Came after a wedding and it's probably the favorite meal that comes to mind from this trip. Got one Dirty Flat Top Burger and a mushroom ricotta pizza slice to share with my boyfriend and it was amazing. Took nibbles of friends' selections but the two we went with are the way to go. I tend to recommend this place to people who go to visit. I think they stop serving burgers at midnight so be sure to go before then. Small diner / NY pizza shop vibes run by a couple hipster chefs which encouraged me we were off to a good start. I got the pepperoni slice and burger (both recommended). The pizza was good but not great and a little greasy. I give it a 7.2/10 on the Portnoy scale. The burger on the other hand was fantastic. 4.5 stars Came here to try the infamous Dirty Flat top burger ($5) this is a no frills burger; no lettuce or tomato and no substitutions, either you want the burger or not. If you are allergic to onions you're SOL. When you order it they pull out 2 balls of meat from the refrigerator and smash them on the flat top, grill some onions, then a slice of cheese goes on each patty and the buns are grilled as well. What makes this burger is the nice char on the meat patties and buns and the smooth garlicky aioli that the put on it. The bun is just your pain ol' bun that you could get at the grocery store, but assembled, this is one delicious meaty burger. Its kind of a smaller burger maybe the size of In N Out minus the lettuce and tomato but that gives it a more meaty taste, two slices of cheese make it gooey and cheesy and the garlicky aioli is the crown jewel that puts this burger over the top. I also got a slice of pizza with pepperoni and sausage ($3.50), it was a NY style thin crust, it had a nice crispy crust, it was a very good slice but i think overshadowed by the burger. The burger and slice of pizza were the perfect amount for me. All drinks are $2 i think that includes cans of beer but they also carry Topp Chico naturally carbonated water which i like. Overall a good pizza and one of the best barebones type burgers around. read more

Sorry there was nothing special about it. The American cheese was cheap and tasted like plastic, the sauce as just mayo, the bun was cheap and all wrinkled, there was no pickles just caramelized onions. For $7 I will not be too difficult but it did not do it for me. I actually enjoyed their slice of pizza much more and give that 5 star. A girl in a snake skin skirt who didn't even work there kept yelling at me when I walked in at 1:30 AM (closes at 2). As I walked past her she continuously yells in my ear were closed were closed as I go to someone to who actually works there. They tell me they are closed, understandable I respect that and begin to walk out. She continues to make smart remarks at me. I tell them it's bad business and I will not be a returning customer.
