I ordered twice through this company. The first order was for six decks of Oracle cards. Each deck was supposed to have 47 individual cards. When I received the decks after a long wait each deck was missing the same three cards. On my second order, we made sure everything was correct, although we don't know why the three cards were missing. The second order was for five decks. I received the five decks after a long wait. I opened the first deck and although it had 47 cards, there were seven or eight of the same cards in multiples of five. I opened the next deck and it was the same thing only with different cards, after opening all five decks and sorting through them, there were five complete decks. What if I had sold the decks without opening them and checking them, somebody would've received five of the same seven or eight cards. I am waiting to hear back from them, although I'm not very sure based on other reviews that anything will be resolved. Before I received the second order, I ordered another 25 decks, however, because the second order was messed up I canceled the third order. I now have a credit of 800+ dollars from game crafters and wonder if I will ever get that money back because I don't think I will order anything through them again because they can't seem to get my order straight. To be fair, the quality of the cards were great. The organization and packing was horrendous. read more

The quality of their product is fine. It's the customer service that is an absolute trainwreck-- extremely unprofessional and not at all customer oriented. They cancelled my order because of a copyright issue, never reached out to ask if I had bought permission for the art (I had). I emailed to ask about this, and the customer service reps (two of them) just argued with me for a week defensively, told my how I was just one of thousands of customers and that they couldn't possibly have time to email me about a copyright issue. Yet they apparently have time to argue with customers for a week after the fact. Basically told me, "Welp, company policy!" I own a small business myself, and if I had employees dealing with customers the way these two did, I would be livid. On the plus side, I've printed out the email chain between them and me, and am using it as a teaching tool for my business on how NOT to turn a customer with a question into a frustrated customer into an angry customer into an ex-customer. I initially sat in their queue for 11 days, made it up to 94 in the queue, before they cancelled my order. After they unlocked my game, I had to re-order and now I'm back at #968 in the queue. Just no attempt to keep me as a customer or help me through the process of getting my game printed. read more

I ordered custom dice. They were all printed badly off-center. I was told that was normal. You'd think if they can be consistently off-center they could apply the same consistency to do things right, but apparently not. I'm never buying from them again. read more

This company refuses to take responsibility when they made an error. They cut my cards too close to the edge and claimed it was a "drift" issue, when clearly it was a poor cut job and no one checked them to make sure they turned out good. Now I am out a substantial amount of money and missed my deadline. I wouldn't trust this company to print anything. read more

The Game Crafter deserves a good review! It's never been easier to turn your ideas into playable, well made games. They'll make anything from silly drinking games to elaborate board games. The templates they offer are very helpful and easy to use. The artwork on my purchases always comes out looking spectacular. You can tell the game crafters are detail oriented and care about the product, and if there's ever a mistake made, they'll fix it immediately. I'll definitely continue to order cards and games from these guys! read more

I ordered a tarot deck, and I was expecting it to be the traditional size, and unfortunately, it was the size of playing cards. When the cards and book arrived, there was a printing mistake ON THERE END! I tried reaching out, and no one got back to me... Buyer beware! Game Crafter is a horrible company to work with. If the flimsy card stock (which they CLAIM is the same as MtG), card drift, and tonal coloration weren't bad enough, it was all made 10x worse by the horrible customer service. No empathy. I bought a custom board game from TGC. They shipped it in a small, flimsy box without suitable packing material, and the box was damaged. (see pic 1) The game components were undamaged. TGC responded quickly to my emailed complaint and offered to replace the box free of charge. I asked them to use a larger box with suitable packing material (according to USPS' guidelines) but they sent it in another flimsy box with barely any packing material. Surprise surprise, the replacement box was ALSO damaged. This is a Christmas gift for a family member. With 5 days left until Christmas, there isn't enough time to get another replacement (and I bet you anything that it would be inadequately packed and damaged.) It's obvious that whoever packs their boxes isn't doing their job properly, and this is resulting in damaged shipments. Too bad - I can tell that they really do care about their customers, even if their shipping department is incompetent. I'm going to avoid doing business with them in the future, and if you care at all about the integrity of your game boxes, I recommend that you do too. I was displeased with my purchase from The Game Crafter (particularly the service received - they were incredibly rude).

I have used the Game Crafter for many, many prototypes of games I have designed. I cannot say that I am anything but pleased with their product and service. All of the complaints I have read about color variations and drift is clearly stated on the website and in the tutorials and they give ideas on how to design your game to minimize these discrepancies. They also have recommended resolution for the images used on various printed components. If you read/watch the tutorials carefully, take your time in designing according to their instructions, and realize that the color you see on your computer screen will look different when it is printed on a piece of card stock, you can't go wrong. The various groups I have had play test my games have all commented on the quality of the prototypes and asked where I got them from. I never heard any negative comments from any of them concerning the quality of the game components. With all the tutorials and the plethora of printed and non-printed components The Game Crafter makes it very easy for any game designer, whether hobbyist or entrepreneur, to see and hold their vision in their hands. I couldn't recommend them enough! read more
