TLDR: Top 5 pork chops So, my wife loves pork chops. For her birthday, I decided to find a place with good chops. It was a bit tougher than expected. I wanted a restaurant that serves nice THICK pork chops, grilled to perfection. Seems like a lot of them are located around Los Gatos... So here we are, for her special day! The best porkchop she's had in California was in Half Moon Bay. Unfortunately, I think the restaurant has closed... It was called Cetrella. But Asa might have the second best pork chop she's ever had. And so, since Cetrella has closed, this has become the new de-facto best porkchop! For that reason, this place gets 5 stars. I had a bit of it. It was cooked so well, white flesh all around, no pink at all. I think it was grilled and not sous-vide because she's had it done SV style and it still wass pink in the middle, even though it was all "thoroughly cooked". But despite the well-done, it was still juicy and soft! Pork is SOOO Easy to get dry. And especially since this is a thick chop. It was great! And no sauce... just an herb rub. I ordered the steak... it was cooked well. I've had better, and I generally prefer rib-eye over New York. But it wasn't bad at all. Just a little chewier than I would have liked. Plus $50 for a 12 oz, seemed a bit steep. I'd rather have ordered the pork chop. We also ordered the Chili Fries, which were a little too salty. But the taste was really good, and the fries were crunchy. If you dip them in the aioli, it's not as salty. For special occasions, my wife likes to treat herself to a cocktail. She really liked the Peach Punch with the Clarified Milk. It had a heavy dose of rum, and not too sweet. Plus it looked very pretty! We had 3 desserts! The basque cheesecake was ok... it looked deflated on one side, so it didn't look that appetizing. The taste was ok, it's not my favorite type of cheesecake... too airy for my taste. Almost like a souffle. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies though! Freshly baked, huge and gooey. It was definitely worth the $15 for the 4 cookies. Worthy of some of the best bakeries I've been to! Finally, for her birthday celebration, the restaurant gave my wife a complimentary cocktail ice cream. It's kinda funny, she could really taste the alcohol, whereas all I could taste was the banana. But we both agreed it was a great ice cream. She hates ice cream and she still finished almost a third of it! The ambiance is a bit loud. Not a romantic atmosphere, but it's not a club atmosphere either. The service was great... the waiter and busboys were super attentive to us, even though the place was pretty packed. The host was also super friendly. Highly recommend this place! The one bad thing about this is, since it's attached to the Best Western, it's hard to find parking. Most places say it's for hotel parking only, so you'd have to generally park on the street, unless you get really lucky and find a non-hotel parking spot in the lot. read more

After years of wanting to come here, I'm happy to report that Asa lived up to the hype that I created in my head. Food, service, and ambiance were all great! To eat three of us shared some apps, mains, and desserts. We started with the Mixed greens and heirloom beets salad and Delicata squash, then got the Mushroom pasta and Argentinian steak, and finished with the Molten chocolate bomb and Basque style cheesecake. The starters were good, they just weren't my first choice, there were others on the seafood section that I wanted to try more, but that's a reason to go back. Both entrées were great, the steak was cooked perfectly with the most delicious chimichurri, and I couldn't get enough of the mushroom pasta. I would get either of these again. I was still a little hungry after the food, but that left room for dessert and not leaving the restaurant uncomfortably stuffed. We brought our own bottle of wine but also got cocktails there. I didn't like my cocktail very much, but everyone else liked thiers, and I tried a sip of the martini and really liked that. They did have a pretty massive wine selection, so very easy to find something you'll like. We made fairly last minute reservations the day before we wanted to go, three of us looked and all got different availability options on open table, but luckily it allowed me to book. The only option was the covered outdoor patio on what was a very intense rainy night, but that patio is sturdy and rain resistant. A nice surprise ina best western parking lot. I guess in Los Gatos great things can be anywhere. Had the steak and the pasta for dinner and the steak was pretty well prepared but for some reason it didn't seems like a premium cut. The meat wasn't as tender as I would expect for a $55 petit cut of NY. The pasta was the spicy version but it want spicy at all. Not sure the noodles were made fresh. The sauce was well proportioned to the pasta and freshly grated Parmesan was a good addition. We LOVED the cucumber salad and highly recommend. It was probably the best thing we ate. We finished with the panda cotta which was very flavorful and had good texture as panda cotta can come too gelatinous and firm or too runny. This was done well with fresh berries on top. All in all we enjoyed our dinner and the service was impeccable. I won't order the steak next time but venture out to another entree like the pork chop. read more

