The store representative, Gail, was very patient with me. My feet are slightly different sizes, and I am exacting about both looks and comfort. She kept her composure during my multiple measurements and assessments, as well as through the prolonged testing of about 4 or 5 pairs across multiple sizes, with various configurations of two kinds of supports by strength, including multiple ones per size. I finally chose one pair of comfortable shoes, minus any inserts (I apparently needed them at "quarter strength", but it didn't exist). The shop could have used more soundproofing for one sale associate's loud voice as he was attending another customer. The thin-walled cubicle-like sections for measurements aren't sufficient to block out noise. The sales associate did turn off the TV noise at my request, though. It's unfortunate that this place was recommended to me as if it were a shoe store by another shoe store earlier in my attempt to find good shoes, but it's ultimately more of an orthotics store, with a very limited shoe selection. I would have preferred a different color for the shoes I got. I'm also concerned about the other, recent reviews about the overpriced orthotics - I didn't see them before I went there. I suppose it's for the best I didn't buy the orthotics, then. read more

Coming here was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I was desperate for relief from foot pain and they charged me $1200 for two pairs of arch supports that hurt my feet and three pairs of cushions with a big toe support that feels like walking on a pebble. I was told I have to use them for a while to make them comfortable. I did, but then I went to an actual podiatrist and got $40 inserts that worked IMMEDIATELY. The podiatrist CRINGED when I mentioned Good Feet. The no refund policy should be a huge red flag. Rude and Arrogant I had an appointment at The Westheimer location today. I arrived a out 10 minutes early and was waiting in the front while the "salesperson " finished with previous client. I overheard the gentleman asking why his were so expensive when his wife previously purchased and hers were less than half that price. The salesperson stated it was because they stocked more sizes. When he asked me to come on back, I inquired how much the supports were and he told me $2,000. Which he had just charged the gentleman before me $1,500. I told him I was not spending $2,000 and he said " I guess you will be back after you have surgery" He is a rude arrogant a$$, who takes advantage of people. Excellent products. It saved me from crippling pain 3 years ago. I went in to I this branch 3 days ago to get my arches adjusted. The salesman, Zach, was by himself helping 4 of us and doing a great job. I have had my arches adjusted many times before at the Katy store and never had a problem. He told me I didn't have the extended warranty with free lifetime adjustments. He called corporate and they confirmed this. He offered to upgrade my account for $99 and add the lifetime warranty. I was upset because I had never been told any of this before. I went home and my husband an I read our original receipt and low and behold we had not purchased this when we originally spent $1200.00. I went back to the store knowing I was going to have to pay the $99 because my supports were useless and causing me pain. When I got there Zach told me he hoped I would return and showed me my paperwork on his desk. He had tried to call me but had my number was wrong on file. His supervisor had told him to honor my adjustment this time and I would have to pay the $99 in the future if I ever needed another adjustment. That is good customer service. I will recommend the Good Feet store to everyone that has issues and especially this branch. read more

No podiatrist will recommend good feet because they want to sell you a custom orthotic for 3 times the price. Doctors look for every possible revenue source. The arch sold by my podiatrist was worthless. The good news is that this Good Feet will review your needs and change/replace the orthotic to address your changing needs and lifestyle.I go in once a year and am satisfied with the quality and expertise of their employees. After two almost two pain free years, Foot Pain is BACK WITH A VENGEANCE! Not sure where to turn to next?

Don't get these arc supports unless you plan to wear closed toes shoes all year round, like tennis shoes everywhere. The Good Feet Store will try to tell you that an active lifestyle works with their arc supports (like sports, sandals, flip flops, dress shoes and boots), but this is not true. I got my arc supports in winter, but when Spring/Summer came and my shoes changed my arc supports with these shoes started to hurt my feet. Eventually I had to stop wearing them all together. A month later I had shin splints and after two months of shin splints and in total pain walking I had to start physical therapy to get my feet retrained to function the correct way to walk. This is costing me more money and more pain then if I just had not gotten the Good Feet Store arc supports in the first place. You have been warned. read more

