    Salmon BLT--delicious
    Heather N.

This is a comfortable bar & restaurant with good atmosphere and great service. The salmon BLT special and the Cuban sandwich were delicious!! Our friends loved their burgers. I could do without the sides though... black beans & rice were bland and Caesar was underdressed and underwhelming. They have a good cocktail & beer menu.

Three stars for the service as they seem to try at first but once we ordered it went downhill. We sat outside as it was a beautiful warm evening. After sitting down there were constant bugs and beetles falling on our table out of nowhere. Our server promptly informed us a card must be put on file before orders are placed. Once we did that and placed our order we felt forgotten as no one came back to the table until they delivered our meals. We ordered buffalo chicken wings which we moist on the inside and had a decent amount of sauce on them. Good but not enough to come back. The Cuban sandwich was subpar at best as it had little to no meat on it and was barely toasted as the cheese was no melted at all. We paid for the $3 up charge for seasoned fries. They were cold and completely undercooked. Getting our check seemed impossible as no staff had been coming outside and we were waiting a solid 20+ minutes after finishing eating. Safe to say we will not be returning.

This is one of the best places in downtown Saint Pete. Not only as the staff friendly kind and quick. Most of them have worked there for many years. The food is always made from scratch and fresh. Anytime I go I always feel like I'm a part of a family. If you have friends who like watching sports, they have several TVs on with different games going on. I highly recommend this place. It's a great place for everyone.

For a bar (and not for a bar), the food is stellar. Get the blackened mojo wings and thank me later! I love that it's always mood lighting and dim ambiance. The playlist always hits! I love their drinks. Service was friendly, but slow in a European way. The bar gives a lowkey-seat yourself-stay a while vibe. A good post-work hang!

Enjoyed dinner here on a rainy night. Service was great - got our drinks quickly & were by often to check on us & take our order - Edamame dumplings with a tasty slaw was delish! 2 people from our table enjoyed the Don Pollo sandwich, 1 person got the cheeseburger, & I got the coconut shrimp. We all enjoyed our food & drinks. Atmosphere is like a dive bar, dark inside & casual - great for us!

Great place Amazing staff good food great pricing !!!Def come!!Had the grouper sandwich delicious!!!

Another awesome trip to the Galley! Came with a friend who was visiting to watch some games and have some food/drinks. I usually stick with beer or seltzer here but tried a cocktail this time - it was veryyy strong! Their food menu is incredibly diverse - how many places can you get both cheese & steak fries and a fried tofu bowl? Our table ordered both and a few other things too! Service was great, ambience was good - not too quiet, not too crazy. My only downside is that it is always really cold in here so I have to remember to bring a jacket!

Not near the beach, no views of anything but a busy street, never the less was a busy place. We ate there- didn't have fish, but had corned beef and cabbage meal and a cheeseburger. We were dissapointed. The bartenders were attentive and nice- even though they were busy.

Searched around for a spot to meet a friend for dinner in a casual spot. Yelp guided me to The Galley and it did not disappoint. It truly looks like a dive bar as you enter, with a full maritime themed bar to the left, hightops in the center and a booths along the right wall. There were only a few patrons on this Wednesday, but it was only 6:30 and this is primarily a drinking establishment. Service was quick and friendly. The menu is pretty comprehensive, and as luck would have it, Weds is Prime Rib night. And Prime Rib it was! The fresh sliced steak was perfect - rare, juicy, flavorful. It's served with potatoes and a veggie, all for $16.95! This was on par with the best prime rib I've eaten. Excellent food and great deal. Certainly not white tablecloth service... but the food is great. And there's an extensive array of bourbon to sip, as an added bonus.