Very interesting location as it's right in the same parking lot as a best western hotel and next to an apartment complex. The parking lot gets pretty full. The restaurant was also almost full when we came here on a weekend for dinner! They have a lot of wines showcased on the wall and walkway to the bathroom. We didn't try any wines here. We got the mushroom starter, o m g so good. Had a slight spicy kick to it that was perfect. And the mushroom was sliced so thinly and presentation was great! We ordered the lamb and the Australian steak and frites. We ordered both of them medium rare. The lamb was super good. The Australian lamb was a little bit chewy. The fries were so good and crunchy! I brought a group of 5 for a 6pm Saturday reservation as part of my sister's bachelorette weekend. We had a great time here! Parking wasn't too bad at 6pm (we could park in the middle areas of the hotel parking lot) but by the time we left, the parking lot was full. Our server Silvia was friendly and checked in with us frequently to see if we needed anything else. She provided us with recommendations at the top and when we were asking questions about getting multiple dishes family-style, she provided feedback on whether it would be enough for the table. We felt well-attended to. Asa does rotate through their menu and the main downside was timing for us! My sister really wanted the carbonara she had seen on the menu but they had literally switched over to their spring menu. No carbonara for my sis. :( We shared: Jamon Iberico (good, straightforward), Caesar salad (I wish I had had my own! Really well dressed), trumpet mushrooms (the vinegar was a little too strong for my sister but I thought it was tasty and delicious), cauliflower (sister's favorite dish), spring pasta à la vodka (good, although it didn't particularly stand out in my opinion), exotic mushroom rigatoni (delicious!) and my favorite, the Argentine steak. The chimichurri sauce was perfect to balance out the meat, and I loved dipping the fries in the remnants of the sauce. Only 2 of us got dessert and we both chose the olio nuevo ice cream. Really enjoyed this place. Ambiance is very inviting and well decorated. Comfortable and modern vibe with an earthy feel. Service was excellent- from the hostess to the server to the sommelier, on point, on time, friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and well prepared. Only con is the price at $38 seems steep. 4.25 stars - Delica squash: fresh squash with a delightful cashew puree and brown butter pomegranate sauce elements. Beautifully plated stacked. One of the surprise stars of the night. 4.25 stars - Shrimp: great size of shrimp and amount (6), perfect cook, but surprisingly needed more flavor in the seasoning and sauce. 3.75 stars Midlights: - No champagne by the glass Lowlights: - Crab pasta special: spaghetti with small bits of shredded crab in a tomato sauce overwhelmed it. I was so excited to see this being crab season here, but was disappointed. 2.5 stars - Random location: in a Best Western parking lot across the freeway in a remote area not in downtown. We have a few drink spots we like to hit up downtown before we go to dinner that are walkable so this isn't optimal. Overall wonderful dinner experience here. They are located in a hotel parking lot, so unfortunately a bit separate from downtown Los Gatos. At least parking was easy! I would recommend making a reservation before dining on the weekends as it did end up being a pretty full house. Ambience is more on the classic, romantic side with the type of lighting so dim you do need that mini table lamp to read the menu. Our server was excellent and explained the dishes and specials well. Broccolli soup- one of their specials of the day-- pureed soup that the server mentioned tasted more of potato than brocolli which was accurate. Nice warm dish (not too creamy) for a winter evening! Also started with the Smoked trout dip: never met a smoked trout dip that I didn't like, and was glad to see it on the menu. they provide house made chips, just wish it came with more chips- it was more of a decorative amount of chips. Trumpet mushrooms: i love mushrooms but guess I don't know my mushrooms well enough- and this was was a block of thin slivers - it was delicate on the tongue and we enjoyed it . The fish of the day was a white fish and just excellent - super juicy and tender . As with every dish I was left wanting more of it ! Delicious dinner - everything was great . The Spanish and Italian influences are noticeable, but most importantly it was executed well -- fish was fatty, flavorful and perfectly cooked; steak was a spot on medium and the accompanying fries were crispy. The suggested Syrah paired nicely as well. Desert was fresh and rich at the same time. The setting is fairly dimly lit and more on the romantic side, and the service was impeccable. From the moment I tried to make a reservation, the experience already felt special. I asked for an indoor table and a very kind gentleman went out of his way to make it happen. They were genuinely accommodating even before we arrived. The ambiance is warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxed and comfortable evening. Their cocktail menu really stands out. It is creative and thoughtfully curated, featuring house infused spirits and layered, well balanced flavors. The food menu is just as thoughtful. What a wonderful dinner once again at