    Mark & Mike Bowl
    Mark B.

Cool neighborhood Bar & Grill. Nice decor and vibe with the food primarily Asian fusion. Good selection from sandwiches, salads, and hamburgers to ramen. The Mark & Mike bowl was good with the thick rice noodles, teriyaki chicken and steak and a fried egg on top. The menu says it should come with an egg omelette but the fried egg worked for me. It was a healthy portion so you won't go away hungry. I was hoping to try the Chili Nachos but they didn't have any chili available at the time. They have a well stocked bar and they're open till 2am. Although the kitchen apparently closes at 10pm. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. We'll definitely come back to try some more dishes.

Love coming to this place! The cream cheese dip is to DIE FOR I get it every time! The service was super quick and waitress' were very attentive. Came in around 11:30 and was slow and lunch rush started to come in and the place was packed but lots of places to sit so wasn't a problem and staff was on top of it. Atmosphere was great and lighting was dim. They have different options of different foods! Place was delicious!

We ordered the tuna salad and it's supposed to come with cranberry but when asked about the waitress asked the cooks and said they are in the salad we can clearly see and taste that there are no cranberries on the salad. It would have been better to bring a side of cranberries instead of gaslighting the customers. Kitchen closes at 10. $11 Frenchy water was strong. Recommend the $12 spicy cucumber martini Dongas sauce was missing the umami. Recommend the rice noodles. Dark and the jukebox kept the vibe right. Service was nice even though we couldn't get the cranberries as advertised on the menu.

We came here to try lunch! The place is very quaint and welcoming. We had the big burger and Samurai bowl with shrimp. The samurai bowl was super tasty and fresh! And also had some lemon drop martinis - absolutely delish. I totally recommend this place!

It really was a positive experience overall, I just can't quite give it 4/5. Let me explain... I went solo in the middle of the week, and I was STARVING. Sat right up at the bar and it was apparently just after a lunch rush. So luckily, my food came out very fast and hot. I ordered the teriyaki bowl with noodles instead of rice. I think that was a mistake because it felt really soaked in sodium, just overly salty and oily? I think the rice would've soaked it up better, next time! However, the portion was incredibly generous! I originally ordered my favorite drink; Moscow mule, but they were out of stock on several things so had to sacrifice- ugh (jk!), and I tried their margarita. It was delicious! But no prices were on the cocktail menu, so when the bill came and I saw that my mason jar sized margarita cost more than my meal... yikes. I do think the atmosphere was cozy and I love that it was not "instagramy," just low key. I still think it felt a little cluttered. Very lively even on a Tuesday. And after a little waiting the service was incredibly attentive and kind. I'd like to come back, the proximity from me is fantastic, and I love the menu options. Maybe just at happy hour for a better price point?

Giant burger - all burgers come with cream cheese dip, wonton chips and a field greens salad

We were looking for a new burger place and found a new home away from home! The reviews all said "get the nachos!" Yes!!! Non-traditional; as they start with wonton chips, then the fantastic house-made chili, garnished with shredded cheese and fresh sliced jalapenos. Magic in your mouth! You can also order a bowl of chili - sounds like a great plan to fight the Artic blast headed our way. I ordered a Giant Burger which was fabulous - usually not much for lettuce and tomato on my burger but this was super fresh with vertically sliced firm Roma tomatoes and really on point. My husband and fellow foodie got the Mongolian burger and he loved it as well. The service was friendly and prompt. Kept our glasses refreshed. Full bar available. Very nice neighborhood vibe. Several TVs and a huge projection TV for watching sports. Nice music, not too loud; so you can have a conversation. Multiple seating options, high tops, tables, booths, at the bar and even a big L shaped couch to relax on. We'll be back, with friends!

I absolutely love the food here. Service was fast, especially when you have multiple servers. The place is a quiet dark little bar, but the food is so good. Drinks from the bar also very good. I will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

The good: service was awesome! Nice servers and quick service. Pretty lights and a "local dive bar" atmosphere. Prices on food and beer were decent. The not good: They charge you 4% to use a credit card!! This infuriated me. I expect that at gas stations and dollar stores if under $5 or $10, but I've never seen that at a restaurant NOR on a $50 bill! Inflation is already jacking us all up (yes, even restaurant owners, but there are different ways to deal). This soured things. The things to consider: the food was good! And big portions! Although there was a taste in my samurai bowl that reminded me of my sponge when it's time to be thrown away. My husband's sesame chicken was awesome though! Also, I'm not sure if they're redecorating or what, but there were space heaters, TVs on the floor, and one visible side room that was being used as storage and seating. It was weird. I appreciated the heat on this cooler day but it felt like they were in the middle of some projects or ran out of storage.

Went there in the evening around 8:30 very good service and food and hors d'oeuvres were excellent. Will be back.

