The menu is elevated pub food and there's everything from pizzas, pastas, salads, wraps, and tacos. The atmosphere is so lively! There are two full-service bars with handcrafted cocktails. Came on a Sunday to enjoy brunch, and was pleasantly surprised we were able to get a seat. Clean tables, correctly spaced and a lively and well lit indoor seating area. I think we caught our server on a bad day - not very attentive, rushed us, didn't greet us with even a hello (at the door we were greeted) and insisted of bringing the check before we even finished the meal. The food itself was delicious and I'm happy to give this place another try for that reason alone, but this was a highly disappointing experience. The upstairs wasn't open, and given the service didn't get much of a chance to ask more about the facility itself. Will return and of course do another review when hopefully the service is better! Third time going & won't be returning. Foods decent for the area, and the space is great... however every time we go in, we don't get menus or drinks for 10+ min, our waiters constantly change, and our bartender all THREE times didn't mention they were leaving so we sat there for 25 minutes (counted) without refills, and didn't get to put a to go order in since we had passed the time frame to order due to the wait. We really wanted to give this place more time, but when tour bartenders consistently talk crap their entire shift, it makes it uncomfortable & almost feel like they are irritated with guests. Take better care of your staff, or find staff that believe in guest satisfaction. This place is way too cool to go downhill. read more

I'd give this a 3.5 but will round up to 4. The place is very trendy and popping on a Sunday afternoon. We got seated outside and it was hot, but there were fans and shade. I ordered the spinach and goat cheese frittata. It was smaller than I thought and not as much goat cheese as I would like. Have been waiting for a the GOAT to open. Wasn't aware that it's actually part of the apartment complex. This opening is phase 1 of multiple. Has a pool but it's for the apartment complex which I thought was a little weird. Property goes from The GOAT all the way to hwy 45. No reservations and is a little small being the first real bar area that will offer karaoke and other stuff upstairs. Come on elevator people, get them going so the upstairs can open. Food is good, drinks are drinks but the setup is, just nice. Talk in length with manager on next phases and can't wait for them. Very small parking in front and side of street. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, feta burger, American burger, hot chicken dip, and some drinks. The food was underwhelming. The feta burger didn't have any feta flavor and the hot chicken dip, while decent, is not something I would order again. Overall, it was just meh. Influencers claimed this place was kid friendly, but outside of a couple of arcade games upstairs, there was not much for kids to do. It felt overhyped and it under delivered. Our server (Wyatt) worked incredibly hard and deserves credit, but the restaurant only had two servers running the floor. It wasn't fair to them or the guests. I was looking forward to visiting this place ever since I heard it had opened and I have mixed feelings. The atmosphere is pretty awesome. There is a large bar with tv screens toward the back of the restaurant and a large game room upstairs. The menu has a lot of interesting sounding items and everything sounded good. We started off with the sheet tray nachos, which weren't bad, just nothing too exciting. It was a decent portion for 4 people so that part was ok. I had the avocado lime salad with grilled chicken. The salad was a little smaller than I was expecting but was pretty good. My son got a pepperoni pizza which was good sized, but it was your standard pizza. My daughter had the chicken strips which didn't have a lot of flavor and came with ketchup and fries. They would have been better with bbq or ranch for dipping. The wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, which she liked. She's picky when it comes to chicken sandwiches, so the fact she liked this one is a big plus. The service needed a lot of work. Our waitress was very nice, but not very attentive. We sat for about 10 minutes before she came and brought us our menus. She disappeared for another 15 before coming back to get our orders. The food came pretty fast but then it took too long to get the check. The verdict...Decent food, cool atmosphere and subpar service. read more

