This place is unique! The music selection is very reminiscent of KUTX 98.9 Austin. The art on the walls is fabulous definitely a trip to long ago when times were fun. All orders are done via kiosk with help from the lovely lady should you have any questions.

Ramen, Milk Bread Toast, and seating near the front entrance.

Casual dining experience by the same people that won Magpie to my understanding (as referenced in their "magpie milk bread"). I ordered the ramen (which is $15 weekdays after 5PM) and it was delicious and comes with a Soju shot if you'd like. The locations lacks obvious parking though there is plenty of garages and lots in the vicinity but nothing directly for the restaurant. The vibe is colorful and eclectic and casual dining. You can either order from a kiosk or a person at the counter if paying cash. The menu is minimal but with that comes an ease with ordering. The ramen was well done but I wouldn't say it blew me away but a great bang for your buck for good quality ramen & soju!

Beef Bulgogi with Rice (it was ok).

Recommend: Maybe Food: I ordered Beef Bulgogi with Rice and kimchi. Overall the food was ok. The beef bulgogi did not have the same flavor throughout. There were some pieces that had a nice, savory flavor, then there were others that didn't taste quite right. Unfortunately i can't pin point the taste. The rice and salad were just a rice and salad. Service: The service was great! The person taking our order was very nice, helpful in explaining the ordering process, and menu items. They came to check up on our table a few time to ensure we had what we needed. Ambiance: it was a neat little place down town. Music playing in the background and clean. I would give this place another try.

This place is fire!!! Ate the Yuringi fried chicken and it was so good. Texture was a perfect amount of crisp and the meat was so tender and juicy. The Yuringi sauce was the tiniest bit spicy and full of delicious flavor. You wrap the chicken around the lettuce they provide, dip it in some sauce, and it becomes a refreshing, delicious bite. Ate with some fluffy rice and it made the perfect meal. The vibes are immaculate. There's a giant puzzle in front and the ambiance is hip cool Japanese bar. Service was super quick and the staff were helpful in answering my questions. I would definitely come back here again

Tofu was delicious. Easy to order and fast service. Side salad was simply lettuce, sliced radish, and dressing - could have a little more to it. The space is small and decorated with curiously charming photos. Perfect for a quick lunch downtown.

Service: It is self-service so you order via a kiosk but the owner welcomed us once we walked in. They were very nice and offered ice cups for the water. Food: We ordered Yuringi Fried Tofu and Yuringi Fried Chicken. The Yuringi sauce was tasty and was a good amount of spicy. Portions were a small given the price. Ambiance: They had interesting decor.

The chicken was crispy but not as warm as it should've been and the portion was very small for the price. The peanut butter pie was okay but did not meet the hype in reviews I read. It was meh.

I've driven past this spot many times and finally had the pleasure of dining here. There is a bit of construction in this area, but don't be deterred but this because there is a parking deck right around the corner and a parking lot across the street. Self-ordering can be done on the two touchscreens by the front counter once you walk in, and waters will be given to you there as well. You can then take your pick of seats. I really liked the decor and the music--it was definitely a vibe. I believe their menu has changed since opening, and I like that there are more entree options. I got the beef curry, which had tender pieces of wagyu beef smothered in a curry sauce. The curry sauce itself was good but I wasn't blown away by it--it tasted rather quite similar to the typical Japanese curry. Nonetheless, it was delicious. There were not too many pieces of meat within the curry itself, so in my opinion, it was rather overpriced for $16. They also have happy hour (drinks only) specials that will soon include some appetizers too. I learned that the owners of Magpie also own this spot, which means that the bread served at Magpie is used here for their sandwiches and can be ordered as a side.

Was in town for a conference and had been eating a lot of not so healthy options, wanted a "home cooked meal" vibe, saw reviews for this place and eyed the wagyu beef soup and knew immediately I had to try it. You order through kiosks at the front but there was a friendly employee there ready to answer any questions regarding the menu. The decor was fun and inviting, they had some chill music playing to add to the good vibes. I got the Wagyu beef soup with a side of rice, came out within 5 minutes and it was fantastic. Felt like my soul/stomach was so happy eating it, just felt like a nice bowl of something home cooked. Nice to reset your system after a work trip of eating junk lol. It came with chili oil & jalapenos and added a little of each for a little kick. Overall, excellent experience. I will definitely be back before my trip is over and this will be a spot I'll miss when I'm back home! Highly recommend

Great local spot here for some different variations of Korean style cuisine! They have something for everyone -- from burgers to Korean fried chicken and waygu curry, you'll def find something you like. We ordered the waygu curry with rice and a side of fries + the yuingi fried chicken and they did not disappoint! Everything was super flavorful and the vibes were laid back and comforting. Service was great too -- we ordered on the kiosk, sat, and the food was ready within 20!