Asa Restaurant in Los Gatos. The vibe and the energy here is always incredible. Our go to for my husband's Birthday dinner or any other special occasions. Tonight, We had the Caesar Salad, the Exotic Mushroom pasta, the Arrabbiata pasta, The large New York Steak (with extra broccoli) and the Shrimp appetizer and all were divine. The Lloyd Chardonnay & The Small Vines Pinot were our wine choices & paired well with our dinner. We finished with ice cream & the Galette for the Birthday Boy & both were so good. I'm actually quite surprised that I haven't been here in the many years since Asa has opened. I've been on their mailing list and get their weekly specials and it always looks great, but was candidly a little put off by being right next-door to the Best Western. First off the restaurant is actually really modern with a nice vibe which helps you forget the restaurant is practically connected to a hotel. I will admit when we first got there I was a little dismayed, as there was a lot of weight staff many of them just standing around and looking at us not doing anything while we waited. About three minutes at the host stand waiting for someone to greet us. Once the hostess did the service from that point on was actually really good for the whole evening it actually felt like the staff were really connected to the food and the restaurant which brought a warmer feeling to the whole evening. As for the food, we started with some croquettes which were small bites, but packed with flavor. Great way to start the meal. I had the half duck which was absolutely perfectly cooked, medium rare. The leg and thigh were perfectly crisp while the breast was so moist and tender. I think it was actually one of the best cooked ducks that I've ever had. My wife had the halibut special which surprisingly came out not super hot and the fish was unfortunately slightly overcooked and dry. Certainly a shame compared to the duck and a nice piece of fish. Also, $52. For dessert, they have quite a large set of choices covering all the bases. I had the basque cheesecake with huckleberries which was light and refreshing, especially with the berries. My wife ordered the chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream, which came with four good size cookies which was great to bring home some extra. Though slightly disappointing because the cookies though served warm lacked flavor. We were wondering if maybe some salt was missing? Seems like maybe adding some sea salt on top could be a nice compliment. All in all, though, we had a great meal in a nice evening and glad to try and support a local Los Gatos restaurant. read more

Michelin 2021? 4.5 stars? How? I am so confused still, 5 days after our dinner there. I hate giving negative reviews, but this restaurant is a joke. (Disclaimers: 1- I am from south of France and I know quite a bit about Paella 2-I was invited but decided to eventually pay for my food so I could write a review without disrespecting my host 3- I cook much, from scratch). Table of 10. We ordered drinks, appetizers to share and various mains. Cocktails were nice (but it took 25-30 mins to get a martini...!) Let me share my friend's experience first, then mine: The 2 friends on my right returned their $24 (!) arrabiata pasta after waiting an hour for their dish. They had obviously been sitting a while in the warming over: dry, mushy, bland. Both friends told me this is "unacceptable" (and I could only concur after trying a bite). On my left, my good friend ate only 1/4 of the steak: too much seasoning and rubbery were her words. I had a bite and indeed, there was nothing I could care for. The icing on the cake was my $38 "paella". How could they even serve this? 4 non deveined shrimps on 2 very mushy, compact Spanish rice 'cakes', topped with canned olives and fresh tomatoes mixed with Spanish chorizo fat based 'sauce'. The rice cake was as mushy and as compact as a potato cake. This was terrible. Overcooked, so soggy and sticking to your mouth. Very far away from a fluffy yet saucy paella. But why non deveined shrimps (see my photos)? Each bite was like I was chewing on sand. For that price? Zero star. People are crazy about the fries...ok they were crispy, and ketchup is homemade. I think they use frozen fries (I could be wrong here). Beet salad had nothing standing out in my opinion. Parking situation is terrible. Oh and... when someone jokingly told our waiter if we could get a free birthday cake and get a happy birthday song he answered "we don't do this Here you can do this at home"... who do you think you are M. Waiter. Couldn't even take a joke. Asa is good for hipster who want to show off (some of those were at my table) and pretend they know anything about cuisine. Parking was easy. It is right next to a hotel. Service was great. They were very attentive. We started with the anchovy bread, which was only ok. I was not blown away. We also had the Montebello zucchini as a starter. It was very flavorful! Not sure if it is worth $20 as an appetizer, but I definitely enjoyed it. I had the argentine steak. The steak was cooked perfectly to my tasting, but the Spanish chimichurri that was on top of the steak was too sour. The house fries and the ketchup was really good. We had the fortune of visiting ASA for the second time in ten months, as were visiting family in the area. What a great meal. We were fortunate to have Jose