Beware, do not go to this store!! Their sales tactics are extremely questionable. I scheduled a consultation and they tried to sell me a "system" for $2,200. When I said "no," they were insistent and said, "oh, we have a payment plan," "Oh, I would hate for you to lose the benefits of this system," "Oh, even a day can make a huge difference, you should start wearing them right away." I ended up walking out of there spending $540 on a plastic insole, a "cushion," and a "wedge." It was almost as if the worker was told: "we will kill you if you let anyone walk out of here without buying something." I should have followed my gut instinct and just walked out of there. I did not realize until I got home and saw the receipt that all "sales are final." You are better off going to foot solutions where they will actually do a customized insole for you after scanning your foot; they're also a lot cheaper than this place. I'm actually worse off than before I went in there; I had heel pain but now I have heel pain, shin pain, and calf pain. I think it's a sign of a good company that is confident in their product when they don't pressure you to make a purchase instead of insisting that you buy something (especially when it's for medical/health purposes); if they knew their product was the best they would be confident that even after seeing other options you would return to them. BEWARE, do not go in there unless you are willing to spend $500-2,200 NON-REFUNDABLE or you are really good walking away even if the salesperson is super insistent. read more

I visited the Galleria store yesterday...the salesman kept stating he was "not a salesman" but looking out for my health..but he definitely was a salesman..I did not want to purchase the inserts at that time,wanted time to think about a $2100 purchase and to be able to bring in some of my own shoes to see if they actually fit..he was not going to let me leave w/out purchasing...we went from $2100 to a purchase of $143.00, which I really did not want to purchase but felt I had to just to get out of the store...and there are "no returns" once I got home...as I suspected, they do not fit my shoes at home...so waste of my money and time!!!! I am really amazed at the reviews. To read them, you'd think these folks did not know the cost before they bought the inserts. Now I've had mine and my son's for many years. And when the flood hit and washed them out to the street, the store gave us new ones. My son is particularly tough on them and they replace them when he "flattens" them. Are they stupid expensive...well, I'm guessing it depends on how you look at it. We used to take my son to a podiatrist and they were about $300/year. Having purchased one set years ago, he continues to get replacements. I've never once been in the store seeing people raving like they do on yelp. Why do they all seem happy? Because the product works. Are they custom? Maybe not, but they do seem to work well. I've never once had an issue. Totall rip off. I went in, was sold inserts for $785.00. A few days later my orthopedist asked why I was limping. I showed him the inserts. He told me to throw that garbage in the trash. When I told him how much I paid for them he suggested I get a refund. Good feet people weren't happy when I told them, but after several weeks they did refund my money. I never got serviced! There were no visible clear hours posted, so myself and a co-worker walked in to inquire about what you have. We walked in, saw a tall black man in the back talking. I thought he was with another customer, so we sat in eye view so that he could see that ppl were waiting for him. He stayed in the back of the store talking until another person walks in the door, a gentleman. The employee then walks up to the front and says we closed at 6:00p. My co-worker and I sat there for at least 10 mins before he even acknowledged​ us and this was only to tell us that the store was closed...if the store was closed, why hadn't you locked the doors? Why did it take someone else walking in to even acknowledge us??? I work in the service industry and what this man did was rude, unprofessional and a waste of our time. Heard about GoodFeet from a friend who recently went. I am on my feet all day 6 days a week. So I figured why not go to the location and see if it was worth buying the insoles. My boyfriend and myself went and were helped by Bobby. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The process was smooth and we both purchased the the maintainer and the relaxer which both have lifetime warranty. You can purchase a 3 piece package deal however they do sell the items individually. We didn't purchase extra items like the tennis shoes but we were happy with our purchase. Bobby was very transparent about pricing and we felt comfortable letting him now that we didn't want to spend $1100.00. He helped us find the best fit for our needs. The insoles are soothing and comfortable. Bobby informed us he would be checking in with us next week to see how we are adjusting and if any changes are needed we can go back and look at other options. It's worth it to visit the location to improve any back pain, foot pain, or posture. read more

A bicycle fall and a number of rear end collisions has left my wife with back problems for years. As a result she has seen rolfers and chiropracters for years. A cruise on Holland America just this month led us to the spa where the Good Feet inserts were being demonstrated. He had us step on a piece of cloth to show where plantar fasciitis was occuring and where the brunt of walking was present on the bottom of our feet. Here's the good news...The cost aboard a cruise ship is $199 for the pair out the door. The support she felt, and continues to experience is indeed real. As for myself the inserts, which he said last 15 years or so, straightened my stance, so as to eliminate my legs bowing and keep my head from jutting forward. The bad news...The rep said that on land you have to jump through a lot of hoops with the Good Feet store. Several fittings days or weeks apart. Sounds ridiculous to me. As for my wife...they eliminate much of the pain when on her feet. I do believe they will help everyone, but to what degree short term is questionable. What I do believe is that over time they will improve posture and as a result will eliminate much of the aches and pain most people experience. If it helps, I wear shoe size 10M and was fitted with a 5 and 1/2. My wife wears an 11 and was fitted with a size 5. Good Luck! read more