I had heard of golden goose and I never knew exactly where it was until this past weekend! It's right in the heart of the city! My family and I went to the western culture stock parade and while looking for a place to sit down and watch the parade, we stumbled upon Golden Goose! They weren't open yet but we were still able to order and wait outside. It was the best seats in the house for the parade! When we arrived, Albert was cleaning/wiping down the outside tables and chairs. He told us his son and daughter in law own this restaurant as well as another one called Magpies (which I will definitely try). They have ordering kiosks for card purchases but they also take cash if you prefer, they take those cash orders at the register counter. We ordered family style and shared. We ordered the beef bulgogi and spicy pork (very very spicy fyi) as well as a BLT sandwich with fries for the kids. Everything was absolutely delicious! I ordered a Vietnamese coffee to drink and my brother in law ordered a beer and soju, iced tea and water for the rest of our party. They do have a full bar, fyi. It's a casual and modern take on Korean food with other "American" food options. They have farm partners where they source their meat and produce from which is awesome! There is both indoor and outdoor seating but it's not a big restaurant. During peak hours I'm sure there's a wait. Overall, great experience! Definitely coming back to try more of their menu options! Albert and the rest of the staff were so kind and welcoming.

First time trying out this establishment with a couple of my coworkers. You enter and you are greeted by a mom and pops kinda feel. Decor is amazing! You order your food on the iPads and they bring the food to you. The young man taking the orders was so kind and informative. He explained the best sellers and his recommendations were superb! I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken plate-it was delicious! Two pieces of thighs and seasoned sooooo perfectly! Not too spicy but super savory! I added a side salad that came with a lemony vinaigrette- also delicious! 10-10!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND My coworker got the curry and I was able to try it. Super delicious not spicy but savory full of flavor! 10/10 Pork bulgogli w rice and side of kimchi was delicious More on the sweeter side than spicy Finally, I ordered a piece of peanut butter pie it was soooooo good that 2 of my coworkers ordered it to go! Highly recommend this hidden gem I also talked to the gentleman that works there and he said they have a pretty awesome happy hour menu - I gotta come back!

The kimchi was delicious. I got the beef soup, was yummy. The beef was spicy tender with good portions. I added a little more red pepper (how I like it) .

THIS PLACE IS REALLY GOOD! GREAT SERVICE AS WELL!…read more Food: 4/5 The food has a great taste! I really loved the galbi, it was a little sweet but very good. The Banchan aren't what I'm used to, I guess I wish there was more variety. No rice paper, no radish, no mac salad, no potato salad...we did order the fried dumplings- they were good. Service: 5/5 They're very kind and attentive! The small group of women who run this place are doing a phenomenal job. All around:4/5. The plates are a bit small (I am a light eater and still found them not very big for the price) not ridiculously small, but on the smaller side. I am also used to Koreatown - Los Angeles Korean food which I feel is a league of its own (lol) so it's definitely hard for me to like just any Korean food. All in all It's a little far and out of our way, but we will definitely come back. :)

There were 7 different banchan options, and some were great while others were just okay. The fish cake and kimchi cucumbers were good, but others like the kimchi and the bean sprouts could have used more flavor. As an entree, I ordered the spicy tofu soup, but I wish it was a little spicier! The soup also had a stronger seafood/fish taste compared to other tofu soups I've had, which I didn't expect. The service was just okay, not rude but also not excessively nice. I liked how cozy the inside felt with the dim lighting!

Fast forward a few years, now named Garlic Bulgogi (and closer to Bandera/Huebner), the restaurant brings the same energy and joy with delicious, well-served dishes! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and we love the owner! She is always attentive and ready to check on guests. Tonight's experience was perfect! The Beef Japchae was packed with veggies, tender beef, hot, and the sweet potato noodles brought the right about of texture to the dish. Chas Market & Kitchen had been long on my list and since it was minutes away, seemed like the most logical choice. I have constantly heard people sing its praises. I will say I'm not versed in Korean fare. I had previously went to another Korean Restaurant and had a terrible experience. It is somewhere on the outskirts of the Eastside, alongside the highway. From the exterior it feels like a neighborhood convenient store. Once inside the room opens up with ample seating and tables. I noticed the tables that are specifically for their "All You Can Eat" menu but that's for another review. Along the walls are fridges with drinks and little knick knacks. It reminded me of a bodega. After we found a seat a server came and left menus. The menu is really extensive. I decided on their beef bulgogi, again a redo after the previous restaurant fiasco. A hip soundtrack is playing overhead, which I believe gives the place a modern vibe. Before I go on I must include that the server was excellent. I say this as he was very attentive but still able to work the rest of the room. Whenever I go to a new place sometimes I feel an anxiety. My fear is being disappointed and having wasted my time. But my impression is that it is an ultra laid back place. You can leave your Armani suit and Louboutin shoes at home. When the food came to the table it was served on a plate steaming similar to a fajita plancha. The server brought over accompanying small dishes that are meant to be added to the bulgogi. The small dishes contained: kimichi, spicy cucumbers, radish etc. Combining any or all with the dishes heightened the flavors. I think this was the most unique tasting thing I've had this year. In addition if you want a drink you have to choose one from their wall of fridges. I think this might dissuade some patrons but again, the overall experience is like that of a bodega. If you are looking for great Korean food with excellent service by all means go to Chas Market & Kitchen. So far this year this has been the restaurant with the most unique flavors. It is perfect for a date night, friends or with family. And I have to, have to absolutely do their "All You Can Eat" where you cook all items. I'm buying if someone else is doing the cooking.
