In fifteen minutes we got three orders of fish and chicken with fries and other sides. The ranch was amazing, all the sauces were top notch and all the fried food was clean and tasty. The desserts are worth your time too, the banana pudding was legit and George made sure we were full with extras. We will bed back and if you have doubts, check it out. The standout was the sauces, which were all made inhouse. If you are a ranch dressing fan, this place has the best. We got 3 catfish meals, spent $52 dollars, the catfish was undercooked, it wasn't crispy at all. We had one meal that wasn't even catfish. Asked for Greens, got mac and cheese that was so gritty and chunky and pver powered with garlic that my mom almost threw up as soon as it his her mouth. The coleslaw had no flavor. I went to this place last night and was delightful surprised that the food was really good. I had the fried halibut and prawns with some coleslaw and I have to say that I enjoyed my meal. The gentleman that was there, was very polite and professional, offered recommendations, and even brought the food to my car to my surprise. And if you're wondering why I gave it four stars instead of five it is because I was looking for more batter on the fish shrimp. I do know that based on the way it was cooked that it was possibly done in an air fryer versus a deep fryer. Which, by all accounts is Healthier than the traditional deep-fried food. The chicken is not flavorful, not anywhere as good as KFC. The pieces are too large and dry. The mac and cheese is bitter and heavy with cheese, not tasty at all. Stopped here for the first time cause I've heard good things about this cart. I got a 4 piece chicken strip with their mango/habanero dipping sauce, with collard greens and a side of their Mac n cheese. Service was friendly and fast, as well as the food being served hot! The chicken was moist and a good portion. The mango/habanero tastes like it may be store bought/bottled brand. It was good, but it seems as though I may have had it elsewhere before. The collard greens were very good and cook to perfection. I'm sure they would have been even better had I remembered to grab some malted vinegar to put on them. But nonetheless very well made greens! The Mac n cheese is where it fell off. Very bland and had a mealy/grainy texture, as though maybe pre shredded cheese was used or too much heat when making the cheese sauce. But disappointed with the Mac n cheese all around. Sometimes we have off days and that's understandable. Would I give them another try? Absolutely. We just discovered this today, it's been here 6 months, 1/4 mile from the house!!! There's not much signage, and easy to miss. Fried food for celiacs is a BIG DEAL! 3 of us are at risk from gluten, just ate there, and no sickness. We had 4 people total, and everyone loved their food. Fried rockfish, fried shrimp, fried party wings, tater tots and zucchini fries. Soooo good! It was heavenly, except the zucchini fries, which got really soggy. Everything else was super good. Probably the best tater tots ever. They make their own tartar sauce and aoli, and they were delicious. All of the food items are labeled GF, except the banana pudding, and They have a few sauces that have gluten, but it's all clearly labeled on the menu. We will definitely be back! I'm so thrilled to have this food truck so close to my house. I especially love the fact that they are open late. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating to my food allergy questions. The food is made-to-order and comes out hot and tasting delicious (unlike some fried food spots where the food sits under a heat lamp). I want to start by saying that people running the place are very nice and seem to genuinely care about trying to make good food. If you are Celiac or need to avoid gluten, this is a place you can do that. It's not advertised that way, but it's a nice fact. I had the fish and chips. I thought it would be like Portland Fish House, to be fair. I was looking for a good place other than Portland Fish House. The style of this reminds me of my dad's cooking. He had lived in the South and there was Cajun/Creole influence. As a kid, I loved a lot of that cooking. Today, I don't as much. It is harder for me to digest due to the way it's fried.
