    Curry Guisada Dan Dan
    Amy T.

This place was definitely worth all the great reviews that it receives. I got my blue collar husband to try Asian fusion and he loved it. The environment was nice and cozy, set in an older house. They had covered outside seating as well. Make reservations. We were glad we did bc it was an hour wait at 1 pm in a Saturday. We had the crushed cucumber salad which was amazing! The cucumber was cut up in large squares not crushed. But the dressing was very good. We got the guisada dan dan. Very very good!! The meat was so tender and the flavor was awesome. We also got the Drunken Noodle with wagyu. This one was 10/10. They said it was spicy but it was not. It was perfect flavor! Also the drinks were amazing. Overall this restaurant is a perfect blend of flavor with family style service and awesome prices.

Toft with Soft Tofu w/Impossible Mapo Sauce Lunch Special

Long overdue review for Best Quality Daughter. Have been here many times for happy hour and my best friend had her bachelorette dinner here. Drinks are strong and tasty while the food is fresh and flavorful. I appreciate that they have several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. This visit, I stopped by with some co-workers for lunch. They have a few lunch specials, including the tofu with Impossible Mapo Sauce. The tofu was lightly breaded and sautéed and covered in vegetarian Mapo sauce, which I haven't found at any other SA restaurant. The lunch dish was also served with steamed rice and a vegetable spring roll. My co-workers had the lunch chicken cashew , pork belly, and shrimp fried rice, which were family style served in large portions. Our server, Stephanie took great care of us. The decor reminds me of a trendy artist's home. There is free parking in the Pearl parking lots before 3pm on weekdays.

Super excited to finally come here. Heard amazing stuff about this place from my friends. They did have lunch special with regular menu. We got mapo tofu, popcorn chicken, cashew chicken, some guisada beef dish and green beans. The food was interesting, the fusion with Mexican definitely is acquired taste. Our consensus was waaaaayyyyy too salty. The service was great, attentive waitress. This place is pricey though, shocked by the bill. It's a cute and quaint place with nice pictures on the wall. Overall, disappointed with how the food tasted. Popcorn chicken was the only decent one though it's not really popcorn chicken. We could definitely see how Texans would enjoy this place though! Hope we'd catch this place with a diff menu next time, seems like they change stuff frequently.

Came here post gradation as it was the restaurant my daughter selected - it's been a while since we have been here and we were excited to go back Food is amazing- only reason I have it as a 3 star is the service is underwhelming and a solid 1!! We ordered 2 cocktails, a lemonade and a mocktail - that took 15 minutes longer than everyone else so the toast to the grad who ordered it was delayed as appetizers came out before her drink Timing was also way off - we were asked what appetizers we wanted shortly after being seated and when we did order and told them we would start with the smaller bites and order the mains for later - everything came out at the same time except for one dish that was way later than everything else So before food let's talk service - it was a special graduation meal and though the food was good - the service is enough to make me not want to go back. The server was just socially awkward, was not able to converse and seemed to struggle with every aspect of the role! We spent over 20 minutes trying to flag her - then anyone down- just to order a soda as the mocktail was not good! We wanted second drinks but as there was no service to be found - we gave up. Dishes were dumped on the table by whoever brought them as we then sat with dirty / empty dishes throughout the meal except for the one or two we gave back and the one with food in it that was taken! Things got weird when we asked to bag up two dishes when the server seemed to really get confused and had to take time for her process and ignored the dessert order - then came to the table and asked if we wanted dessert!?!! She was very pleasant but the role of a server might not be best for her! Now the food however was a solid 5 - the chili crisp crab burrata was one of the best dishes I have had anywhere ! The garlic sticky noodles were also fantastic , loved the smashed cucumber, the impossible pot stickers were not as good as in the past as they were cold and chewy - almost as though they had been made days ahead and were stale! The mapo tofu was great and we have plenty left over and my husband and daughter enjoyed the cashew chicken! We love the quaint setting, great playlist and fantastic food but service throughout from the server to the folks expediting dishes was substandard ! For this reason would hesitate returning in a hurry!

I loved my food! Such a unique experience with the family style sharing and the different dishes! Their cocktail menu was unique as well. A can't miss in San Antonio!

