We had such an amazing time, definitely became my favorite spot. The friendly attention, the food was delicious (we got the full moon, and it was perfect for 2), and the layout of the bar just gave it the perfect vibes, plus the playlist was the perfect fit for the night.

I love oysters - raw or cooked - steamed, fried, stewed, grilled, poached, Rockefeller, stew or chowder, baked in a casserole - amazingly versatile shell fish! My absolute favorite way to eat them is either raw or steamed, preferably both at the same time, definitely an option here! But their version of Oysters Rockefeller (Moon Rockers) is also a great way to go. And on this visit I stayed strictly with the Rockers - 2 orders, 10 oysters, pricey at $13 per order! But then again, there is not much at an oyster bar that is inexpensive! While I enjoyed this visit, it is not something I would do often - partly due to the cost, and partly due to the seating. I'm no fan of sitting at a spot along a long bar, often directly beside a stranger or two! Ambiance - 3 Food - 4.5 Service -4.5 Value - 3

Looking for oysters and amazing, fresh seafood? Look no further and stop in for a drink as well as dinner. Daily drink specials as well as food specials. Service has always been spot on and the shrimp, scallops, and oysters are amazing!

I noticed the reviews were fantastic for this seafood restaurant in Clemmons. So had to check it out. Took my cousin there for her birthday. Started off with 1/2 peck (25) fresh raw oysters. Choice of two side dishes. Oh my so yummy. I ordered the entree Seafood Risotto. Creamy Risotto with shrimp, scallops, lobster. Cousin ordered the Blacked Salmon. Both choices were so good. Finished off sharing a Key Lime Pie. Service was excellent. And I noted have daily specials. Will be back.

Garlic Scallops, great portion, huge scallops, enough garlic to dip the bread!

This is one of our favorite spots, and definitely our #1 seafood restaurant in the area, that's why I was so excited that my sister picked for her birthday dinner. Even though we were a group of 7, our server came over right away and asked us to give her a few minutes to put an area together for us. This is hard to do because the set up is like a horseshoe shaped bar and it's 1st come, 1st serve. Usually it's hard to get more than 4 seats together. Within minutes she had us set up and seated. Our drink order was taken right away, followed by our dinner order. They always automatically bring you out a small plate of their semi smashed red potatoes, so soft and tasty. Not mashed but not whole either, just perfect. I got a bowl of NE Clam Chowder which never disappoints. Creamy, with sliced soft potatoes and whole pieces of clams, delectable. I was asked if I wanted half New England & Half Crab bisque but I unfortunately declined. My sister got it and let me try it, I quickly regretted not getting it. It gave it this little extra flavor and spicy kick that worked. I also got the Moon Rockets, which is their take on Rockefeller Oysters. As always, super fresh oysters and a creamy spinach baked on top, succulent. I also ordered a dozen steamed clams and ending up adding them to my wife's order of Seafood Mornay. A creamy penne pasta with large shrimp and scallops plus veggies in an Alfredo sauce. I tried some there and had the leftovers the next day and it was still as good as it was at the restaurant. My daughter got a crab dip that came with a huge loaf of bread. She loved it and I believe her. Everyone was happy with their orders and bar drinks. The service was on point and impeccable. I highly recommend them for your seafood nights or even if you just want to stop by for a drink!

I have had so many great oysters ! We ordered 3 dozen on Monday 95 cent night. Every one was huge , fresh and tasty!! There was four of us, also ordered was a wedge salad with shrimp, a pound of steamed shrimp, a ahi tuna and calamari. All we're spectacular. All that , 6 drinks and bill was under $150. And a major tip. If going on mondays for the 95 cent oysters, get in line before opening. It filled the bar in 3 minutes.

Still loving this place and the great staff. Oysters are consistently amazing and you have got to try the crab dip.....amazing! You can't walk out of here without having the feeling staff are invested in your experience being top notch.

Full Moon Oyster Bar is a great place for fresh oysters, multiple seafood dishes, appetizers and salads. They have several beers on tap with some brewed on site, bottled beer and a full bar. You enter into a bar in a separate smaller room. The night we visited there they had live music in this area. The next room is the oyster bar. All the seating is around a really large bar where they shuck the oysters. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and all the servers were friendly. We will definitely be back. This restaurant is a 9/10 for me.

