Best cupcakes in Visalia...last minute delivery for a special birthday order! Thank you

Tain't worth the price...$4.50 each today! I've been there apx. 4 times, but either the ownership has changed or just the huge old grouch at the counter. Before, there were always two nice young women in front. I don't consider myself sensitive, and I always respect the busy schedule of a shop owner.... but this baba rushed me to the point of being rude...wham, bam! That's when I decided for the prices they charge, and rotten customer service, forget about it. The selection wasn't so hot either. Any supermarket is better on all levels. Good bye! read more

I've tried this place 4 times. The decor, the beautiful cupcakes draw you in. each time the service makes me feel like I'm bothering them. They feel annoyed by helping you. service- I can get over. but the cupcakes are so dense. Thick. flavor is ehh. frosting is pure sugar, not in a good way. couldn't tell you if it was vanilla, or butter cream etc. Paid almost $17 for 4 cupcakes that no one couldn't finish. For my daughters first birthday, I showed this exact picture as a reference of what I wanted. I asked for one tier and no dots. No other changes. We were told it would be no problem. The second picture is what we received. The color is incredibly different and since our theme is very specifically royal blue, it does not match. Those stars are thick and cut out poorly. They didn't even clean up the edges and they gave no thought as to the placement of the stars. The stars are top are cracking from poor fondant work (which the whole cake was to be covered in). They are randomly placed as if they threw them on there at the last second. They had the audacity to look us in the face and give us this cake and still CHARGE FULL PRICE. I'm so embarrassed to have this as my daughters first birthday cake and now I have to figure out how to fix it myself because I refuse to show this cake to anyone. I would never recommend this business to anyone having any types of expectations. If I could give a zero I would. Probably better off getting a cake at Walmart with a better price tag. read more

I recently ordered a Poker cake for my boyfriend's 40th Birthday and it was amazing from the decor to cake to flavor. I worked with Gabby getting a cake made for my sons baptism and she did an amazing job. I sent her a picture of what we wanted from a cake my wife found on Pinterest, and she recreated it to perfection. Not only did the cake look amazing, the taste was even better then the appearance. I feel like most beautiful cakes at parties don't have both great looks and great taste but this cake was a hit and everyone was asking questions about where we got it. Also she got this cake done for us in three days where other cake shops were telling me 1-2 weeks time for them to finish a cake. Looking forward to more of the frosted muffin's cakes in the future. Five stars for awesome cupcakes and awesome service! I am surprised I never knew about this shop until this past weekend. My sister and I came here for a cupcake treat and were not disappointed. Every time I travel I try out cupcakes, since I love cupcakes. In all sincerity, I loved these! We all got a cupcake and tried them. I was not disappointed with any and we tried 5 different flavors. The cake is dense, moist, and flavorful. Their icing is crafted perfectly for each cake. My favorite cupcake was the pineapple cupcake. It has so much going on but was just perfect, I highly recommend it. Cupcakes are $3 a piece. I know sounds pricey, but it's worth it. They also have a Keurig for coffee and other drinks like milk water and juice! A plus is that the service was awesome and the seating area was so cute. Definitely a hidden gem! read more

I came in with a dangerous cupcake craving and was warmly greeted by the person behind the counter. Super cute decor with an easy to read chalkboard menu. Cupcakes were arranged behind glass cases with a stack of giant chocolate chip cookies on the counter. Regular and specialty cupcakes were $3 & 3.5 each, respectively. They had an assortment of cupcakes including red velvet & birthday cake (chocolate with vanilla frosting and sprinkles). I asked for a recommendation and unfortunately, the young lady did not make any, but said "it depends on what you like" (hmm... =/). I ordered the Cookies & Cream and Stuffed Churro specialty cupcakes, but did not eat them until that evening. The cupcakes were a bit bigger than a standard cupcake size, dense with a generous dollop of frosting. The Cookies & Cream cupcake had cookie bits throughout the cake and frosting, but this tasted more like a banana muffin than anything else, so I was kind of let down. The Stuffed Churro cupcake was sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and stuffed with bavarian creme. It was a bit dry and the frosting had hardened somewhat. These both SOUND amazing, but -- oh, what the heck, I'll just say it -- I've had better! LOL! I don't think I'll be back for cupcakes, but do want to pick up a giant cookie. We'll see. read more