This gem gets the 100% wow factor! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and very engaging. She made wonderful selections and helped us pick our meals. We started with Mirada, which might be one of the best appetizers I've ever had. Slightly spicy from the chili. We also had the chicken fingers. Crunchy but tender on the inside with a wonderful spice level. They do not hold back on seasoning their food. We shared a noodle dish with beef. The server suggested we added a fried egg to the top which made the dish even more creamy. We finished off with a coffee ice cream sandwich. We sat outside on the patio on a particularly warm day, but it was very comfortable. The feel and friendliness of the restaurant staff is noticeable. I would eat here every day if I lived in San Antonio. Outstanding.

In person experience was top tier, our server was so helpful, gave great suggestions and the food was delicious. The Thai limeade was refreshing, the bamboo was cool to try and delicious, we really enjoyed the super garlicky noodles as well as the drunken noodles! Also just a beautiful building, was happy that we were able to get a table immediately on a Saturday!

Literally the best restaurant I've tried in San Antonio - other than that Italian place in the museum. We got the potstickers and brussel sprouts for the appetizers and then we got the dan dan noodles for the entree and every single item was so flavorful, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. The noodles were my favorite because we got an egg on top and also the wagyu beef pieces was cooked really well. The brussel sprouts were insanely flavorful, and the potstickers were so nice and crispy on the outside while the meat was so soft on the inside. We also got 2 cocktails, and both were so light and fresh and not too sweet. We got seated on the patio immediately, and it was such a vibe both inside and outside this restaurant. It's also in a great area at the Pearl, so you feel like it's really happening and bustling with so many people. Our server was amazing, and he had such great recommendations (both food and drinks) for us and took care of us really well.

There's so much variety and great flavors on the menu. We tried three of the small plates and two large and had tons of leftovers to take home. They have rotating specials I recommend you try while they're offered. The service was good and they really knew the whole menu to help us make our choices. We went for dinner and got lucky with street parking right outside. Otherwise there's the Pearl paid parking lots.

Amazing caramelized pork belly to wrap in Bibb lettuce, marinated onions, basil and cilantro. Great dipping sauce selection.

Pork belly to wrap in Bibb lettuce, fresh basil and cilantro, dipping sauces. So good!

    Super Garlicky Noodles
    Amanda L.

I got the super garlicky noodles with an egg. The noodles had good texture and flavor. I wish there was a side of something spicy. It reminded me a lot of a glorified indomie but still good. Solid service and interior was gorg. Menu seems to be more family style.

Take me back STAT! I like to start with parking. That lot fills up quickly. Our dinner was early so we were there with enough time to get a good spot, but when we were leaving people were waiting to take our spot lol so be prepared. We made it on time for happy hour. My margarita was delicious. On to the food. OMG everything was so good!!!! Some better than others but I love to try things out. Our waitress was helpful and provided suggestions. The rice - YES The salt and pepper shrimp - HECK YES The curry!!! Pass on the cheese rolls and I loved the meat on the noodles but the noodles were too thick for me. But everything else was amazing and I can't wait to go back! The place is cute. I like the patio option for when you want to be outside.

Creamy Coconut Tom Yum Noodles Burrata w/Chili Crab Jam
    Michelle T.

I really loved the vibe of the restaurant and what it represents. Fusion Asian in Texas!! I thought everything was great. Some items were a bit on the salty side, especially the burrata with chili crab and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken (or whatever it's called on the menu). I think it's a great place to take your non Asian friends and let them have a bunch of different cuisines they've never tried.

I'm glad they had room for us but, it's still safe to make reservations. We did not know they are a tapas style restaurant, but that didn't deter us. And we were pleasantly surprised at the size of their "tapas". What we ordered was enough for two people to share. Dumplings - 9/10 Gulf Shrimp & Noodles - 10/10 Blistered Green Beans - 10/10 Ramen - 9/10 Service was great. It's a casual atmosphere, but perfect for an intimate date night.

A bit messy to eat but I would get this again. Udon noodle with pork belly: noodles were kind of irregular in lengths. I really liked the sauce with it but it felt like it was missing something. Light dish. Tc double cheese burger: very strong flavors, somewhat sweet. Dense/heavy dish . Our waiter was quick and friendly. The restaurant lighting was dimmed and gave a more intimate /bar environment. I think the ac was broken here because it was very warm and they had fans going on around the room. I think this place would be good for someone who is prefers an American fusion cuisine that leans heavily on the western style dishes. The fusion elements were cute but I still left unsatisfied but still full. We did not park. We walked here right from the river walk. Not a bad place to go if you arrive in town after 9 pm.