tale care of us again. His service level is beyond excellent and the owner Andrew visited our table a few times. He is extremely knowledgeable and similar to Jose...quite friendly. It was so nice to chat with both. The Chocolate Martini's were enjoyed by three in party, and I had the Heaven's Gate...so good. Came here with a few girlfriends last night to celebrate a birthday and the service was definitely below subpar. The restaurant is trying to appear as a very sophisticated , sultry, late night dinner location; however, the service we experienced was way below than what we anticipated. First, there was a hair in my salad that I didn't realize until I finished my plate and I found a nice dark little piece of hair mixed in with the salad dressing left on my plate . Our server never came by to ask how everything was tasting once our entrees finally came out. We had to flag our server or other workers for refills our drinks. It was clear we were celebrating a birthday and our server did nothing special for our table. But there was another table seated right next to us and we saw the service she provided to them and what she did for their table who was celebrating a birthday. (Awkwardddd!!) Overall, the service was not great. I'm not sure if it's because we looked younger than the rest of the clientele in the restaurant, but we were not outrageous, we weren't rude, we ordered quickly, and weren't difficult or demanding but it seems like right off the bat our server decided to stereotype our table just because we looked younger ( my guess) we still tipped wayyyyy more than we should have. On top of it all, our server didn't even take the salad off the bill even after I showed her there was a hair and she said she would take care of it. I guess by taking care of it, she meant she would take care of it by taking it away from me. Our server was the quickest when it came time to pay the bill. After we put the card down she was like road runner at the kiosk to make sure she swiped and dropped the check back off. Maybe next time don't judge a book by its cover and give crappy service, C. Having 6 people and sitting at a round table allowed us to all talk to one another. The food was sooo good! All of the women ordered the special, which was delicious! It was swordfish with risotto and butternut squash! The drinks were delicious. I got the fun cocktail called Marigold Sour and my friend ordered the passion fruit. They did my husband's Tito's martini just right! The only resin they did not get 5 stars is because our waitress never asked how we liked our food. Another person delivered our drinks and any person delivered our food. The only time we saw our waitress was when we ordered and when our bill came. We came on a Tuesday evening with a reservation at 6:00 and the restaurant was nearly full. Fortunately, we had no problem finding parking. The decor is appealing and the restaurant is cozy with a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed the Caesar salad, mushroom pasta that actually tasted like mushrooms and the argentine steak. I was a little disappointed with the chewy steak, although the flavor was good and the fries were crispy and moist. My husband enjoyed his glass of wine from the Loire Valley. We went here for Valentine's day and it was the perfect occasion. The parking is a bit tricky, so plan appropriately. My wife had the mushroom pasta, and I had the special which was halibut. the mushroom pasta had a very nice earthy flavor and balance to it. Everything was prepared from a uniquely inspired cuisine perspective . We were pleasantly surprised by all of the dishes that we had. Our server was very mindful of our tastes and even let me try a couple different wines to make sure it was symbiotic with my pallet. Came for dinner on a Friday night. We were seated right away with no issues. The restaurant was definitely busy which is always a good sign in my book. Parking as some have said is tricky as they share the parking lot with the Best Western Hotel. Although signs say hotel parking only, it's OK to park there. Started out with apps (truffle fries, burata and tomato soup special). All were excellent except soup which didn't have much flavor. Our waiter was nice enough to comp it which was a nice touch. Out mains were halibut x2 and the Ahi Tuna. The halibut was amazing and the tuna wasn't too far behind. Highly recommend either. Our waiter, Jose was attentive and provided great service. There had been posts about slow service, but all our dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time and hot. No issues at all. My mom enjoyed the vegetable soup. The steak was perfectly cooked and the chicken was delicious. We also loved the Mac and cheese, we would definitely order again. The portions were also extremely large for the main dishes (excluding the Mac and cheese, that was a good size to share between two as a side). The drinks were good, we really enjoyed the wine. The service was also incredible, pleasant and fast. The ambiance of the restaurant was also amazing! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I love that this restaurant is conveniently located right off the freeway and just outside the busy Los Gatos strip. Parking can be a little tricky on weekends, but the host let us know we could use the "hotel" designated spots, which was a lifesaver. