I have been to both the lobby bar and Thea (rooftop restaurant). Both times the experience was below average .The ambiance is beautiful and so are the views, but that's it. The service is where this place does not shine. You would think for how fancy the place is you would be treated like royalty from the moment you stepped in the door but that is certainly not the case. Sat down in the lobby for some drinks. I waited 10 minutes before I finally just flagged down a waiter to order drinks. Mind you there had been multiple waiters walking by numerous times. Most of the staff was just huddled in the corner gossiping. Thea has wonderful food but once again the service was very poor. We ended up being there for 2 plus hours because the service was so slow. Not to mention we had 4 different waiters helping our table. Overall, this place is just another overpriced trendy Scottsdale bar/restaurant with the same service you could get at the DMV. read more

Rudest Bartenders I've ever experienced. Just because you work at a nice place does not mean you are above people that are a patron of the establishment. Most people leave reviews for some sort of kick back, I just want to let others to be ware. Walk across the street to steak 44 to get your moneys worth. Don't contact me, this is just for others and not for a "we are sorry" response. I can deal with slow service or a messed up entree but you can't teach an employee how to have a positive attitude. I don't spend $500 for someone to talk down to my party because we ask for recommendations. If you don't give great service there are 50 other restaurants within a mile that will. 3 stars because the food was great but we are in Scottsdale, every place has good food, it's the experience that can set you apart. read more

I contemplated sharing this review but after several weeks I decided that sharing it could probably help The Global Ambassador 'management' in proper hospitality training. We booked a suite here for a weekend in March. We're Scottsdale natives and loved coming to The Global Ambassador for the ambience and service. We splurged for this room because it was our wedding weekend which we told hotel staff during booking, they did send a nice card even congratulating us on our wedding weekend upon check in on Friday. Saturday comes (the day of our wedding) my bridal party leaves and I head downstairs to head to the valet area as my driver is waiting outside. When the elevator doors open a bride and her bridal party are in the area, the bride and I exchange 'congratulations' and I continue on my way. I don't reach the end of the small breeze way before a man in a Global Ambassador hat approaches me and tells me that I cannot be down here in my wedding gown. I explain I am on my way to my venue as I walk past him. I head directly outside and my driver pulls up, as he does, the first man now accompanied by TWO additional men, one who I assume was the on duty manager (stocky man in a blazer) and the man asks me if I'm confused that they only host 1 wedding a day and that I cannot be here in my dress. I explain AGAIN that I am headed to my own venue. It was beyond humiliating and there was no reason that 3 men needed to follow me outside?? My private driver was also so taken aback that he was like 'are you okay?' A note to management; you cannot stop other brides from staying at your hotel and if there is a policy regarding your dress it should be explained before spending thousands of dollars on a room. I was so embarrassed and honestly beside myself on the way to my wedding. No one should be treated this way. Do better. read more

What an absolutely high class 10/10 experience ! This was our first time there, as soon as we walked in we were welcomed by your classy hotel lobby bar manager Esteban who quickly pointed out the restaurant we were looking for. We had a few minutes before our reservation,so he quickly had the bartender make us some cocktails. We sat in the bar area at LE AME and had a server by the name of Ohannes who was simply incredible at describing the entire menu , his service was spectacular. Esteban made his way back to us to make sure we enjoyed our dinner. He then took the time to show us to the rooftop bar Thea and welcomed us back for my bachelorette party . I just spent a super relaxing spa day at the Global Ambassador! So good I'm documenting it here. First I got lunch by the pool which was lovely. The pool had prompt drink service and relaxing music plus plenty of shade. The Zero Proof drink menu was a really nice touch. I will say my quesadilla was a bit greasy/gooey, but most of the other dishes looked really good. The spa is fabulous! They have every conceivable amenity. Oribe hair products, an excellent cologne selection, toothbrush + paste + mouthwash + floss, great smelling hand soap, eye drops, REALLY GOOD FACIAL SOAP, skin care products, and so so much more. The food and bev situation is the same way. Highlights include popcorn, nuts, ice cream, assorted sweets, kombucha and beer on tap, every conceivable type of water. The men's lounge was absolutely huge, and included a small outdoor area which I always like at a spa. I received the Augustinus Bader 90 min facial which was incredible. A nice combo of old school massage and new school modalities such as ultrasound, led, oxygen, etc. My provider Tatiana was delightful, and answered my many many skincare questions and walked me through the treatment and all the products used. My only complaint is regarding the front desk. I called three times and nobody picked up. As you can probably tell I'm very passionate when it comes to spas and had some questions. I ended up just booking online, which was pretty convenient, but still. I know this is very detailed, but it's mainly for my reference. I start to forget all the small details that make a place memorable. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend, especially as a local. I will most certainly be back soon! read more

