midnight.) Whether it's outside the clubs in Hollywood, or you're celebrating the Lakers win outside the Staples Center, those trusty carts are a godsend to LA food lovers like me! Now to find those bad boys, if you're good, you can locate a stand by scouring the city for the queue on corner - the clear indicator of the food stand. But if you're freaking awesome (like my fatty friend, Ellen Sue C.), you can simply stick your head out the car window and sniff the nighttime air to find them. Either way, bacon-wrapped hot dogs are staple in the culture of LA. It's what makes us so damn awesome! NOTE: It has been tough finding these jewels lately, and I discovered on my last lucky adventure that they are required to have permits now, and that many have acquired trucks instead of carts!