This dive-ish vibes bar and restaurant and is a hidden gem for Asian flavors! Don't let the dark, aged bar atmosphere scare you, the food is on point and priced very well. Huge portions for the price. Crab cakes were completely different than what we've ever had. Left us fighting for the last one. Our bowls were delicious and equivalent to two meals each!

order- teriyaki chicken bowl with noodles If you live in San Antonio and haven't had Pacific Moon- go to Pacific Moon NOW. Their portions are big and every dish I've had has HIT. This teriyaki bowl comes with a nice pillowy, fluffy egg on top and is packed with chicken. I put some hot oil on it and *chefs kiss*. This is one of my favorite restaurants, it's definitely a 10/10. Also, the restaurant itself has a really nice vibe. ‍

Delicious and it also came with a side of rice. I give the bulgogi a 9/10 And the hangover soup 10/10 Super delicious

There were 7 different banchan options, and some were great while others were just okay. The fish cake and kimchi cucumbers were good, but others like the kimchi and the bean sprouts could have used more flavor. As an entree, I ordered the spicy tofu soup, but I wish it was a little spicier! The soup also had a stronger seafood/fish taste compared to other tofu soups I've had, which I didn't expect. The service was just okay, not rude but also not excessively nice. I liked how cozy the inside felt with the dim lighting!

He was excellent! It was our first time there and he was great about explaining how everything went and gave us good tips on ordering. He checked on us throughout the meal, never hovering but always right there when we needed him. The staff and the Kpot bear came around with a birthday song and dessert for my husband which was a nice touch. The food is excellent! I feel like you can't go wrong no matter what you order. Chas Market & Kitchen had been long on my list and since it was minutes away, seemed like the most logical choice. I have constantly heard people sing its praises. I will say I'm not versed in Korean fare. I had previously went to another Korean Restaurant and had a terrible experience. It is somewhere on the outskirts of the Eastside, alongside the highway. From the exterior it feels like a neighborhood convenient store. Once inside the room opens up with ample seating and tables. I noticed the tables that are specifically for their "All You Can Eat" menu but that's for another review. Along the walls are fridges with drinks and little knick knacks. It reminded me of a bodega. After we found a seat a server came and left menus. The menu is really extensive. I decided on their beef bulgogi, again a redo after the previous restaurant fiasco. A hip soundtrack is playing overhead, which I believe gives the place a modern vibe. Before I go on I must include that the server was excellent. I say this as he was very attentive but still able to work the rest of the room. Whenever I go to a new place sometimes I feel an anxiety. My fear is being disappointed and having wasted my time. But my impression is that it is an ultra laid back place. You can leave your Armani suit and Louboutin shoes at home. When the food came to the table it was served on a plate steaming similar to a fajita plancha. The server brought over accompanying small dishes that are meant to be added to the bulgogi. The small dishes contained: kimichi, spicy cucumbers, radish etc. Combining any or all with the dishes heightened the flavors. I think this was the most unique tasting thing I've had this year. In addition if you want a drink you have to choose one from their wall of fridges. I think this might dissuade some patrons but again, the overall experience is like that of a bodega. If you are looking for great Korean food with excellent service by all means go to Chas Market & Kitchen. So far this year this has been the restaurant with the most unique flavors. It is perfect for a date night, friends or with family. And I have to, have to absolutely do their "All You Can Eat" where you cook all items. I'm buying if someone else is doing the cooking.

Skip K-Pot and eat here. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!…read more For starters, the inside of the restaurant is cozy. Very clean, spacious, and you can hear your thoughts. The staff is attentive and our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat. The waitress was patient with us and explained how the all you can eat works. We were used to K-Pot where you just order and order, whereas here you have a limit to what and how much you can order. You are limited to so many items at a time, and we found ourselves actually enjoying that. We were not overwhelmed with too much food and no space. You don't have to get up from your table at all, everything is brought to you. All of the sides they bring you to go with the all you can eat are so thought out and flavorful. The noodles, the cucumbers and the squash, everything. And everything is prepared fresh. All of our sides and soup came out hot and steaming. Not like heat lamp hot, like fresh out of the pan hot. We got the ttekboki, fried dumplings, and vegetable tempura. They were all delicious! Now the quality of the meats here is MILES beyond the chain KBbQ places. All of the cuts were a decent thickness, and were portioned quite well. They were very flavorful. We ordered thinly sliced steak, spicy bulgogi, bbq chicken, and pork belly. All were delicious. We were a table of 3 adults and 2 kids and did not even get a refill on the meats. They also have a smoke vent to help with the grill. We really appreciated that. And we never had to change our grill, because things did not burn. Often at other places they are walking around having to change grills 4-5 times. Overall, this has become our favorite Korean Restaurant. We already have plans to return and bring friends and family. Give this place a try. The food speaks for itself, but the service and people are also awesome. 25 years in business, and it shows!