This is my second time visiting The Global Ambassador and I've been really impressed. While it is a bit crammed getting to the hotel and a tad chaotic at the valet in the evening it is easily on of my favorite places to visit. I love that there is plenty of lobby bar sitting and Le Market offers a variety of foods and places to sit. The front desk staff is so helpful and informative. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service at the shop downstairs and employees throughout the hotel. The ambience is second to none and who can top the breathtaking views. My family and I have enjoyed our time here and will continue to go back often. read more

I went for the first time on 7-14-2024 to have lunch/brunch with friends at Thea. Beautiful location however the food is beyond OVERPRICED and the quality is subpar at best. $70 for zucchini chips that were cold and filet skewers with maybe 5 pieces of filet...that was cold and I wasn't even asked what temp I wanted. The amount of rice was sized based on the amount of beef. And my Bloody Mary was MAYBE 8 oz. For what you charge and offer...need to step it up on quality if that's what you're charging. You have stiff competition in the immediate area. Thank you Sierra L. @Thea for your response. However, inviting me to return to waste time and money is unreasonable. Amazing hotel. Such a great addition to the Phoenix area. As I entered the hotel lobby, I was greeted by friendly and cheerful staff. The atmosphere and decor are absolutely stunning. I felt like I was on vacation (I'm a local). We dined at the new rooftop Mediterranean restaurant, Thea, which was delicious. The staff was very attentive and helpful with menu options. All of the food we ate was great, but my favorite would have to be the Winter Squash Tabbouleh salad - it was incredible. The cocktails were fun and tasty as well. My favorite was the Espresso Martini. After dinner we hung out on the rooftop - great vibe and even better views. I can't wait to go back to the Global Ambassador. Great place for date night, girls night/weekend or to show off to out-of-town guests. read more

This hotel is one of a kind in Phoenix/Scottsdale area. The decor and ambiance is right on classy and stylish. The food at Le'Ame was devine and the service spot on. Thea, the views are spectacular and has a great vibe. The lobby bar has a beautiful bar that wraps around and it's classy. The only thing I would say is that most of the tables and couches that I could see had a reserve sign on it. We sat at the bar itself because there were seats available. I was informed that the tables/couches are to be purchased for a set time with minimum spend amount. Not sure if that meant every table.... i am so happy that my friends chose to come here for dinner. it wouldn't have come to mind as a friday night dinner spot because i don't live in the area and i hadn't been here before but i am absolutely coming back. i for sure underdressed in my doc martens; however, you wouldn't have been able to tell by the way the staff treated me. starting with the valet and doormen, i was getting nervous seeing how beautiful everyone was dressed, yet i was treated the same. my friends and i were lucky enough to get a great table near the bar, Le Âme, and somehow Frances was our server. he was so lighthearted and attentive and really set the scene for the whole night. he was happy to answer all our drink menu questions and make educated recommendations based on our interests. i had a really truly great time and i'm looking forward to bringing all of my favorite people here. read more

It was 6 pm so one way you looked you could see the sunset fall over the Phoenix skyline and then you looked the other way and Camelback Mountain was just glowing red. Beautiful atmosphere and we enjoyed ourselves at the bar and restaurant. However, if you go there for food or drinks, you have to pay for parking. Their valet is an automatic $8.00 plus tip. So no matter what you have to add $13 on anything you do there. There is no way to self park. read more

I went to relax there and work for a few days on computer and my WiFi never worked and from my labtop it was worse!!! Me and my girlfriend are visiting from out of town. As soon as we approached the door the "supervisor of security" denied us access because we weren't dressed "elegantly". We are wearing mini dresses that aren't too revealing in the slightest. No assets showing. We initially decided to just leave but after I noticed women who were NOT of color, might I add, were being granted access with mini skirts & tops with their entire stomachs exposed, I brought it to his attention and only then were we allowed in.