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and a cozy atmosphere. Even though only 2 of our 6 guests had arrived, we were seated right away--a thoughtful gesture we really appreciated. By the time we settled in, every table (including the patio) was full, so I definitely recommend making a reservation if you're planning dinner on the weekend. Great food good service! The restaurant is beautifully designed. We ordered the Caesar salad, croquettes, Seabass special, and the famous mushroom pasta. I think the stand out item was definitely the mushroom pasta it is to die for. I think if you are sharing with your partner like I did, I definitely get a fish because it is a very rich tasting pasta. It was a great experience. I just wish that there was better parking. The parking lot belongs to the hotel and the street parking is nearly impossible... such a great restaurant, but parking is definitely a buzz kill. read more

Loved our dining experience here! The waitresses were very friendly and helped steer us towards the most recommended drinks and dishes towards our taste preferences. I loved my guava tequila drink that had the perfect amount of spice, with subtle hints of jalapeño. We started with the stacked beet salad and it was a hit. The citrusy apple really complimented well with the beets. The truffle fries and ketchup were also delicious and a great start to get us excited about the other dishes. The ketchup being homemade made a huge difference in the taste. The garlic shrimp was heavenly. We had to get a baguette to soak up every last bit of the sauce. ;) The mushroom pasta had equally delicious flavor and sauce that we also dipped the bread in. The beef was so soft and tender. I'm not usually a fan of this dish, but the sauce was above par at ASA. The ham coquettes were something special. These were just as good as the ones I had in Spain last year; a real treat! Compliments to the chef to pull them off. And last, but not least we finished the celebratory dinner with the banana bread pudding! Well worth the 20 minute wait! Extremely poor value and strange service. Let's start with the value: The Jamon Iberico appetizer/small plate (ham/prosciutto and bread). Priced at $35 -- it was the smallest amount of ham, and a tiny little baguette. I've dined at thousands of restaurants, and this was the poorest value I've ever seen in a dish. Service: I ordered a glass of wine. The waitress sniffs the wine after opening it. Who does that? Then I say something like "I guess no need to taste it then" -- to which I get the reply "You don't need to, it's a screw cap". I guess because I'd ordered the "cheap" $16 Chardonnay with a screw cap it didn't need tasting. Also, the wine wasn't chilled--it was served at around room temperature--basic tip: chill your white wine. But the final insult: it was my daughter's 18th birthday. At the end the server said--"Happy Birthday, you don't look 18-maybe 13 or 15". What? Who says that! Tone deaf. Really enjoyed consoling my 18 year old after paying $300+. The food overall was good not great. The Jamon iberico was tasteless. The halibut and steak were good. The paella was salty. And they say the parking is bad--but that is kind of understating it. It's a handful of spots next to a best western, after that it's street parking. Not ideal at all. read more

I've been to ASA a few times now and have generally enjoyed my visits, but last night's experience was a let down. My family and I were celebrating my mom's birthday and I was excited to finally take them to ASA. The service was extremely slow yesterday - we understand that some of the entres require 30 minutes (per the note on the menu) but they actually took over 45 minutes to come out. Not sure why the kitchen was so backed up because the restaurant was half empty. Additionally, 2 of our dishes were upcharged by $5 because they split the dish into 2 plates for us. We never asked for our dishes to be split - the server just asked if anyone is sharing any of the dishes and I said my mom and I will both be eating the chicken and pasta dishes. I'm aware of the $5 charge for splitting the plate (per the menu) but I never asked for the dishes to be split onto separate plates, hence I'm confused as to why our server would add that to our order. I brought it up to our server at the end of the meal and she brushed it off and said it's written on the menu that the cost of splitting plates is an extra $5. Disappointed by this response, especially after I mentioned I had never asked for the plates to be split, but we decided to let it go, paid, and left. The Food - Truffle fries (2/5): Nothing special, too salty, and barely any truffle flavor. Would skip ordering this. - Pork Rib Bites (3/5): This was okay - the meat wasn't that tender and the flavor was a bit underwhelming. - Summer chicken (3.5/5): Solid chicken dish, the skin is flavorful and crispy. The breast could have been a bit more moist. - Argentine steak (3.5/5): Would normally give this a 4/5 but the medium rare steak today came out rare... The sauce is great. - Exotic mushroom pasta (5/5): This dish deserves all the hype - very creamy and flavorful. - Hand cut new york steak (4.5/5): Cooked well, no complaints here. Despite the aforementioned service mishaps, I will say that the owner of ASA always provides exceptional service. He is lovely - you can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and cares about his customers. read more