We went to celebrate our son's birthday because the website showed an extensive menu and the reviews seemed overall positive. But, once there he was disappointed that we were seated at a high top instead of a regular table and the items he looked at on the menu online were no longer available. That said, several of us enjoyed our meals anyway. The servers were polite but drinks were somewhat slow coming from the bar. I've visited this establishment several times, and unfortunately, I'm beginning to feel quite disappointed. The wait times are consistently long, and more often than not, my food is served cold. While I appreciate that the staff is willing to remake it and the replacement is served hot, I'm frustrated by the initial response when I raise the concern. Each time I mention that my food is cold, I'm met with comments like, "It was made hot," or "No one else has ever said that before." I respectfully ask that my feedback be taken at face value without dismissive remarks. I understand this may not be the server's fault, but being told my experience isn't valid only adds to the frustration. All I ask is that concerns be acknowledged without excuses, and the focus remain on providing a positive dining experience. Thank you for your time and consideration. My first time visiting was for a company party I hosted. I reserved the duckpin bowling lanes, Kareoke room and purchased playing cards for the arcade. All of these activities were upstairs while the normal restaurant and bar were downstairs. Both upstairs and downstairs had bathrooms and bars. Upstairs also has a wonderful outdoor seating area that overlooks a beautiful pool. Our dedicated bartenders were so helpful making all the drinks for our team and restarting the bowling lanes for us. Because of the number of attendees we selected items from the catering menu. We ordered pizzas, salad, charcuterie, fruit, boneless chicken wings, wraps, and blueberry crumble. Everything was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved all the food and we were even given to go boxes to take food home! My team really loved the karaoke room. We spent most of our night in there singing our hearts out! While the arcade games were so fun the prices per game were outrageous! I had to constantly refill the player cards to allow for an ample amount of fun. I really enjoyed the bowling. Duckpins are such a unique way to bowl. There are so many photo ops all around the restaurant. Even the bathrooms have the cutest wallpaper! I went to The Goat for dinner and drinks with a friend. They have a pretty big dining room area and a bar in the back. I believe they have games to play upstairs. They have a few arcade games downstairs. The menu had a $10 boneless wings and fries option for their Monday special so I decided to order that. I had a mezcal margarita as well. It was refreshing. I got the buffalo boneless wings. They were pretty good. The fries were well seasoned and they gave a generous amount. I also got their sweet potato cheesecake to go. It's a bit sweet but I enjoy the different textures especially the bottom. The service and food were both good. I would definitely return for another meal. read more

Okay, so I was on the fence about giving a second review on this Restaurant , but New City...new review! We went on a Monday night just to step out spontaneously! We walked in and were seated immediately, although the place was really jumping for a Monday!? Yes...jumping on a Monday you heard it right! So we walked in at 6:28 and was surprised to hear happy hour was still in full swing until 7! We ordered two appetizers and two cocktails! The Whiskey & BBQ boneless wings were so delicious, and paired with the farmhouse loaded tots made it exceptional! The drinks were very inexpensive and so were the apps. The service was great, and the food came out pretty quickly. Parking is a bit limited at this location, as most spaces can be found along the side and back of the building. But compared to the Tennessee location this local Pflugerville spot is really nice. Now be warned, there's full bowling lanes right above the restaurants and that can get a little loud, so if noise is a factor I'd double check those hours before going. But overall a very nice and aesthetically pleasing place with a really good happy hour! So if your looking for a nice spot to meet up with friends or a spontaneous Monday date night, the Goat Pflugerville is definitely a great choice! Happy Eating :) read more

We went to the Goat solely off of Yelp search and reviews. What a wonderful surprise! We loved that brunch was all day on Saturday plus regular lunch options as well. The menu was broad, the food was excellent and the service was superb. Our server Trevor greeted us promptly. He was able to advise us on the menu and suggested options that everyone enjoyed. (Specifically the breakfast casserole). Our order came out quickly and was exactly as we ordered it. There is so much more to explore at this location from indoor and outdoor activities. Overall: The Goat is a good option for friends or groups. It's very spacious, has a nice sized bar, tvs, an upstairs arcade area, and food is decent. I went for brunch and they offer this platter that can be easily shared amongst a group. Not only do they have dedicated brunch options, they also still include options they would serve during lunch, which I appreciate. I ended up getting the buffalo chicken wrap and I really enjoyed it! For me, it was filling (came with the wrap and fries), however for my husband, he needed more. My cousin got one of the brunch skillets and wasn't a fan of the potatoes, or really any of it. Service was average. The waitress made sure we had what we needed, sometimes we had to look everywhere to find her, but overall the staff was friendly. read more

