They also give you a discount on any purchases you make in the nursery after your class. I really like the selection of plants they offer, especially even in winter. Most nurseries are empty, but Alice's had air plants and indoor plants and they all looked so healthy and thriving.

The snag I ran into with my family was how rude the front end staff was. We were glared at and not greeted. Then when it was time to cash out my mom asked one of the cashiers if she was open. The cashier rolled her eyes made a face and said yeah as though the last thing she wanted to do was cash us out. Her attitude was incredibly rude and disgusting!! The cashier that cashed me out wasn't much better. She didn't take the time to explain the difference between the 1yr guarantee and the as is price she just charged me the higher price without regard. The clerk was knowledgable and asked a few questions and diagnosed my problem as spider mites. She offered a few options and made a recommendation for spray that I could try. This is the kind of service that you won't get in a big box store. I also picked up several fun greeting cards. The prices are good. Every area that I visited, someone greeted me and asked if I needed help. I love this place and recommend for garden and gift needs.

The only thing that held it up from a fifth star was we felt like the staff was withholding or not taking us seriously when we were asking for interest in ordering a magnolia tree. We were asking for price ranges and they wouldn't seem to give it to us even though we understood that they didn't have them available currently or that they may need to look it up. I can't help but feel like I thought we wouldn't be able to afford it or something of that nature. Otherwise, a not so bad experience. You will find everything from wind chimes, tropical plants, fairly mature trees, and birdseed here.