**** Review 149 **** While driving around, I decided to top in for a quick lunch. I've been here before, but it was a few years back and couldn't remember the food, just remembered that it was good service. The decor is cool, I think they were going for an old pirate ship style, with great music in the background. Drinks are pretty much what you expect for a downtown spot, but they do have specials. (FYI: the W-F specials start at 6pm). I ordered the Cuban Bowl, itms their take on the Cuban sandwich without the bread. The portion was more than satisfying. The pulled pork was on point! Over all, this dish was superb. The staff are really friendly and very accommodating. Now I was here for a late lunch, so it wasn't packed. Last time I was here, it was packed and their staff was still great. Some of their other menu items include fresh local Grouper, maybe I'll try it next time. Over all, I've had a great experience. I highly recommend it if you're downtown St. Pete.

A welcome reprieve in the heart of St Pete. It's been a long day for this working mama and I needed some good food and some potent drinks. I came here on a Wednesday night, hoping for some prime rib. It was sold out in an hour and a half. I guess it's a hotspot how I never knew about it? I don't know....I had the calamari and the sweet potato and sausage soup instead. It was delicious and def a comfort food. The warm wood ambiance and great service made me want to come back next Wednesday and the Wednesday after. I popped in next-door for some espresso martinis with Bartender, Brian and enjoyed my time after a long days work It's a local spot with Saint Petersburg's finest at the bar, shooting in the shhhhh and joking about their business days I'll definitely be back to this spot, not only for the reasonably priced libations but also just for the good vibes. Five stars

Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.

Surprisingly mild on flavor despite the toppings, and it's a BIG boy... which I know some people love, but I tend to prefer a smash burger so I'll take partial responsibility for that note! The fries, however, were excellent... textured, crispy, exactly how fries should be. The real standout of the visit was the chilaquiles (the chef's brunch special). It ran a little dry, but the flavors more than made up for it. The combination of crunchy tortilla chips, smoky sauce, pickled onions, egg, avocado, and cilantro all together was just so good... my boyfriend was equally obsessed. Would absolutely order again. This time (Apr 2026) we started with a creamily delicious ice-cold nitro beer. It was Milk Bone stout, locally crafted, toffee-flavored and lightly sweet from lactose. Pinellas Ale Works says it's almost a cafe con leche :-). It looks like they serve a larger pour of nitro-Guinness, if you like. Y'know, small nitro bubbles (around 25% to 30% CO2) create a smooth mouth-feel and, to me, seem much easier to imbibe than most beers' carbonation (100% CO2). Many places don't put in the extra equipment to serve nitro beers, so Thank You to The Burg! Their eat-in special is different every weekday. On this Wednesday (Apr 2026), it was $2 off their Cuban. Thin tender flavorful ham, pork, and salami, lightly bite-y Swiss cheese, and bright tart pickles, with plain yellow mustard & mayo. All pressed into hot bread. Perfectly savory and delicious! Except ... It wasnt Cuban bread, or any crusty bread, it was a hoagie roll :-( The bread wasnt even toasted! Hey! Mostly-excellent Burg, This is Tampa Bay, home of Cuban sandwiches! Do it right! Dunno if it was just an off-day bread-wise? My nearly-perfect Burg, please tweak this one thing. Yet they still earned that 5th star with their freshly hand-made very good lightly-seasoned crispy crispy Burg chips. We live for crunch! And you can upgrade the side to black-beans and rice, so, yeah, on target :-) And they let us go slightly off-menu with a BLT, which on the menu is part of a soup and sandwich combo. Lots of hot thin crispy bacon, sweet fresh tomatoes and lettuce, on lightly toasted bread. Very satisfying. The Burg Bar & Grill is pleasantly relaxed with a nicer-than-divey feel. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick with that cold cold beer! The food is only a Cuban-roll away from Perfect :-)

