I came here on a recommendation and they were so spot on with this place. I walked into a dimly lit room with a nice bar as well as couches and plenty of seats (don't let the outside fool you). I sat at the bar and checked out the menu. It looks like there are all types of options from unique burgers to ramen to salads and bowls. I ended up going with the tuna salad which is made with white tuna, thankfully. I don't do well with the texture of the raw pink type in sushi rolls. The bartender recommended using the ginger soy they make and a vinaigrette on top and woooweeee....consider my socks blown off! You have the option to do rice or rice noodles in their soy sauce. I went noodles and I am addicted now. I will definitely come back for more of those as well as to try their Mongolian burger next time around. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Parking can be tricky as it looks like this place stays packed during lunch. But well worth the hike. This was such a great experience that I may have to make this a regular spot. read more

Visited Pacific Moon based on the recommendation of a friend and I am thankful for him suggesting such a cool spot. The staff and service were great. Very friendly and attentive staff. Even when things picked up the staff didn't miss a beat. Great service!! Nice variety on the menu with some Asian flare sprinkled throughout. All the food was brought out in a timely manner and full of flavor. I will say that the Japanese dongas were a bit salty but robust with flavor. The Mike & Mark bowl was well balanced with hearty chunks or sirloin and chicken. The crab cake was decent. I'm not necessarily a fan of the tempura batter on the crab but that's just me being picky. The drinks from the bar were made very well. Balanced and booze forward as you'd expect either the cost of cocktails these days. I appreciate the fact that they were willing to spice up their Paloma on request. This place has a chill vibe. Cool neighborhood Bar & Grill. Nice decor and vibe with the food primarily Asian fusion. Good selection from sandwiches, salads, and hamburgers to ramen. The Mark & Mike bowl was good with the thick rice noodles, teriyaki chicken and steak and a fried egg on top. The menu says it should come with an egg omelette but the fried egg worked for me. It was a healthy portion so you won't go away hungry. I was hoping to try the Chili Nachos but they didn't have any chili available at the time. They have a well stocked bar and they're open till 2am. Although the kitchen apparently closes at 10pm. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered the tuna salad and it's supposed to come with cranberry but when asked about the waitress asked the cooks and said they are in the salad we can clearly see and taste that there are no cranberries on the salad. It would have been better to bring a side of cranberries instead of gaslighting the customers. Kitchen closes at 10. $11 Frenchy water was strong. It really was a positive experience overall, I just can't quite give it 4/5. Let me explain... I went solo in the middle of the week, and I was STARVING. Sat right up at the bar and it was apparently just after a lunch rush. So luckily, my food came out very fast and hot. I ordered the teriyaki bowl with noodles instead of rice. I think that was a mistake because it felt really soaked in sodium, just overly salty and oily? I think the rice would've soaked it up better, next time! However, the portion was incredibly generous! I originally ordered my favorite drink; Moscow mule, but they were out of stock on several things so had to sacrifice- ugh (jk!), and I tried their margarita. It was delicious! But no prices were on the cocktail menu, so when the bill came and I saw that my mason jar sized margarita cost more than my meal... yikes. I do think the atmosphere was cozy and I love that it was not "instagramy," just low key. I still think it felt a little cluttered. Very lively even on a Tuesday. And after a little waiting the service was incredibly attentive and kind. I'd like to come back, the proximity from me is fantastic, and I love the menu options. We were looking for a new burger place and found a new home away from home! The reviews all said "get the nachos!" Yes!!! Non-traditional; as they start with wonton chips, then the fantastic house-made chili, garnished with shredded cheese and fresh sliced jalapenos. Magic in your mouth! You can also order a bowl of chili - sounds like a great plan to fight the Artic blast headed our way. I ordered a Giant Burger which was fabulous - usually not much for lettuce and tomato on my burger but this was super fresh with vertically sliced firm Roma tomatoes and really on point. My husband and fellow foodie got the Mongolian burger and he loved it as well. The service was friendly and prompt. Kept our glasses refreshed. Full bar available. Very nice neighborhood vibe. Several TVs and a huge projection TV for watching sports. Nice music, not too loud; so you can have a conversation. The good: service was awesome! Nice servers and quick service. Pretty lights and a "local dive bar" atmosphere. Prices on food and beer were decent. The not good: They charge you 4% to use a credit card!! This infuriated me. I expect that at gas stations and dollar stores if under $5 or $10, but I've never seen that at a restaurant NOR on a $50 bill! Inflation is already jacking us all up (yes, even restaurant owners, but there are different ways to deal). This soured things. The things to consider: the food was good! And big portions! Although there was a taste in my samurai bowl that reminded me of my sponge when it's time to be thrown away. My husband's sesame chicken was awesome though! Also, I'm not sure if they're redecorating or what, but there were space heaters, TVs on the floor, and one visible side room that was being used as storage and seating. It was weird. I got a great recommendation from a coworker to try this place. He said his favorite is their Loco Moco Bowl. I was born and raised in Hawaii, so needless to say I was excited. When we got there we decided to try other dishes that we haven't had, i.e., dishes that aren't necessarily local to Hawaii, but similar. My husband had Coconut Shrimp and I had Japanese Dongas, chicken. Both dishes came with white rice and mixed green salad. The shrimp was lightly battered, with flecks of shredded coconut and fried, and was accompanied with a small pot of coconut milk. There was no seasoning in the milk, it was just straight coconut milk...bland. It supposed to be a honey yogurt sauce, but it definitely didn't taste like it in any remote sense. The house made ginger vinaigrette for the salad was...interesting. The Japanese Dongas was a panko battered chicken fillet, which was tender. The homemade gravy was a thin brown sauce that tasted like it had some vinegar in it. Unfortunately the sauce was so thin that it ran into my salad thereby making my salad soggy. The salad wasn't separated from the rest of the meal so the salad dressing and the sauce got mixed and it was not a good dining experience. The service was very good. The staff are attentive and pleasant. Also, they do charge a service fee of 3% if you use a credit card. I can't honestly say that I'd recommend the food at this place. read more