    Side of potatoes

Me and my mom stopped by Full Moon Oyster Bar for dinner a few nights ago. I got the low country shrimp boil and it comes with a side of potatoes. The shrimp were large and decently seasoned. The boil came with shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn, and a slice of bread. The sausage and shrimp were pretty good but the rest was not the best. The potatoes in the boil were undercooked and hard and the corn was bland with no seasoning. I've been here a few other times and the food was better so I'm thinking it was just an off night. Also, I think since oysters are their specialty, that's what I'd recommend getting. I personally don't like oysters so that's why I opted for shrimp but everyone I've came with that's got them say they are very good!

If you have enough butter and sauces you can add some flavor, but a lot of the blandness remains, for me anyway. I've had seafood boils on the beach at Cape Cod, Hyman's Seafood in Charleston, and Willie's Boil House in the French Quarter, among others. And I was blown away by none. In a discussion with a friend, he disagreed with my position and suggested I give some local spots a try, and be very generous with all types of accompanying sauces, especially spicy ones, and don't skip the butter! So I am planning to try a few spots heading into the new year, starting with this spot. I ordered the weekend special, shrimp, lobster tail, and small crab cluster. This comes with potatoes and corn. This was not at all a bad meal, the shrimp were very tasty. The lobster tail was a bit chewy though the flavor was nice. The crab cluster produced some nice bits of meat, but this was a very small cluster. The veggies were just ok, on the dull side. While not all bad, this was very expensive and I would not come close to ordering this again - in fact I don't see a return visit, period!

Not only did I have the pleasure of trying this absolutely amazing dish, I had the pleasure of having leftovers. Let me tell y'all. This? This is food. This is where culture means Cajun. This is where innovation meets culinary. A quick run down of what we're looking at here. First, I have the seafood boat. A LITERAL boat topped with a fish as the sail. Ugly fish staring at me, but absolutely delicious. Crispy. Yummy. The boat had the BEST ceviche I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. Fresh, seafoody, and scrumptious. Pair this with crab, extremely crispy fried shrimp, oysters, more shrimp, and so many things I could write a post about just this item and still feel like it's not enough. Second, I have the House Sauce Seafood Boil. Now, this is just the prototype. They're also wanting to add sausage to this, make different types, as well as do a headless shrimp version. This was... What can I say? Delicious? Juicy? Scrumptious? What I do know to say is this: I'd buy it again. It was massive, it was filling, it was messy. Last and not least, we have the Super Fajitas. 4 kinds of meat, vegetables, tortillas. This is a meat lover's dream with sour cream. Delectable. Sizzling. Fresh. Mmm. Leftovers. The fancy drink? Locarita. Pink Flamingo or something like that. That was allllll my wife's and she savored every sip. There was more than enough food here. We ended up with enough leftovers to last us a year, I swear. Try it out. Let me know. Let's geek out about fresh food from a fantastic staff with the best food, and honestly, the best family environment. Bonus picture of my wife kissing the ugly fish. She's my better half and the more adventurous eater.

The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is warm, and the energy is just good. You can tell immediately that a lot of heart, time, and pride went into creating this space. We originally planned on getting queso and chips, but the owner recommended the seafood dip instead... and I'm thankful we listened. It was creamy, rich, and loaded with seafood. So good that at times we were literally asking each other, "Wait... what seafood is this?" -- and we didn't care because every bite was amazing. Then came the Barco El Patrón seafood boat, and whew. That thing is no joke. The presentation alone is impressive, but the flavor and portion size took it to another level. This is absolutely a shareable dish -- enough food for multiple people -- and you can tell a lot of effort goes into making it just right. My birria taquitos were hands down the best birria I've had in North Carolina. Crispy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with care. Every bite was worth it. And let's talk about the drinks. I had a cocktail flight created by Erica, and every single one was delicious. Balanced, smooth, and full of flavor -- not overly strong, just made really well. I enjoyed all four without feeling overwhelmed, which says a lot. But honestly, what stood out the most was the hospitality. Erica and her husband were kind, attentive, and genuinely thankful that we were there. They even refused our tips, which just shows the type of people they are. You can feel the love they have for their business and their customers. This is the kind of place you're happy to support. Amazing food, great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and people who truly care. We'll definitely be back.