The GOAT was a NOPE for me unfortunately. Let's start with the positives. The spot is open late which is a major plus because my date and I were able to come after a late show and grab some food. The vibe is also really cool, very well decorated. Cute aesthetic. The service was fine too. When we first walked in it wasn't clear whether we needed to wait to be seated or sit anywhere so that was a little confusing. No one was watching the door so I had find an employee myself to ask. Once seated, we had a server and someone from the bar come over and they were nice, ran over the menu for us etc The food came out pretty quickly and here's where the problems began. The food was subpar at best. We ordered two types of wings and some baked potato/tater tot dish. The wings were way too tough and hard to get through. The seasoning/flavoring was not strong enough on either flavor unfortunately. The potato dish was... interesting. The texture was just "off" it was a little gummy and again, not much flavor. Thankfully we ordered crispy onions on top so they helped a little but neither dish we'd order again. It was also my date's second visit to the GOAT and she wasn't a fan of her meal on her first visit either. Overall, the food was just a miss but cool place though. read more

I had heard so much hype about this place and I couldn't get past the shareables to find something worth the price to eat. I started with the Italian Pizza Roll. Judging by the description of basil and herbed garlic butter I expected a flavorful experience. Unfortunately, what I got was mozzarella cheese rolled in bread with pepperoni sprinkled with dry Parmesan cheese. I didn't taste any basil and not even a pinch of salt. The marinara sauce was from a can and also had not taste. I had Drunken Shrimp and while it was more sauce than necessary it might be the best shareable item. Shrimp were crispy and seasoned well. The sauce is spicy but also sweet so it is good. I wasn't full so opted for tacos. The Hen House Tacos were a joke. Cut up chicken tender with the same sauce from the shrimp on a bed of cheese and lettuce with bacon crumbles. It was dry and needed something else. I asked for habanero sauce but even that didn't do it. The drinks are A+ and I'm sure that's the catch. Come to drink and settle for less than food. The ambiance is very attractive. Great place to have drinks and watch some sports but if you're looking for a good meal, this is not it. read more

This place is incredible in every way! We started with coffees (an iced latte and cappuccino which were perfect--thanks Morning Ritual!), then got the chips and queso as a starter. I've never seen more people on the clock while also having poor and slow service. The manager in the brown tank-top did nothing but walk back and forth, and sit at the bar all evening. If you see a table sitting without being seen for 10 whole minutes without even a water, maybe you should come check on them. If it's a brand new opening, wouldn't you want to stop by the tables, thank us for coming and ask how we're doing? It took 6 people 15 minutes to clean two tables. This place needs training! A group of U.S. visited for the first time yesterday evening. The wait was 45 minutes so we missed happy hour. The outside of the building looks like a dressy casual vibe. It's a very casual atmosphere. There's something on the menu for everyone. However, the food lacked flavor. The tots are not like regular tots. They seemed soft and undercooked on the outside. The inside was crumbly potatoes that were not cooked all the way. The smokehouse burger looked great but the patties needed salt. If it wasn't for the bbq sauce and the bacon, the burger would not be memorable. The pizza roll had pepperoni and a huge amount of chewy cheese. You couldn't taste the pepperoni. The sweet potato cheesecake is not like a regular cheesecake. It has an almond crumble on the top and bottom and was drizzled with caramel sauce. It wasn't bad! The music was a bit loud but we still were able to have a conversation. They do have gluten free buns and other gluten free options. A friend tried the brunch today and still felt the food was lacking. We didn't try the games or karaoke. It was an ok place but nothing I'd be excited about going back to. read more

This place is new and has a lot of potential. The drinks were tasty and came out pretty quickly. I'm not a huge sangria fan but this one tasted good and I really liked the strawberry champagne margarita. There seemed to be a breakdown of service in between when we ordered food and when it finally came out, which turned the food into a mixed bag. We ordered the pizza rolls as an appetizer and the hen house tacos and nashvegas burger as entrees. Our food took forever to come out and we weren't able to ask our server about it because she disappeared. When our food finally did make an appearance, it was all at the same time instead of being coursed out. The pizza rolls were hot and tasty but my tacos were cold. It seemed like they could have had good flavor but, like I mentioned, they were cold. When the server checked in, she did offer to have them reheated but I was already pretty hungry from waiting so long and it didn't seem appetizing. The burger was good. The ambiance was lively and it seemed like a fun place for drinks and games. When we went upstairs to look at the games, we thought there would be more. The games weren't running today due to ADA compliance (the elevators were down) so we weren't able to play. I'm curious as to how long the wait would typically be to play games. Back on the ground floor, we saw that there was a pool outside. It's shared by the apartment complex attached to the building and we were told that you're able to purchase a day pass for the pool and that it has its own menu. So that may be a fun way to spend the day on a hot summer day. read more