I have visited The Frosted Muffin as a go to since they were downtown Visalia. Regardless of the lack of customer service in any shape or form. It is clear the employees have no desire or intent on finding out anything if and when asked. It is the same response. The best one is you have to order 2 days before, even when they are closed and walk in to place an order they won't consider it. I was then told to come back and see what they might have in the morning after 10am. I know that an order for 40 cupcakes at 140.00 might not be a big deal for a business that is not selling much these days but maybe they are so busy the don't care about small orders like mine. FYI other places make cupcakes and I could drive to Fresno to Whole Foods with absolutely no problem. I wonder if the owner knows what's going on in the front of the house? They need to know you are only as successful as the people who interact with customers. Bad service is bad for business. I will contemplate now if I will even bother ever going back because the employee looked at me with a whatever attitude about how I could not place an order yesterday and tried but no answer it left me wondering why I was even trying to give them my business. read more

I am from the bay area as we have a ton of cupcakes spots. Frosted Muffin was amazing. I think this had to been the best cupcake places I ever had. I bought one of each flavor and they were all great! I even tried one the next day and surprisingly it was just as good! The store is very well decorated as how I would imagine a cupcake shop should be like. Most places don't taken the time to but that much effort into decorations. Very fun environment. The Frosted Muffin has been a long time favorite. However I have to say, my husband and I are disappointed in their red velvet cupcake. Who makes a cinnamon red velvet cupcake? Especially when simply labeled as "Red Velvet" The frosting is still amazing but the cake practically inedible with a raw, cloying cinnamon (and possibly dash of allspice) flavor. Cannot recommend. And would like my $2.50 back. Prices have also gone up. More simple flavors $2.50 each and the fancy specials $3 each. These usually flip in the box on the way home. I've also noticed since they've added cookies, at times the "muffins" run a little dry. Definitely recommend eating the same day of purchase! read more

The cake I ordered was supposed to be colored black and white with red trimmings (50's theme), they delivered one with hot pink trimmings for a male celebrant! The delivery was an hour late. I really want to like this place, but after giving it three tries, I just don't think it's going to happen. The cupcakes are dry and taste old, the cookies taste like they were frozen at some point, and the customer service is severely lacking. The cupcakes are regular sized, but cost $3.50. I know they're "specialty" cupcakes and the flavors are unique, but they're not worth the cost by any means. One thing that really turned me off was seeing an employee take two large trash bags to the dumpster with her apron on. I've worked several food service jobs and the one constant through all of them is to take your apron off before handling trash. It seems people really love place, but it's just not for me. read more

This muffin shop would have to be my favorite in town by far. Especially on tiramisu days! They have good customer service and amazing muffins! The flavors are amazing and they stay moist. My family and coworkers love these delicious frosted muffins we just wish they were open a little later. They have a nice seating area but I think they should relocate to downtown for more foot traffic. The cupcakes are about $4 each which is a bit pricey but then again they are really good. The woman who was working there greeted us briefly and thereafter was rather curt, potentially seeming annoyed with the brief time we spent browsing and deciding what to order. What was supposed to be a special outing turned into awkwardness as she did not seem excited to serve us at all. In 2015, My wife and I trusted The Frosted Muffin to make our wedding cake as well as cupcakes for our guests. They did a fantastic job and the presentation was beautiful. We recently trusted them again with making a gender reveal cake for our first child. They once again hit the nail on the head. The buttercream in the cake was the color of the gender of the child and each individual cupcake had the colored cream inside as well. This cupcake shop is hands down the best in the Lemoore, Hanford, Visalia area. I have come a couple times to get my usual favorite Vanilla Butter but when I saw that they had cupcakes that involved bacon I HAD to try that. This is a place unlike any I can think of in the area. They have many different types of cupcakes and they are really out of this world. The shop is not very large but they have all of their items in a glass case. So you are able to choose from that area. The prices are not very noticeable but they are a little high. Make sure to follow their Facebook page they do run contests and they also post when they are having "happy hour" I will say I really do love the special products they make on Valentine's Day. It's really something special and the person you get it for will really like it. It's something different and it's not super expensive for what it is.