He surprised even surprised us at the end of the meal with a complimentary dessert. He explained that they tried a different recipe that day. We told him they should go back to the original one because it is much better. For my meal, I ordered the Teak house salad with blackened chicken. It's one of my favorite salads and I could eat it every day! It comes with mandarin oranges, strawberries, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons and a delicious sesame pineapple dressing. At these prices we had hoped to be wowed by everything. But the service - uggh. The hostess seemed bored. The waiter seemed sluggish and indifferent. Sure, the waiter tried a few upsells, but his heart just wasn't in it. He came across as inexperienced, not particularly happy to be working, and it took a few tries to flag him down when we needed him. Here's the thing - Teak has gone to an automatic 20% gratuity on every check. That means that no matter how mediocre the service, we are still leaving a hefty tip - and the waiter knows it. And this place is not cheap. When we pay 20% autogratuity (and then pay sales tax on that gratuity) the cost of dinner is easily $150 for two people. At that price we should be getting excellent service even if the waiter is not having his best day. Until Teak can make that happen we probably won't come back.

Since we still had a full glass of wine, we moved to the bar when seats opened up, the bar that was across from our table. There were very nice old married men at the bar that were persistent & offered to buy us desserts and more drinks. It was random & I thought that was strange. My friend that I was with took them up on the offer & I took photos of them together at the bar. The same hostess came up to us 30 minutes later when we didn't even get our desserts yet and told us that our time was up at the bar that we had to leave. So I had asked her what her problem was & I told her I had spent over $100 on steak at my table where I was actually kicked out of the table shorty after the steak arrived. She just rolled her eyes at me and left. A different young lady had come up to us and apologized for her. The owners Beau & Mo (never introduced themselves to us, were told by patrons next to us who they were) were there immaturely huffing & puffing in front of us the entire time at the bar behind the counter. After finishing our dessert & more drinks that the guys next to us bought us, my friend was talking to her neighbors that arrived, & then we left on our own. The next day including the several days afterwards, my friend & I received stalking phone calls, msgs stating the owners are affiliated with the people that could physically hurt us & to seriously watch our backs. I assume it was Beau & Mo that sent us the msgs. The language sounded like them under fake names. The owners had others harass & stalk us. I had to disconnect my phone# due to harassment. My friend was very scared for her life. They were watching her every move & calling her out even on her name change saying they saw it. She's in St Pete & frequently volunteers for St Pete community Depts & works for Pinellas County, so her local friends/coworkers in the St Pete community had contacted her the morning of and stated that Beau & Mo posted lies on St Pete Industry group pages & told the public to find us & harass/stalk us. Her friends sent her screenshots of every single Beau & Mo posting of lies/asking the community to stalk us/do harm by posting her contact info & where she lives/works. She went thru over a month of emotional agony from the threats. We did nothing wrong to deserve this poor treatment. I spent over $100 alone on myself. We were kicked out of our table within 56 mins at the table & told to leave the bar after 30 mins at the bar. I assume they were trying to turn tables (did we not spend enough?), however, we noticed they didn't ask anyone else to leave. This was my 1st time here. Def won't be back. ****The owners banned/harassed/stalked us due to our 1 star reviews (also, see review by my best friend Sheila H.).**** My friend & I reported all this to the police & the Pinellas county offices. I don't live in St Pete so a little tougher to maneuver, however, my boyfriend is a managing partner of his law firm in FL & luckily talking to him about it has lessened the terrifying experience after leaving this restaurant. My friend filed a report with the police in person to the police since she was scared for her life. She had stated the officer advised her to take legal action due to the info she showed of what Beau & Mo posted online about her. Side note, my boyfriend (he never dined here before) had made a resy for us a few months back since my good friend (the girl I was with during this horrible dining experience) recommended this place, however, we needed to cancel & he cancelled several days in advance knowing there's a no-show charge & short notice cancel fee. The restaurant still charged anyway. Other reviews said they had to leave a VM too to cancel days in advance & was still charged $50. He didn't make a big stink or try to get a refund from these scammers. Looking back, we never should have OK'd glasses of wine offered at HH prices. Stuck to our plan on leaving after our current glass of wine, we would have never had to deal with this insanity. We won't be recommending. The food we were served were similar to 1 star reviews which highlighted high # of likes for a 1star. That says A LOT.
