    The Ginger Pig is a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognized restaurant serving Asian street-style dishes and drinks. The restaurants lists Isabelle Farm as a main provider of farm-to-table organic vegetables; I particularly like their support and use of local farms and purveyors. AMBIANCE Colorful, minimal space with Chinese accents from paper lanterns and a neon sign asking "吃了吗?" meaning 'have you eaten yet?' A common Chinese question I heard growing up. SERVICE Knowledgeable, welcoming, helpful staff that genuinely love the too here too. FOOD 5/5 La Zi Ji Chicken: fried chicken with a Chinese 9 spice rub (who knew there was more than five spice?!) that's wonderfully savory, umami, sweet w pickled red bell pepper slices that are sweet n tart and pickled yet crisp. 5/5 GALAM PLEE PAD NAM PLA (THAI STIR FRIED CABBAGE) - PSC cabbage, garlic, fish sauce, nam prik pao chill jam (spicy, sour, salty, and sweet). I found this even more delicious cold after I refrigerated it. PARKING Limited spaces in lot. Street-side is best bet P.S. I really wanted to order the HAWAIIAN BUTTER MOCHI CAKE. Not getting it this time means I'll have to go back here a second time.

    My son had been to the Boulder location and told me how amazing the food is. I was in Denver and he really wanted to take me there. So my girlfriend and I went to the Denver location. All the stuff was very friendly and kept checking on us to make sure we were happy. The restaurant was very nice and clean. It was very busy, but was not too loud. The food was very delicious! It was as amazing as my son said it was. I will definitely be back.

    I still think about their Shrimp Toast. I got it delivered and it was still extremely crispy!! The herb sauce wasn't need but also delicious. I wish the cucumber salad was a bigger portion because I could have eaten it as a whole meal. Definitely overpriced for the portion. Korean Fried Chicken was crispy yet saucy. Not spicy despite the color and amount of chili. But of course everyone's spice tolerance is different. Mochi Cake was sticky and sweet. Definitely on the heavier side of dessert option but must try! For not physically eating at the restaurant the quality and taste of the dishes were fantastic. I will be back to try more!

    The tom yum noodles were super yummy (quite a bit sour but it is tom yum and I do love sour things) and captured the tom yum flavor really well in a spaghetti-like form factor. The char siu had good flavor but the chunks of pork were much too large. I think the dish could be improved a lot by using a fattier cut of pork as it was a bit dry, and I'm saying this as someone who generally prefers leaner cuts. The hong Kong style French toast was sooo good, and a very large portion size. I love kaya jam! We ordered a side of vanilla ice cream to have it a la mode, and it was just perfect. Id come back for this dessert alone.

    I think this place lives up to the hype. We try to visit every time we're in the area, and we've tried a good bit of the menu at this point. They've switch to tableside service rather than counter service, which I like. Everything has delicious strong flavors and the menu is large enough for a lot of exploring. The cocktails are also divine. Definitely give this place a try if you like Asian fusion, but go early because it gets very crowded!

    I was on a Michelin Bib Gourmand hunt in Denver and stumbled upon Ginger Pig on the Michelin page! The Xi Duo Shi or Hong Kong French Toast still haunts me to this day! As a self-professed foodie with a sweet tooth, this crunchy concoction and masterpiece of a dessert was definitely a treat. I would say the menu at Ginger Pig is Asian fusion because they have a mix of Thai, Filipino, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine! The vibe was pretty lively inside.. but my only qualm was that my food definitely took longer than I anticipated. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my Tom Yum Noodle. I vow to come back to try the other entrees! :)

    Small parking lot, but plenty of space to sit inside and outside. A few of us went to check it out and split a bunch of the dishes so that we each could try some. Among them all, the char sit stood out with flavorful crunchy skin and tender meat inside. The cabbage sauce was tasty with a good crunch from the sesame. And the HK French toast for dessert was perfectly sweet with a mochi like interior to give that soft/chewy texture inside where outside was crunchy. Overall, I would return to try other dishes.

    it was popping it reminded me of street food asia / rowland heights plaza establishments hahaha we ordered the zhang noodles, tom yum noodles, char siu pork, karage, and soju -- and some dishes came with free rice and pickled cucumbers!!

    This place was solid - we went December 23rd at 5:30pm and got seated for 4 right away. Food came out super fast even though every table in the restaurant was filled. We ordered a lot since it was still happy hour with 3 appetizers, then shared 3 entrees but were too full to order the French toast as dessert. The cabbage stole the show and I personally loved the chicken and tom yum noodles, tho the noodles were quite ginger heavy. Will come back for sure when we need more comfort food!

    the first time I ate here I dined in, I put my phone down to fully immerse myself in this Michelin guide bib gourmand. We selected three small plates, banchan (korean side dishes), lumpia (filipino eggroll) and xia duo shi (shrimp toast). we ordered kaarage chicken as an entire that came with white rice. the star was the shrimp toast, the people sitting next to us praised the dish as it made it's way to our eating area, sharing that it was their favourite. it was buttery, crispy and had a beautiful texture. we ordered a cockatil, seoul station. it was strong, roku gin + yogurt soju. only need one! fast forward three weeks later, I ordered take out. kkanpunggi (korean fried chicken), hawaiian butter mochi cake and honey lemonade. quite delicious, the cake was dreamy. spongey with a chewy mochi texture, the top has a light crust topped with powdered sugar that makes biting into it even more fun. absolutely loved the honey lemonade. simple.

