I come here at least once a week, usually 2-3 times! They serve Peet's coffee and Espresso and the drinks are TASTEEEE! The prices are low and all the money goes to charity. All the workers are volunteers. The space is big and open and has a great vibe. Free wifi and tables with lamps. Bring your laptop and work for the day. They are open 7am to 8pm. The cookies are the bomb. They also have salads and smoothies. Park in the big lot on the north side of the church. AWESOME place!!

Much needed caffeine from the friendliest staff!

I also someone get a big bag of beans to take home so it is nice for locals to get whatever bean roast they prefer. The inside does not provide much seating so I would not use this place for studying or doing work. It is more of a grab and go place. I got the vanilla blueberry latte. It tasted exactly like a blueberry waffle. It was a good mild flavor but did not have enough caffeine for me. Because it is in a random spot of Roseville I'm not sure if this is a place I would go out of my way for but if you are near the shop you can get your weekly beans here!

They didn't load it up with ice like most do. Overall, would go back but probably wouldn't crave it too often. It's more creamier than it is fruity which I don't always lean towards. Also, not as strong caffeine wise. The service itself was fine. I do agree with the other reviews about the staffs attitude. The girl who took my order was kind and made our pup cup from scratch but as a whole, it feels like they took the girls who worked at Brandy Melville and placed them here instead.

TL;DR: the double matcha (less sweet*) tied for the best matcha I've ever had in Sac and…read moresurrounding areas. Best matcha is from Offbeat coffee in sac, but the double at Gu Ca Phe is just as good and has its own unique charm. Worth the price, worth the drive! Amazing. If I got it with normal sweetness, I don't think I'd love it as much. Long version: Cute little spot in an unsuspecting location. I don't live in Roseville but was here for an appointment so I stopped by since this place has been on my list. After trying dozens of matchas in Sacramento and surrounding areas, this one definitely rivals the top spot. It's a small location and the service was nice and pretty standard. They also have a kiosk so you can take extra time to scroll through the menu with photos. Not a fan of the AI artwork throughout if I'm being honest but I know it's a sign of the times. And I'm glad their drinks actually do look pretty damn close to the photos unlike other businesses. I got the regular size double matcha, less sweet. If it was regular sweetness, I don't think I'd like it as much. The matcha is good quality, seems like it was freshly handwhisked but not sure. It is strong without being astringent. The matcha cream is amazing and strong as well. You def have to love matcha to enjoy this one. It's going to be stronger than something you find at Starbucks of course. I love matcha to hit me in the face so this drink was perfect. They have the good ice, too ! A similar matcha I've tried, and is my personal #1 across dozens I've tried, is from Offbeat Coffee (x2 matcha). Gu Ca Phe has finessed something similar and I honestly feel like it would be worth the drive from West Sac to Roseville just for Gu Ca Phe's double matcha. I want to try their other drinks. The sugar croiffle was delicious, too!

The interior is small but clean and brightly lit. The coffee is good but weaker than I expect when getting Vietnamese coffee. It is phin dripped, and the classic flavor is there, but less creamy texture. Traditionally the brew is very strong and mixed with condensed milk only - the ice in this instance is necessary to balance the boldness. In this coffee, between the added milk and large amount of ice, it is watered down and not the full bodied experience you would expect. Overall still a good cup, and probably the best you can get in the immediate area, but not wholly satisfying if you are seeking the traditional Vietnamese coffee flavor.

I'll be honest, the Ethiopian I started with wasn't really showing how I expected. It felt a little muted and flat to me. But here's where it flipped, he actually checked back in, asked what I thought, and instead of brushing it off, he was like "yeah... you're right." That alone tells you a lot. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. This feels like a shop that's still evolving in a good way.

I was honestly so excited to go to this place. This coffee bar is actually quite hidden, as they are located right behind the Village General Store on Vernon. There's quite a bit of parking when the storefront is closed, so you wouldn't even expect a wait at all. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville. They also used quite premium-grade matcha that made it taste really good with the whole milk they mixed in eventually. The ambiance and the hospitality was one of the best out there, and I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Sacramento!

Drinking 3/4 of a regular-sized cup carried me through the whole day! Taste-wise, pretty good as well and actually reminded me of pumpkin pie lol. Quite noticeable pumpkin flavor, and the brew itself gave a smooth and toasty flair (like the crust part of a pumpkin pie :p). Another seasonal drink that I tried was the pumpkin cold foam chai, and it pretty much was like a melted milkshake with a little bit of chai flavor lol. Didn't notice much pumpkin at all. Too milky for my liking, but if you're a fan of Starbucks Frappucinos, then this might be the seasonal drink for you. As for the desserts here, I enjoyed the eclair (nicely assembled and had smooth and rich dark chocolate on it) but was disappointed on the fruit tart (the fruit toppings were vibrant and plump, but the custard was missing a strong vanilla taste and I wasn't a fan of the egg-white-based crust that ended up sticking to the foil cardboard base). Friendly staff. Super cozy cafe vibes especially with the pothos houseplants (so cute that water propagations of cuttings are table decor). Ample lot parking.
