Steak frites
Athena O.

The food was creative and tasty. The smashed potatoes made me almost drool. The portions were big enough that I got to split mine into two meals. The staff was super friendly, and I look forward to going back.

My husband and I came here after coming across it on the Resy app. We had Resy credit to use on our Amex card and decided to try this place out given it was a bit late at night and this place was 15min away from us. The restaurant is inside a hotel and was very clean and established. We were seated and received the menus. The menu isn't extensive but still had a fair amount of dishes to choose from. All the dishes were also decently priced as well. We went with the tri tip appetizer, burrata salad, gate burger, and steak frites. All were AMAZING! The fries were the perfect crunch and the steak with the steak frites was cooked to perfection. Will definitely come back when we have Rest credit again!

The best avocado toast on Earth!

CALLING ALL AVOCADO ON TOAST lovers out there! I'm an older, hard working dad trying to eat a little lighter and healthier in the mornings. I've always been a fan of avocado toast and this was the most delicious one I've ever had. Seriously, just look at my picture! You gotta try it! The strong coffee was a plus. I got a side order of bacon for added protein which was very hearty. Besides the classy ambiance, the service was very friendly. I can't believe this place is not 5 stars.

I have been here a few times with my mom over the past year, and was waiting to write a review to see if my thoughts changed. The food here is outstanding , every time we have come for breakfast, it is always delicious. What always deters me from returning is the service. Just to get our order taken each time will take at least 15 minutes. Our server never returns to fill up our waters nor coffees unless we flag them down at the bar multiple times. Food takes a long time to come out of the kitchen (we went in December and the restaurant only had a few tables booked, but the food took over 30 minutes to come). It just seems like the staff overall ignore their customers, even though there are plenty of staff working in the restaurant.

Not just a clever name because it's literally in a cellar…read more Great bar for a quick nightcap and people watching. The pours here are heavy handed which is a plus and the bartenders are super friendly. The layout is great, a few different seating areas with spacious couches and chairs that allow you to sip and watch the game comfortably. The music is ok if you're a lover of Sublime, Nickleback, and the occasional live rap battle. Seriously, this happened and it was awful. So bad in fact I threw up on my sweater, mom's spaghetti. ** Mic Drop **

I've watched this place change from a more traditional bar with pool tables in the back to what it is now, which is sort of a combination of hipster haunt (with preserves decorating the front wall and a great craft beer selection) and weekend club. Seriously, the DJ and the rap battle were not what I was expecting. I'll also give them props for being the only place that serves food past 10 pm in Sutter Creek, even if it is three different fried offerings of a combination of them together. For the most part, the layout is great, the bartenders cheerful, the patrons an interesting mix of regulars and out-of-towners. Even the random DJ'd mix and unintelligible rap freestyle were good conversation pieces.

After enjoying glasses of chardonnay at nearby Luna Lounge (please reference my review if…read moreinterested), my wife and I headed to The Blind Pig to enjoy a few cocktails. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). I highly recommend The Blind Pig if you're looking to have deliciously strong drinks at a price that won't have you waking up the next morning rethinking the decisions that you made the previous night!

We had a wonderful experience at Slough House Kitchen! Our waitress, Alisa, was fantastic and went…read moreabove and beyond to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergy. She worked with the kitchen to ensure my scallop risotto was prepared using oil instead of dairy, and I felt completely confident that my dietary needs were taken seriously. Even though it was fairly busy for a Thursday night, the service was attentive and friendly. We started with the fries, meatball soup (I didn't eat because it had dairy), and the arugula and peach salad, all of which were delicious. For our entrees, we both ordered the scallop risotto. My husband had the regular version with all the usual ingredients, while mine was modified for my allergies. He even tried my risotto and commented that there was very little difference between the two, they tasted just as good as each other! That really speaks to the skill of the chef. It's not always easy to find restaurants that can accommodate allergies without sacrificing flavor, but Slough House Kitchen absolutely delivered. My only suggestion would be to consider adding a few more gluten- and dairy-free entrée options, as well as a dessert choice for guests with food allergies. Even something as simple as a sorbet would be a welcome addition. Excellent food, outstanding service from Alisa, and a kitchen that clearly knows how to handle food allergies. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

It is a classic old building, with loads of charm. We were seated in the bar area looking out on the outdoor patio. We started with the house-made smoked salmon. I have an affinity for smoked salmon, this was by far the best smoked salmon I have ever had. But wait, it got even better as it was served with house-made bread that was toasted to perfection along with a fabulous dill sauce. It was wonderful. We then shared an arugula salad with beets and many other items. It had the most amazing dressing. The freshness of the ingredients made this simple salad fabulous. For our entree we shared the catch of the day, a barramundi served with a house-made lemon caper sauce. We humbly requested to replace our sides with some roasted vegetables. The young woman who was our server (we later found out she was an owner) said she could accommodate us. The fish was amazing. The roasted vegetables that were added as an accommodation was the highlight of the meal. They were cooked to perfection, with a smoked flavor that made it taste like o was eating vegetables for the first time. I eat out often, but this is instantly one of my favorite restaurants. I can't wait to eat there again. We already have plans to eat there this Saturday as we celebrate my girlfriend's son's 12th birthday. You MUST try this restaurant as it is worth the drive.
