The standout was the sauces, which were all made inhouse. If you are a ranch dressing fan, this place has the best. We weren't sure how to get it, but it is in the bar. The bar has cheap drinks and you can order with George. He's the guy making the food, and he delivers. In fifteen minutes we got three orders of fish and chicken with fries and other sides. The ranch was amazing, all the sauces were top notch and all the fried food was clean and tasty. And if you're wondering why I gave it four stars instead of five it is because I was looking for more batter on the fish shrimp. I do know that based on the way it was cooked that it was possibly done in an air fryer versus a deep fryer. Which, by all accounts is Healthier than the traditional deep-fried food. I got a 4 piece chicken strip with their mango/habanero dipping sauce, with collard greens and a side of their Mac n cheese. Service was friendly and fast, as well as the food being served hot! The chicken was moist and a good portion. The mango/habanero tastes like it may be store bought/bottled brand. It was good, but it seems as though I may have had it elsewhere before. The collard greens were very good and cook to perfection. I'm sure they would have been even better had I remembered to grab some malted vinegar to put on them. But nonetheless very well made greens! The Mac n cheese is where it fell off. Very bland and had a mealy/grainy texture, as though maybe pre shredded cheese was used or too much heat when making the cheese sauce. But disappointed with the Mac n cheese all around. Sometimes we have off days and that's understandable. Would I give them another try? Absolutely. Fried food for celiacs is a BIG DEAL! 3 of us are at risk from gluten, just ate there, and no sickness. We had 4 people total, and everyone loved their food. Fried rockfish, fried shrimp, fried party wings, tater tots and zucchini fries. Soooo good! It was heavenly, except the zucchini fries, which got really soggy. Everything else was super good. Probably the best tater tots ever. They make their own tartar sauce and aoli, and they were delicious. All of the food items are labeled GF, except the banana pudding, and They have a few sauces that have gluten, but it's all clearly labeled on the menu. We will definitely be back! I'm so thrilled to have this food truck so close to my house. I especially love the fact that they are open late. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating to my food allergy questions. I thought it would be like Portland Fish House, to be fair. I was looking for a good place other than Portland Fish House. The style of this reminds me of my dad's cooking. He had lived in the South and there was Cajun/Creole influence. As a kid, I loved a lot of that cooking. Today, I don't as much. It is harder for me to digest due to the way it's fried.