10 STARS. Food, service, wine, EVERYTHING was 12/10 tonight. We stumbled upon Asa wanting something delicious and the menu did not disappoint. Started out with a bottle of red wine, the Spicy Chili Calamari & Shrimp with roasted heirloom, baguette w/ butter and a classic caesar. The seafood starter was out of this world delicious and chef even gave us a bottle of the sauce - can't wait to see it hit grocery stores everywhere hopefully soon! Highly recommend pairing with the baguette to soak up all the spicy saucy goodness. Had to order the exotic mushroom pasta and this was our absolute favorite. Also ordered a petit (12oz) NY Strip which was delicious on its own, but dipped it in the leftover mushroom sauce to take it over the top. Finished the evening with the warm chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream which were so perfect. Can't recommend Asa enough to anyone looking for a GREAT meal. Service was outstanding from start to finish and prices were extremely reasonable for the quality and creativity of every dish. Can't wait to come back next time we're in the neighborhood! read more

The food was excellent and fish I ordered was really fresh as well. The desserts were delicious and overall a great dinning experience. While their location in Los Altos is really nice. Where do I even start? Andy and family and Chef Steven Vu have created a premium experience in the Silicon Valley. I hesitated to post this because I don't want word to get out. Jose is incredibly knowledgeable about wine and the wine menu is so thoughtful. Every dish is not to be missed. The upscale decor is both classy and comfortable. You should definitely go here but don't because we want to be able to get a table. read more

ASA is the epitome of Los Gatos. Brilliant American dishes, wonderful wine menu, impeccable service, and a gorgeous upscale interior. We ordered: Cranberry aperol spritz Christmas Eggnog Cocktail Appetizer: squash Seabass over Risotto (special item) Milanese-style pork chop Vanilla Panna cotta Adult ice cream The good: The squash appetizer was so delightful. The cashew butter and pomegranate reduction was divine. And I'm a sucker for toasted seeds. My server went over the dinner specials for the night and the moment she mentioned "risotto" I was sold. I ordered the seabass over risotto which was everything I needed. Juicy seabass with killer skin over mouth-watering risotto. It even came with dots of sauce made from squid ink. Just wonderful. My partner ordered the Milanese-style pork chop. We've had this dish in Milan, and we love it. ASA's version to me puts on an American spin; the breading is different, however the chop is so juicy and tender even though it's thick! It's HUGE too. For $52, I think it's worth it. Could be better: I didn't care for the cocktails, though I did order Christmas-themed drinks. Next time I'll stick to wine. The desserts left more to be desired. I went for the vanilla panna cotta (basic but it's ok to be basic) which was tasty. More runny than I prefer, but tasty. I didn't like the adult ice cream (iirc it's made with bourbon and pralines). I just did not like their recipe; it tasted like soy sauce ice cream moreso than bourbon. read more

We came here a few months back to have dinner with a family friend and although I had never dined at ASA, I had heard good words about their New American cuisine. First off, parking is not a pleasure as they share a parking lot with a motel, and if you look for street parking, you are either quickly encroaching on apartment residential spaces or you're trying your luck across the street, which ended up working out for me. After we were seated at an outside patio table, I took notice of the classy dark motif throughout the restaurant. Our group shared a few small plates(Truffle Fries, Halibut Cocktail and their Burrata) and for my main, I went with the Papa Pork Chop. The standouts for me were the Truffle Fries and my main entree. The Pork Chop was comically thick(see photos) and yet juicy, and tender. My friend and I shared more than a few of their barrel aged cocktails and they too were tasty and satisfying. Our waitress was sweet and delivered fantastic service. I would be happy to come back sometime in the future. read more

Tried ASA for the first time Friday night (5/23). Andrew was manning the hostess stand. He was very polite and friendly. He showed me to my table and we continued to make small talk. The water service is great. John was our server. He went over the specials and took our order. I wanted to try two different wines before I made my choice, that was not a problem. I ended up going with their cab by the glass. My friend ordered their fish special and I ordered the Argentine steak (medium-rare). Food runner Sandra brought out our meals. She was very friendly too. John, Sara, and Andrew came to check on us to make sure everything was to our liking. The restaurant has a great ambiance. Great place for date night or dinner with friends. Everyone's that works there pays attention to detail. We had the banana bread pudding for dessert. It was delish. Food is very good and the ambiance is very cozy. The portions are generous for the price. We didn't have a reservation tonight but the host, manager and server are all accommodating and got us a good table despite a busy Friday night. Will come back here for sure. read more