Pacific Moon is a restaurant often recommended to me and is a place that has a a loyal fan base but is not an establishment I can fully recommend. Let's start with the Positives. The service has always been great and I have never had an issue with it. The bar drinks are good and so is the ambiance. That being said, I have found the food quality to be rather inconsistent. The first time I went I ordered the Mark and Mike bowl that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a massive amount of food for a great price. I came back a few weeks later and ordered the same thing along with the cream cheese dip and coconut shrimp. This time the bowl was very salty and drenched in soy sauce and the egg on top was cold and rubbery. The shrimp in the cream cheese dip tasted off and was rubbery as well. The coconut shrimp was greasy and all the breading fell off as soon as you picked it up. Due to the inconsistency of my two visits, it's hard to recommend this place. You may go and have the same experience as the first time around or you may leave disappointed and unsatisfied. A few things I noticed: There are sauce containers on the table which are there to add some extra flavor to your dish but they are completely open and it doesn't really look like they're replaced often. One time either one of the owners, regulars, or workers was eating there and started playing edm music on the house system which most would find annoying but I just found funny because of how bizarre the situation was. read more

Here, NOTHING is traditional, so if you are scared of trying new dishes, this is not the place for you; but, if you are adventurous and have a palate ready for new flavor, you MUST eat here! I am going to start with my favorite appetizer, the famous Salmon-Mango Ceviche, well, my mouths is watering just thinking of this fresh dish, it is a delicate balance between sweet and spicy, with a generous amount of salmon, and they serve it with rice cakes, yes, you read it right, rice cakes, it add the crunchy part that completes this appetizer, definitely a must! My two favorite entrees are U Chicken and the Rammen soup. I'll start with the U Chicken, regular presentation is seasoned chicken topped off with fresh cilantro and serrano peppers slices, and it comes with rice (steamed or brown) and a side salad, but, you can order it in a bowl (this option is not in the menu but they will do it for you), when you get it in a bowl the do a bed of rice of your choice, then the chicken with the cilantro and serrano peppers and topped of with an egg, yes! And egg! So good! But it doesn't end there, you can add veggies and voilà! AMAZING! Then the Rammen, I LOVE IT!! It does not have that funky flavor, rammen soups have, here the broth can be quite spicy (yes!) and I like to get it with shrimp, no egg, with broccoli and cilantro. This is so freaking good! Mine and my daughter's favorite rammen in the whole city! Drinks, very stiff! They don't play around here! Excellent drinks! They have an open bar! Service, is excellent, all the waiters are very friendly and attentive, and if you go there often they will remember your order and drinks! Yes they are awesome! We waited a whole hour for our food only for the waitress to tell us she never put our order in. We're not the types to complain so we waited patiently. We were on our lunch break so that was all the time I had. Was super hyped to try this place because i've heard great things but super disappointing to have this experience. If i had more time, I would've taken up her offer on putting the order in just because I was looking forward to trying it. The rice bowls at this place are fire. They come topped with an omelette, which seemed strange to me at first, especially since I'm not a huge egg person. But O M G. This omelette makes the dish. It's kind of crispy and brown on the outside but unbelievably fluffy on the inside. I love food and I have never had an omelette like this. It's delicious, I joke with my bf that I'm going to apply for a kitchen position here just to learn how to make it. Tbh I haven't tried much else on the menu but I hear the ramen is just as good as the rice bowls. The house sauces it comes with are also fire. Check this place out, it's totally worth it. read more

Pacific moon is a must try Asian cuisine that is out of this world. Han the owner herself makes all of the food from scratch. They definitely put a spin on their yummy food and it makes it so hard to resist. My favorite is the ramen, they can add or take off anything you'd like but I can literally eat anything on the menu.