    3 out of 5 stars "Big buzz, small plates, and high hopes--maybe too high?" We added The Ginger Pig to our Denver food tour checklist after seeing it snag two back-to-back Michelin Bib Gourmand awards--plus, one of our favorite Top Chef contestants has worked with the owner and helped develop some of the menu. So needless to say, we came in hungry and with high expectations. The location is kind of tucked away off a business road, with tight parking and a small, cozy dining space that makes creative use of indoor-outdoor flow. It's a cool converted setup--think modern alleyway chic with local charm. The whole vibe screams intimate, inventive, and curated. But now let's talk food. What we ordered: * Korean Fried Chicken - Nice heat, decent flavor, but honestly we've had better. Crispy, yes, but not crave-worthy. * Gamja Hot Dog (Korean Cornflake Dog) - Fun presentation, good crunch, and a playful street food touch. * Cumin Lamb Stir Fry - This one hurt. It came recommended by the staff but was dry and overcooked. The flavors didn't hit like they should have. * Ants Climbing a Tree - Unique dish name, decent texture, but again lacked that punch of bold flavor we were hoping for. * Vietnamese Garlic Noodles - Good, but not memorable--needed more garlic, depth, or umami to shine. * Assorted Korean Side Dishes - Always a nice touch, but no standout there either. As much as we wanted to be wowed, nothing we ate made us say "we've got to come back." And for a spot with such accolades and hype, that was disappointing. In our foodie lingo, this was a "nothing to write home about" kind of meal. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was inviting, and we love the ambition behind the place--but this one fell short for us flavor-wise. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe we ordered wrong. But for now, we're not rushing to phone a friend about it. Would we try it again? Maybe--for a drink, some snacks, and to give it another shot. But based on this visit, it didn't live up to the Michelin buzz or our own expectations.

    I want give this place a 5 but the food was just not as good as it looked- keep reading! It wasn't bad, by ANY means. It really was great, just being a critic. Of the things we got, I'd say the pork shoulder was the best. The sauce was sooooo so so good. A bit spicy but sweet and the shoulder had a nice sear to it. The only drawback was that the meat was slightly dry. Again, sauce great, meat dry. The ants climbing a tree was a super unique dish and honestly tasted nothing like anything I've had before. It almost tasted like a sloppy Joe, idk why or how but it did. It really was delicious though and packed with flavor. The furikake potatoes honestly were a big miss. They were really bland and the aioli they came with just tasted like mayo. Nothing special here which was a let down for us. The seasonal/rotato cocktail was a tequila cocktail with dragonfruit / passion fruit, and wowwww it was good! I got two! One of the best cocktails I've had in a while! Looking forward to trying some more of the menu here for sureeeee

    A lively, vibrant restaurant featuring flavors from across Southeast and East Asia. We visited The Ginger Pig for a Sunday dinner -- our last meal before hopping on our flights back home -- after reading stellar reviews online. This Michelin Bib Gourmand spot certainly lived up to its reputation as unique, eclectic, and vibey. Their menu features fusion items from across South and Southeast Asia, encompassing noodles, rice, stir fries, and toasts. We decided to split their tom yum tofu, garlic noodles, ants climbing on a tree, and French toast. Everything was phenomenal, but my favorite had to be the tofu. I loved the spicy, savory, sweet, and fruity flavor combination from the tom yum, and the fried tofu acted as the perfect sponge to hold onto all that deliciousness. A squeeze of lime definitely helps to bring it all together, and it's delicious either with rice or even on its own. The garlic noodles were also tasty; the noodles were a great al dente, packed with garlic, and topped with a generous portion of sweet, springy shrimp. The flavor profile was more mild overall, but it was a good counterbalance against the bolder flavors of the tofu. As we wrapped up our entrees, the bus boy came by to clear our table, and announced his arrival with, "I think charisma makes the world go round. Which is why I'm so glad the Oxford word of the year in 2023 was rizz. With that, I'm going to clear your tables now." It was so unexpectedly hilarious, and honestly speaks to the overall vibe at The Ginger Pig -- everything, from the staff to the decor, is friendly, welcoming, and fun. As a finale for the meal, we got their Hong Kong-style French toast. They typically have a smaller, less sweet appetizer version as well but were sadly out, so we opted for the dessert form instead. The toast was massive and very decadent, with a pillowy interior that perfectly counterbalanced the crunchy exterior crust. The warm toast contrasted nicely with the cold ice cream, although I think the dish is a bit too rich to have much of.

We ended up sitting inside because it was a bit too hot for us, but others were on the patio and it did have ample seating and shade; will likely be lovely in a few weeks. The decor inside was clean with comfortable seating and a variety of bar seats and low tables. They also had virtual golf - an interesting mix. My one complaint is the amount of televisions. It had the amount I'd expect at a sports bar but way above sports bar prices. They could get away with removing 1-2 and still catering to the same crowd while appealing to those (like me) who don't want to have to sit in a corner and strategically place the chairs just to not have to look at a screen.

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

Cozy spot for some classy bites and cocktails. I think I probably got off on the wrong foot when I asked for sparkling water instead of flat and found out it was $7 per personal mini bottle (and they don't have club soda). My first time encountering that in Denver in the last 14 years... The cocktail concept is cool: pick a classic, slightly updated, or super creative version from 5 categories (martini, old fashioned, sour, spritz, highball). The spicy mango sour (with mezcal) was awesome -- although I expected egg white on a sour. The martinis were ok... a bit of a let-down in today's collection of Denver martinis at other local spots (think anchovy, sour cream and onion, holy trinity, and old bay). The food was also hit or miss. We loved the cauliflower/potato Bravas with the slightly spicy sauce, as well as the croquettes and their sauce. The tuna crudo was super bland, which is disappointing for $19.

It seems in line with most Denver places but definitely keeps me from getting more than one.