I went to the store at Westheimer at Post Oak. I might add that PT Barnham would be very proud of me (a fool born every minute). Their advertisement throws out a starting $59.95 price which is somewhat deceiving. I went in with no foot pain; I just wanted good arch support for high arches. I walked out of the store having spent $360 and was never shown a $59.95 option. I called back after I came to my senses and asked my salesman what was specifically wrong with my feet to lead him to ONLY recommend the $279 insert. His response, "that's a very good question". His answer , "the $59.95 inserts are no better than the Dr Scholls you get at the drugstore". Dr Scholls don't cost $59.95 i might add. Sounds ever so much like a true bait and switch to me. I should have gone to a reputable podiatrist to find out what i really needed. My salesman was RUDE and very argumentative. They totally misjudged my foot Issue, probably to make the highest sale. So, how is it there are no other reviews? Seems odd for such a great location to have no reviews. Let me say that this is my third visit to the store. On my first I decided to leave without purchasing anything. After listening to the advertisements, I went in expecting to spend under $100. Instead I was told the cost was $399. So, I went away a bit disappointed. I had purchased some on a cruise ship and simply wanted more. I returned and specifically asked simply to purchase a set. The "lady" who assisted me was quite short with me. Did not measure my feet, simply asked my shoe size and brought out a set. Told me that there was only a six month warranty and how would I like to pay. Hmmm? Well, I wanted an extra pair so I returned today. Was this the same store? The "gentleman" who assisted me was 180 degrees different. Polite, helpful, actually had an interest. Did not get his name, but suffice it to say, he was quite different from the "lady". I bought the shoe inserts system at this store yesterday to help relieve pain in my back and from a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot. My salesman, Todd, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I am pleased with everything I purchased except for an insert called a hug which I intended to use in my slippers. Unfortunately because of the construction of my slippers, the hug didn't work for me. Todd and Dan were very helpful with this problem and gave me a refund for the Hug inserts today. I took my Mother-in-Law there today as a belated birthday present based on the promise of a relatively inexpensive cure/treatment for plantar fasciitis. TLDR: Salesperson suggests I commit tax/insurance fraud instead of offering to sell cheaper solution. Oh, and apparently you can't walk barefoot after you start the system... Yeah system. Full version: The gentleman who helped us was very "confident" in his product and offered multiple tests to demonstrate that the inserts worked. (it reminded me of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4Vh8uKr1Gs but I am NOT claiming it was the same) As he worked hard to move us through the buying chain trying by fitting their three separate insoles (that's the system), trying on special shoes (because inferior shoes don't offer support), affixing the separate insoles to the special shoes (just to walk around the store and see how it feels of course), and instructing us on how to properly use our new purchase (how to use the system). Only we hadn't even talked about what we were interested in buying and no mention of prices, which was kind of alarming. Especially considering the people next to us were talking about using Care Credit to purchase/finance their insole system. Long story short, the gentleman throws out some something around $1,100 for three sets of insoles. I balked, I am not going to lie. I went there expecting to be offered a $80 base product and up-sold into what ever they could get. I was polite but firm and told the gentleman, "no, $1k is completely and way out of our price range". His response was to mention financing and TO USE MY HSA. Let me say that again, the gentleman, and by his actions now, lets call him the salesman, wanted me to violate federal law to buy a couple pieces of plastic. When I mentioned that the purchase was not reimbursable, because she, my Mother-in-Law, was not covered by my health plan (I did not mention that I did not claim her in my taxes), the salesman stated that I didn't need to disclose who the purchase was made for, I just needed the receipts. Only, yeah, you do. Part of submitting the request for reimbursement from the HSA is stating that the cost is a qualified medical expense. When that didn't work he went back to pitching financing the purchase, "It's only $90 a month for a year, no interest." Again I told him that $1k for inserts is out of our budget. He blustered his way through some high pressure sales techniques regarding treating my poor aching Mother, how it wasn't his fault that it was out of our budget, and mixed in the middle was how his $70-$80 option was available but was inferior and wouldn't help so he hurried back to his pitch about $1k for three sets of inserts. I told him our final answer was no, wished him a nice day, and shook his hand as I left. I am not mad at the Good Feet Store. I am mad with myself for wasting everyone's time. - I should have inquired about prices before going there. I noticed they didn't mention costs on their website or when they called to verify the appointment. That should have been a red flag - I should have mentioned to the salesperson right when we started that we were on a strict budget of a couple hundred dollars and if it couldn't be met, we could save ourselves the time and effort. So, does their product work or is it any good? I don't know. I hope it does for the price and for the commitment to the system. Their salesperson was polite and seemed to know what he was selling. -though I will note that they warned/informed my Mother-in-Law that if she used their system, she would not be able to walk barefoot again. Apparently you gotta wear house shoes at home so that you are always wearing one of their insoles. After we left, she said that the no barefoot thing was kind of a deal breaker for her. ---I don't know anything about the effectiveness of the product or the claim regarding walking barefoot. We didn't get that far with the product. Overall, I don't think I would go back even to get a cheaper product. They seem to be a system that you have to buy into or they won't work. You have to buy the three different insoles, you have to wear one insole set whenever you are walking. So even if you try to just buy the cheapest thing possible, you won't actually be getting the relief you seek. I DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE, but it seems that if you don't get the full system, any substandard results would be blamed on the incomplete system. I thought I was going to be getting inserts that were specially made for me. All they do is measure your feet then go in the back and bring out some inserts that cost $400 and state it will take a while to get used to. Well it has been 5 months and my feet still hurt when I wear them. Also was told I would need those velcro dots to stick to all of my shoes which do not hold the inserts in very well. The commercials are very convincing and although they state they are not actors I don't believe it. I should have gone to the orthopedic location my doctor recommended not I have spent that money so that is not happening. Extremely disappointed. It started when I called to get a cost estimate and was told $70-$300 and then once in the store the hard sale started on a $1000 insole system I wasn't interested in. I told the salesman what I wanted. I bought a set of arch support insoles for $80 that lasted me over 4 years, and I just wanted a replacement. The salesman proceeded to fit and recommend a $1000 series of insoles that I didn't need or want. Despite my reservations about the cost and the two piece design, I was convinced by the salesman's seeming expertise and the lifetime warranty, so I agreed to purchase one pair for over $350, with the understanding that they were supposed to "exercise" my feet and over time become more comfortable to wear for longer periods. After wearing them for a week and a half trying to build up from only wearing them an hour or two at a time, I determined they simply don't work for me. The two piece design I expressed concern about allows the rigid piece to move around inside my shoe, putting the arch in the wrong place and causing extreme discomfort. I found myself taking my shoes off about every 20 minutes to adjust, and I also discovered the full size insert piece wasn't even cut correctly to fit my shoe. I took them back this morning to get my money back and was told there are no returns or exchanges, only adjustments. I tried to explain that the rigid piece moves around in my shoe, it's not an adjustment issue, the design simply doesn't work for me. The salesman condescendingly pointed out and circled the return policy on the receipt. As a customer, pointing to the return policy instead of trying to find a solution or compromise seems about as insulting and lazy a way to handle it as possible. I was so disgusted I left the product in the store. I will be telling everyone who will listen to take their business elsewhere. read more

