We also had some great conversations with the bartender, which made the experience feel especially personal. The cocktail format is unique as well. There isn't a fixed menu. Instead, you tell the bartender what you like, what you're in the mood for, and how adventurous you want to be, and they create something around your preferences. I'm a whiskey drinker and was open to experimenting, so I ended up with an Old Fashioned that had a savory element (soy sauce ) I wasn't entirely sure about at first but it turned out to be surprisingly good. My husband, who's a big mezcal fan, got a cocktail featuring Chartreuse, if I remember correctly, and thoroughly enjoyed his. I believe reservations are limited to 90 minutes, but that was plenty of time for two cocktails each. We left feeling like we'd had a genuinely memorable evening--not just because of the drinks and the views, but because of the conversations and the people we met along the way.Pricing is slightly on the higher side, but that's pretty much what we expected given the setting and the experience and might I add that the alcohol was also top shelf. My one coffee refill took an extraordinarily long time, and my girlfriend's specialty coffee--which was the most expensive item we ordered--was never followed up on once it was finished. We also waited a long time just to get the check, almost as long as it took us to pick at our meal. When the server finally returned, my plate was cleared but her uneaten food was left sitting. Overall, the experience felt worse than even basic diners. We won't be returning.

Fantastic service coming from The Front Door. I came inside the restaurant and instantly felt welcomed. The aroma from all the food delicious looking food hits you as soon as you walk in the door! I had the large half wise half enforcer pizza that was recommended by Brandon White out server. It was absolutely huge for the minimal price I felt I paid! Not to mention the pizza had great flavor and presentation. We ended up ordering a medium half "Wise Guy" and "Mac N Cheese" pizza. Crust was thin like we love it and the flavor was great. Probably the best pizza for the $$ we've had in a while. I thought a few days about this review, from the initial take-out meal to subsequent weekend…read morelunch/dinner meals at home. I worked in pizza for about 15 years, so I tend to be selective in what I think is great versus good, versus okay, or worse. My first meal here, was - OK. The dough seemed under-proofed, very high gluten, on the upper end of oil content, and lacking any levels of crisp from the oven. Elevated oil is for crisp and gluten keeps it bound. Together, those elements without proper proofing/heat contact make it dense and chewy. That was in all elements of what we had. Some people like that. I like the base product to be more airy with a better crisp on heat-exposed crust. I didn't take photos of the underside, but there was little color and the rim crust was dense and chewy. The flavor of the garlic pillows was good, but again, the same chewy under-proofed bread. The tiny bit was marinara you get did have a good flavor, but it really should see a blender for 5-10 seconds to make it an actual dipping sauce instead of a chunky pizza sauce. How do you dip into a chunk of tomato? You don't, you bite out a scoop in the bread and suddenly a bunch of it is gone. With that out of the way, the flavor combinations of the OG and Miss Honey were really interesting if it weren't on top of that dough base. There were a couple bone chunks in the sausage in the Miss Honey, but the sauce and caramelized onions, with ricotta coupled with the honey really brought interest. Very unique. OG, again, very interesting. Jalapenos not to hot (for my wife), with chicken, feta, and artichoke was a pretty fun mouth ride. The balsamic drizzle, very tame and mostly provided a very slight tart sweetness. Great concept and mix of ideas, if only they could get the dough foundation and their dipping sauce consistency fixed. We'll try it again and see if it turns out the same. For $20-22 per medium? Doesn't hit that mark in my opinion and for our Friday night pizza order.
