Great place before the UNLV football games! Great fun packed atmosphere! Lots of TVs and the food is really good! They were very accommodating to my burger with no bun, even cooked my burger in a pan to keep it safe Gluten free. Even so busy the service was great, owners were delivering food! The bar is alright. Decent ambiance for music with pals, food is okay, could be better, service on grave was great, but the other shifts need work. Will reivew after more visits this year. In the few years prior it's been up and down all over the place. Really depends on the bartenders. read more

In it's inconspicuous location and camouflaged front entrance you may find yourself driving right past if you don't know it's there. I knew this building existed and I went there deliberately because it had been years since I'd been there when it was another bar completely called Hammer and Ales. I knew another bar took it's place and wanted to try Tailgater Tavern. Since you have to know this place is here, it's a total locals place (Great! I'm a local). There were only a handful of patrons in there and they seemed to be the type that come there after work every single night just to drink their lives away and stumble home. I have to tell you the bartender was flat-out unaccommodating. She barely took our first drink order. No smile, no "how are ya?", Not even offering us a menu.... she just wanted to return to talking to the small group of daily drunk degenerates in there. Didn't even check on us until I had already decided I was leaving after one drink. So I'd think a place like this that would depend 100% on local business would want to make a regular out of somebody new. Ya know...drives sales... offer them a menu, be friendly, check on them. Nope, not here. She couldn't give any less of a hoot. This place is a joke, I went somewhere else and had a great time. If you happen to see this place, just keep passing it like everybody else does less the handful of degenerates in there. *** the funny part is another yelper posted a picture and review about the same unfriendly, ameteur, miserable bartender. I don't know who she is but the receipt that was handed to me said "DavidsonA" .... anybody that goes there might want to avoid her shift. After some investigation it sounds like she works Tuesday through Thursday Swing Shift 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Well....I won't be going back at all as I have a laundry list of better places to go! read more

This place was hopping, thanks to a UNLV football game and a whole bunch of alumni congregating for some pre-game shenanigans. Situated a mere stone's throw away from Allegiant Stadium, The Tailgater practically screams "Raider Nation." If you're headed to an event at the stadium and you're not tailgating in the parking lot, this joint is closer to the action than your car. Yeah, I said it! When it comes to liquid courage, The Tailgater doesn't mess around. They've got a lineup of beers that'll make your head spin, and rumor has it they like to switch things up on tap. And if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, they've got the full Monty when it comes to liquor and a kitchen that knows what's up (when items are in stock, more on that in a sec). Our bartender extraordinaire was none other than Megan, and let me tell you, she was like a hospitality wizard. She went out of her way to make sure our every whim was catered to. On game days, they streamline the menu a bit, but don't fret, the bar-style grub is the real McCoy. We went all-in on the wings, and they were seasoned to perfection. The only tiny hiccup? Well, the wings were tiny too, maybe the tiniest wings I've ever laid eyes on. Here's a hack: Consult Megan about the wing situation before you commit. Despite the hustle and bustle and the slightly slimmed-down menu, some items were playing hard to get, like their tots and onion rings--listed on the menu but about as available as a unicorn at a petting zoo. Been here a few times when I couldn't find a better option...Being a dive bar the l prices are good, but they are always out of items on the menu which is annoying. I never heard of a dive bar being out of Mozzarella Sticks, French Fries and Potato Salad! And guess what, the Service sucks what a shocker! read more

The Tailgater Tavern is like a bar from the movies. It's not the fanciest bar but it feels like everyone who goes there are regulars. It's also not crazy crowded so I can actually sit at the bar and have a drink and not have to fight for it. They have TV's for the games and game days specials. We are a town with almost as many bars as we do McDonalds. I like the bar because the food is good. They have my favorite wings and fries in town. It's exactly what you'd expect it to be. Which is what makes it so perfect. I remember this place when it was a construction bar before the Raiders ever thought of coming to Las Vegas. They were brilliant in their foresight to change their name and game plan. I was there Friday night for the UNLV football game and Sunday for the Raiders' game. I would have been better off to stay at the bar!!! Just a nice bar with plenty of room, good bartenders and plenty of TVs. This is a very unique bar in Vegas. Located in a business district but very accessible and ample parking. We came here to do our fantasy MLB draft and we were very happy with what they have to offer. Big bar with plenty of food and beer options, good prices and great service. They also have the main bar, then a private room and run another ultra private room upstairs. Very cool. I stopped by today the bartender was so rude. She made it a point to let my friend and I know that we inconvenienced her by sitting at a table. She was condescending and lacked an ability to provide any sort of customer service. It's unfortunate because it was my first time here. I was looking at the reviews and to my amazement (not really) all the bad reviews are about the same bartender. My last straw was when the bar got empty and my friend attempted to get her attention and she deliberately ignored her while she was smoking. Cherry on top, she didn't even wash her hands after smoking. It's disgusting. read more

Stumbled upon this hidden gem about a month ago. This place is chill, relaxing, and a great place to meet up after work! The graveyard bartender, John, was super friendly and entertaining. Boy can he move when it is a busy night. Very quick and efficient. The food is great, especially the fish tacos! The vibe is very chill, warm, and inviting. They also have a killer jukebox! The drinks are amazing and you have to try John's michelada! Sooooo good! He is by far our favorite bartender! Have been coming here with my coworkers from McCarran Airport and each time we come here, I feel like we keep bringing more people! It's our new favorite watering hole after work. The area is industrial but the parking lot is so safe that my coworkers and I have Uber-ed home a couple times and left our cars. Came back to pick them up, and they are still there...in one piece.