Time will tell if the inserts will do their job and I am hopeful. My problem is the cost! I made it a point to ask the sales appointment person what I might expect to pay in order to determine if I should move forward. Although she did say that the consultation was free, with persistence, she eventually admitted that most customers spend between $69 and $329/pr. What she meant was that one out of the three inserts was $329! I walked out of the appointment paying almost $1400 and feeling like I was bamboozled with 'extras' that were explained in a way that lead me to believe they were being included at no charge as part of the package and that coupons would help keep the cost reasonable. While I expected it to be somewhat costly especially since I also purchased a pair of shoes, I did not expect a $1,363.52 bill with coupons! It's a lot of information to absorb and it's certainly uncomfortable questioning coded line items on your receipt with other customers and salesmen standing around listening. I did call after taking the time to review the receipt in privacy and said that I did not understand that the extra pair of inserts he included were another $99.95. His reply was that with the coupon he 'gave' me, they were a giveaway but I could bring them back if I wanted to. I asked for clarification about the 6mo warranty and he insisted that any store would just give me a new pair of inserts even after that period if needed... (then why a 6mo warranty I asked myself). Again, I felt upset and uncomfortable that what was a lot of money to me was 'a giveaway' to the salesman. I hope that in a few months, I can say it was worth it, but at this point I am still upset with how the experience played out. Pricing should be more transparent and understandable and sales people should be considerate to that end. read more
