I was a fan of the original NYC location and was delighted to see this pop up in Greenwich. It's a spacious pub with an old school feel. A few of outdoor tables which I'd recommend in the summer. The beer list is pretty extensive and you can't really go wrong with any of them! I was a bit disappointed with the food on my last visit though, I had the burger which was a little dry and overcooked. It comes in an English muffin which is kind of unique though! Also went for the kale salad, it was not bad but the kale leaves did not taste super fresh on that occasion.

This place is adorable. Right at the top of Greenwich Ave. We sat in the back in the fireplace room and took advantage of the Oktoberfest menu and the bratwurst. Delish! Our waitress never really checked in on us so I can't give 5 stars. But I'd definitely go back.

This is a place that you never have to wait, and the service is good. It's pub food so you have to go in with that mindset. We went for brunch on a Sunday and couldn't get into other places. Sister got lamb has eggs which she said was gross because the hash was burnt and dry. Father ate a spinach omelette and he was pleased. It wasn't stellar. I ate a Cobb salad and added salmon which was amazing. The 3 stars Consistories the price- it seems like thiết pricing went up, and for the taste/quality I'd say it's not there.

Excellent ambiance, good food, and friendly service in a classic and classy setting. Conveniently located near the train and a walkable strip of bars, restaurants, and shops. Highlights of the meal were the pesto mac n cheese, and the burger. Good beer selection, and crafty cocktails. If I lived within walking distance of this place, it would be a regular spot for me. Recommend.

Based on how busy this spot was on a Saturday night, The Ginger Man needs no introduction to locals. Clearly an institution and rightfully so!! We were able to get a seat after a short wait, ~5 minutes. The menu is the perfect mix of classic American homestyle dishes. I orderd the fish and chips, which heavy on the batter but delish. In hindsight, I was jealous and should have gotten the burger. The ambience is super cozy, but also lively with lots of kids and parties happening in the upstairs room. Def stop in here for the fire and stay for the TVs and awesome menu.

Came here for some apps and was highly impressed. The portions were the perfect size as an afternoon snack but also super delicious. The atmosphere also reminded me on being in a little pub in Ireland. I can't believe I have never been before. Definitely want to go back for dinner and try the entrees.

I went with a couple friends and we all liked our food, the seating and inside is nice! There is indoor and outdoor seating! We got the chips and guac appetizer along with 12 buffalo wings and it was delicious and came out boiling hot, which we loved. The waitress was so sweet she even brought us a few more chips when she saw we were out of chips with a little guac left. The waitress was quick with ordering and filling water which I always like to mention in reviews. I got the crispy chicken paillard sandwich and i loved it, I got caramelized onions instead of pickled onions, and my boyfriend got the Nashville, hot chicken sandwich and he loved it, it was a little smaller than he expected. French fries were delicious all around a nice place to go with a group of friends, and there was tons of seating.

I was a little underwhelmed by this place. When I arrive, there were a few young kids with their parents partying and made the whole dining area very noisy. I ordered lamb Reuben and the lamb was a little over cooked, and the texture was hard to chew.

Second visit and my opinion has changed just a bit. Staff is always friendly but my issue is with the food. This time I ordered the ribs, I very much regretted my decision. They tasted like the kind of ribs you buy at a supermarket vacuum sealed in plastic and just heat up. The ribs were not heated up enough, the slaw on the side was ehhhh just a sloppy bland glob, Mac and cheese nothing spectacular just dry elbow pasta with just enough cheese to call it Mac& cheese a bit dry. The prices are too steep for the type of food and quality. While I do understand this is Greenwich Avenue and rent must be high, I also highly recommend the chef steps up his game to justify such prices for tavern style food. I like my food hot and savory this was not. My first time the chowder was outstanding and filling, this time it was mostly broth. The actually delicious steak sandwich after the meat is grilled should be cut thinner so that it requires less hand work ripping it away from your mouth when eating. Again, burgers are always great. Will I come back? Of course.... But I will let my opinion be known to the staff in a very polite tone that is. I want to help them get better by giving feedback not trash them. See you soon, I'm not giving up on you yet.

I sat outdoors here and the street is quiet and peaceful. The food was good. I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. The server was very intent.

I ordered Turkey burger and flatbread last week. The food was tasteless and the Turkey burger was dry. Very Disappointed.

Cool place. Good food. But why is it so dark? I nearly stabbed myself in the face with a fork. Please turn on the lights.

Good beer, crappy crowd. Unless you actually like stuck up Greenwich clientele, then more power to ya. The crowd takes away the two stars.

Yes! However, the tap list is not as extensive as in other Ginger Man locations (there's more than just those two!).

Greenwich Brewing Company is a craft brewpub that opened in Greenwich, Connecticut in September…read more2024. It was founded by business partners Michael Stein, Randy Kemka and Kent Kolbig. The trio and their families all live in Greenwich. Collectively, they were all sick of taking their families out to dinner and the bill adding up to hundreds of dollars. They also realized that Greenwich was one of the few towns in Connecticut that didn't have a brewery. The business partners made it their mission to open their own family-friendly brewpub where consumers could get good craft beer as well as quality food that didn't break the bank. When a space previously home to LobsterCraft became available, the partners jumped at the chance to move in. I recently visited Greenwich Brewing Company for the first time. I was heading to a concert nearby, so I thought I would stop in a grab some beers and bites for a pre-show dinner. I noticed right away that GBC has a nautical theme. The logo features an anchor, and the entrance wall features the name of the brewpub spelled out in nautical flags. The place is a little on the smaller side, cozy and inviting; there's seating for about 52 customers. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the menu. Some of the staff informed me that they were celebrating their one-year anniversary and had some menu specials. To drink, I ordered a sampler flight that featured "Day Sailing" (Strawberry Lemonade Sour), "Oktoberfest" (Märzen), "Hop Anchor" (New England IPA), and "Catamaranic" (Hazy Double IPA). My favorite of the flight was the Oktoberfest, and I ordered a full pour afterwards. I also noticed that there were no beer tanks anywhere to be found on the premises. A staff member informed me that all beer is currently brewed off-site. They hope to move to a larger location in the future where brewing can be done in-house. Overall, GBC's beer is ok. It's their food menu, however, where they really shine. I first started off with some delicious "Toasted Pretzel Logs" (w/ Cardinal Red beer cheese sauce & stone ground mustard). Then I finished with the "Hot Honey Chicken" (2 tenders, hot honey drizzle, shredded mustard slaw, pimento cheese, on a roll, served w/ fries). It was phenomenal! My only complaint was that the bun was a little too small; it was no match for those massive tenders. I ended up eating most of it with a knife and fork as it fell apart. That aside, it was a delicious sandwich! If you're looking for an affordable, family-friendly place in Greenwich to grab some good beers and bites, then head to GBC!
